  1. But... you were admin once, and totally fucked up O_o
  2. You'll be able to get to the top of it. They can't have jets in the game and then block you reaching the top of the mountain. That just wouldn't be cool.
  3. Hope not. It was annoying how you couldn't enter certain areas without getting shot.
  4. All staff can moderate the front page, but I think we would rather keep it there than have it on the forum. At least I spend a lot more time on here than I do on the site.
  5. I don't want anything ridiculously difficult to get hold of. Every rare car should be available somewhere on the map, like where the Sultan RS was in IV. I found it annoying how the only way to get an Infernus you didn't mind smashing to bits was to either take Bernie's and multiply it by driving through Bohan, or never taking the gold one in the car theft side missions to the garage.
  6. If it's one city with no waterways, it could well be open from the start. If I remember rightly, IV was going to be all open from the beginning of the game, but they changed their mind at the last minute.
  7. Yeah there needs to be a proper mansion, like Diaz's place in Vice City. The most luxurious place in IV was Playboy's apartment, and only because it had a pool table.
  8. Somehow I think the trailer would have looked a hell of a lot better if it had been running on a PS4.
  9. Between myself, TF, OPX and Pieface, I'd say we cover the forums and website pretty well. Either we moderate the GTA 5 section properly or it becomes a shitfest of stupid rumours and dupe topics. You know all those people on the front page comments you're talking about? That's just what the forum will be like if we don't keep it tidy. When I was 14 it was fun to have an active forum full of idiots, but I'm older now and don't want to see it so much. When we get nearer to release, new info will be out, and there will be more to talk about. We're still relaxed around the rest of the forum. I also don't think that by encouraging people to put some thought into their posts, we are forcing people with sensible ideas away. I just think it's still early days. We are more active than most GTA sites, although we'll never be as active as GTAForums, but at the same time, no one notices anyone else over there. If we don't lock a pointless thread it just gets filled with "this thread should be locked" or "what a stupid topic" posts. Do you want us to start warning long term members for spamming in topics for the sake of hoping the new people stay and continue to make more, or do you want us to just close them and be done with it? Do you agree that you don't need multiple versions of the same topic running at the same time? This is why a lot of topics are being locked at the moment. And finally, are inactive moderators really a problem for you guys? We do have it in check, I just thought it was an interesting comment when you originally said we have too many moderators.
  10. Well, I would like a mobile-friendly version of the site, but that's really not my area
  11. We have nearly 3000 followers on Twitter but they don't keep coming back to visit the site every time something gets posted there. Given that we have the Twitter feed and a Facebook page, a newsletter that would almost certainly die for weeks on end and then have an occasional update to say a trailer is out is probably not going to work out. Do people even read email newsletters? Most of mine end up in the spam folder. I'm sure people will disagree but we have tried newsletters in the past and it simply hasn't worked out.
  12. If you wish to troll, please find another forum.
  13. You can request his signature be changed, yes.
  14. I kind of doubt this... If they are going to bother selling "install" disks to people with crappy connections only, they'll have problems with their supply chain on the customer side. No store (eg Gamestop) is going to want to let MS take up counterspace with that kind of product without higher profit margin... And yet these stores are quite happy with selling PC games that are also released on Steam... If a game store refuses to sell games they won't make any money anyway. They have to make do with what they've got. If you look around the Marketplace (and with what's happening on Windows 8) I think it's obvious Microsoft is pushing downloaded content. When the next Xbox comes out and hard drives are adequately sized, it's the next natural step.
  15. When I walk into a store and buy a game, it comes on a fucking disc.
  16. For games I reckon Microsoft will avoid Blu-ray. Loading times with high-res textures will be too high reading off a disc, so everything will need to be installed. In that case, they might as well make everything downloadable and sell install discs (which could be Blu-ray, but equally could be a high capacity flash drive) in stores for people with crap internet connections. Then the Xbox 4 will have SSD for blazing fast load speeds.
  17. I'm afraid I'll be too busy playing GTA 5.
  18. Average doesn't mean everyone is the same size. It just means there must be a lot of people with micropenis in this country.
  19. I'm really hoping they let us spawn a car of our choice. It sucks how you have to wait for the right time of day for a certain car. I've ended up in a fucking Lokus more times than I care to count in IV.
  20. Liability. If the game is rated 15 and a mod distributed over the PSN has 18+ content in it, who's responsible? Rockstar or Sony? That, and neither company make money out of user-generated content. PC is an open platform and doesn't have the same problem.
  21. It could happen on PS3 but Microsoft restricts user-generated content because it can't be arsed with moderating it. When I say it could happen on PS3, what I mean is it's technically possible, but won't happen.
