  1. Oh please, let's not get into platform arguments. They are never new and always turn stupid.
  2. VC, SA and IV all let you call for backup. It's safe to assume it'll be in V as well.
  3. If it was an iPhone, it would take forever to do the most mundane tasks, would lose signal every time you held it to your face, and the battery would die within four hours lolololololo. What phone they use is completely irrelevant as long as the menu is laid out intelligently. I'm sure they could let you customise it depending on whether you want your phone contacts, the cheat menu, or access to multiplayer at the top.
  4. Guess I'll merge this into the shit list topic then. I thought more people would look at it if I posted it here... The less people that read it, the better. People post that kind of thing to get visitors, and then we get people asking if it's true.
  5. The phone needs a camera that can be used for something interesting. It would be so much win if you could take photos in game and upload them to the Social Club. I get the feeling they intended to do that in GTA IV. Why else would they have made the camera option so obvious when it was only used for one mission? They must have run out of time.
  6. Arguably the chainsaw would be more fun.
  7. Statistics can be interpreted in any way to make your opinion seem like the most popular one. At the end of the day the only statistic that counts is who has the most votes on election night.
  8. I don't think it's as simple as 'adding an option'. They'd have to program an entirely different crash physics engine for it that probably wouldn't be able to cope with the same number of cars onscreen at the same time. I expect that would be compounded by requiring more detailed car models - not graphically, but underneath, they would need to have new models for wheels, suspension, the chassis, bumpers, and so on. If they put it in free mode they would probably need to reduce the number of players you could have. The problem with having too many MP game modes is that the more you split the online population, the less likely you are to find a decent sized game. The fewer decent games you find, the less you play, and eventually online becomes a ghost town. It just reeks of a novelty feature that people would turn on for five minutes and never use again - I think they would be better off spending time on larger areas that people would spend more time on. Disclaimer: I know nothing about game development. I just assume a physics engine that accurately replicates real car crashes would use a tonne more processing power and so the hardware could cope with fewer instances at the same time.
  9. It is possible to an extent, but I'd rather not see it. Any bump from 30mph into a solid object will write off a normal car. In GTA, that's basically every time you go around a corner. It's less about difficulty and more about spoiling the fun tbh.
  10. Was playing GTA IV with a friend earlier and we had a simple idea: custom rides to go along with your customised character in free mode. It spawns when you first join a game, and when you drive it into the sea, you could pick up another at one of a few garages across the city. You could unlock new cars and parts by levelling up. It couldn't be that difficult to add, Rockstar already went half way there with horses in RDR. All they would need to add are some customisation options.
  11. I've edited the title to something that doesn't look misleading on the front page. Also cleaned off-topic posts.
  12. You don't replicate a city in meticulous detail and then add random shit that doesn't fit in. Oh shit you're right! Of course, because the statue of liberty does have a soda in its hand and working heart on the inside. Well son of a gun I feel just a lil silly now. Its a fucking video game. Don't take it so seriously, they could add it in if they wanted it could easily be a secret base hidden somewhere on the huge map. Whether it is underground or whatever. You do not work for Rockstar Games so don't go thinking you can go crossing stuff out. I don't remember New York been set out as 4 separate islands that was separated from the rest of the country. Ouch, must've touched a nerve. Sorry. They store jet fighers in nuclear test compounds?

  14. No it won't be the final game. And I can't be arsed with cleaning this thread up.
  15. You could play GTA IV in the meantime
  16. Like Assassins Creed did? AC was so epic, but then it became annual and started to get worse. Ubisoft is probably worse for destroying franchises tbh.
  17. Faster cars need more torque and stiffer suspension. If you floor an Infernus at a set of lights, it should wheelspin uncontrollably. Through a corner it should stay flat but be disturbed by small bumps in the road. I'd also like it if they got rid of the constant redlining when you floor it. I could understand if it's while you're drifting but in a straight line the main character should be able to change gear properly. Then again, it is America and we know what they're like with manual cars
  18. Surprise buttsex with helicopter blades usually. That never gets old.
  19. Problem is, if we make this a retarded quotes thread, we'll probably break the forum within a fortnight... Still, I'm game.
  20. Is there a specific reason? Do you not like fantasy? You seem the type who would love fantasy games for some reason. Until there's a gay gang rape quest in DLC or a mod I don't think Q will be interested.
  21. The friend/girlfriend mechanic in GTA 4.
  22. Your original account is still active, assknuckle.
