  1. Merged into the main thread. I think it could do with a bump anyway.
  2. I think with paginated comments it makes sense to have newer comments appear first. Otherwise barely any after the first page will be read.
  3. A lot of PC quest glitches can be undone with the console though. PS3/360 doesn't have that option.
  4. Get out of your basement then and go live real life. I play GTA to take out frustrations and have fun, not to file taxes and pay for gas. Well to some extent he has a point, I mean when was the last time you murdered someone in real life? Or blew up a car? Or jumped out of an exploding plane? Yeah, filling your tank is a step down from those events, and is quite a weak argument, but still I think I can see kind of what he means. That dumbass would probably want a realistic judicial system, in which the character is sent to jail and must fulfill his sentence, all in real time. Imagine murdering someone and getting a life sentence in the first hour of the game. Game over. But I did like the jail system in Skyrim, especially escaping all stealth-like and shit. You could skip the sentence if you wanted, or break out. But if the sentences are realistic, that would be total bullshit in my opinion, even in game time. But personally I think it would be cool to beat the shit out of every other criminal in the courtyard, and then sleep the rest of your sentence, or just walk around the prison exploring finding ways to escape etc... More like a mini-game. Well we're getting a little off topic here, but... I know it's not GTA territory AT ALL but a randomly generated prison escape puzzle would be fucking brilliant.
  5. Whether you agree with taking these sites down or not, it seems like a total waste of time and money when there will always be thousands of other sites that do the same thing. You're never going to take them all out, particularly when they all begin to move out of the US. They need another solution. PS: Just a reminder that promoting warez is against the rules.
  6. So it took longer to complete the main story (ignoring side missions and other extra content) of a £15 DLC pack than it did to complete £45 worth of Modern Warfare 3... I couldn't really complain about that, tbh.
  7. Because it's there by default and isn't killing anyone to leave it there. Back in the day everyone added random shit to it. And you never know, we might find a use for it at some point.
  8. Touch screen controllers fail. It's why we don't have touchscreen keyboards for PCs. They're unergonomic and there's no tactile response. How would you put decent force feedback into a touchscreen controller? What would the battery life be like? How often would it go wrong? Filing a patent doesn't mean much. They're probably patent trolling more than anything else. They aren't doing particularly well financially at the moment so anything to get some money from licensing would be appealing for them.
  9. We don't host the chat. If there's a problem with it, it's because IPS (the people that host it) fails.
  10. GTA IV was closer to real life than GTA had ever gone before and people preferred San Andreas. If you want real life, go out and live it...
  11. There are plenty of ways of increasing difficulty without doing something as faggy as introducing petrol. They did that with one of the seaplane missions in Vice City, and it was completely pointless.
  12. WoW's map is in the pic on the first page.
  13. Are you blind or just stupid? It's still open.
  14. Yes I would. I'll buy anything with GTA on the front. I shall add a poll for you.
  15. Burnout Paradise is 200mi^2, Test Drive Unlimited 600mi^2... Yet it takes an hour to get around the TDU map and about 5 minutes to get around Burnout Paradise.
  16. No. GTA 4 was the first GTA game where every street had a name.
  17. If the map is that big and that diverse, then it could happen. The side missions could be pretty fun too. The map would need to be huge for it to work though, you wouldn't want a situation where the uniforms change between every street.
  18. yeah, didnt think of that. still it would be cool if they made a version without split screen then. In a time where dozens of players from around the world could be playing in the same game, wouldn't a co-op mode like in San Andreas look a bit shit? I'd say stick to system link. Also edited the title to make it look prettier on the front page
  19. Sounds about right. Is worth half credit. I think Mercedes added this one:
  20. Here's an idea guys: let us do the moderating. Use the report button if you want to flag something up, ta.
  21. I will leave this here because it's a relevant discussion, albeit a little early. If I close it a more retarded version of this thread will come out in a few weeks time. I'm sure Rockstar wouldn't mind a bit of critique to prevent the TLAD slump happening again. I think the problem with TLAD was it was a generic extension to vanilla GTA IV. In itself it wasn't a bad bit of DLC, but TBOGT was so much more 'out there' with new shit to do and was generally more extravagant - parachutes, tanks, and over-the-top missions. TLAD just paled in comparison. I don't think it helped that you started off as part of a successful biker gang, and finished up in a shack in the corner of the map where it always seems to be raining. I think people expect GTA to be rags to riches. Yeah, you finished off with money, but you didn't have anything to show for it. It wasn't long after TLAD came out that the trailers for TBOGT started rolling out, either. People's interest soon diverted. As far as DLC for GTA 5 is concerned... Well, it's inevitable. Hopefully they continue with episodic content rather than minor content packs, but I hope they stay away from exclusivity deals. Rockstar has more than enough money. What I would want to see obviously depends on what vanilla GTA 5 is like. If it goes for the realistic feel, then an off-the-cuff expansion (a bit like TBOGT, or Undead Nightmare for RDR) to change things up a bit would be welcome. What I didn't like in TLAD or TBOGT was how things like clothes shops were unused - if anything, more clothing styles need to be available. I also want to see content be spread across all packs. In GTA IV, the new radio segments were in all versions of the game if you had the DLC installed IIRC, but you couldn't get new weapons and some of the new vehicles outside of that specific episode. I understand it may be a technical limitation with multiplayer free mode, since people without the content wouldn't be able to see the new cars/weapons, but I hope they find a way around it for GTA 5. tl;dr: TLAD was boring and came out at the wrong time. GTA 5 DLC is inevitable.
  22. One of the biggest contenders for DLC imo.
  23. You do know what a pinkslip is, right? Do you not see how pointless it would be in GTA? Let's turn this into a general racing thread rather than solely about your idea.
