  1. I found an article on the release date, but I'm not sure if it's fake or real, the site is respectable and does say it could be a fake. Heres the link - http://www.nowgamer.com/news/1577460/gta_5_release_date_leaked_by_rockstar_rumour.html Q4 2012 seems ambiguous.
  2. Looks good, I'm really getting into post apocalyptic stuff now, with the walking dead (game and tv show). This game looks good, visuals will be good, considering this is an exclusive. Plus the actual storyline looks decent too, too many games often get ruined by crappy story-lines.
  3. The Ghettos and Gangs will be a lot different from SA, because that was in the early 90s. I was watching Ross Kemp on Gangs: LA, and apparently the biggest gangs now are the Mexican ones. So I expect to see more latino ghettos.
  4. I don't necessarily think the map size will be as big as San Andreas. You have to remember San Andreas was gigantic. Los Santos (main city) will be as big as LC (IV Era). But I expect some mini towns (like american country towns). I expect them to be about the size of Bohan (and perfect for multiplayer team deathmatch ;D) The countryside should be huge and might take most of the map.
  5. 1. In GTA SA, it was almost impossible to drive normally without damaging your car, when you tried to look cool in a Turismo, you either got tailgated by a speeding driver, had a frontal collision because the car on the other side ran over a bike and came over to your side of the road, you got t-boned at a green light by suspects fleeing from a police chase or even hit by a crashing airplane. Either way, driving in San Andreas was incredibly fun but sometimes it was really annoying that you couldn't drive for 30 Sekonds without any damage to your car. GTAIV car handling war probably the most realistic from all GTAs. Other GTAs made it 'too easy' to drive a car when in real life it's much more difficult. With IV they allowed you to adjust the cars speed (R2 with standard controls) and the breaking was much more realistic. 2. In almost every GTA games which included huge cities, the streets looked almost empty. In a huge city like New York, like in GTA IV, there should be very heavy traffic, but even if I put traffic on max, the time square in GTA IV still looked pretty empty. Its a delicate balance with realism and gameplay. If star junction was always full of traffic it would be crap to drive through. People need to remember this is GTA. I want realism too but not too much, after all this still is a game. 3. The damage model of the cars looked always very unrealistic. Do you think we will get realistic damage models in GTA V? Agree with you here, there were some improvements but in IV I basically had a side crash which only resulted in some scratched bodywork. Although some parts did improve, especially some cars going to the left after too much frontal damage. It is hard though to create real damage after all, if most GTA crashes happened in real life, likelihood is you will be in intensive care or dead. 4. And the last question...Am I the only one who thinks it is annoying that the car always starts burning and explodes when turned over on its roof? I really never liked this and I hope they will take it out in GTA V. What do you think about this? I like this. I wouldn't want it to change but I think it won't anyway, since if you just leave cars around on the map you'll need trucks to take them to a scrapyard or something. One thing I would like to add is I hope the return of the petrol opener thing on cars where if you hit them then the vehicle blows up.

    360 vs PS3

Graphics wise I would say the 360 is marginally better on most games that are released on both consoles, its mainly because developers I think still don't know how to properly utilise the PS3. If you look at PS3 exclusive titles, the graphics are amazing, mainly because they can use the full processing power of the PS3. Games like the Last of Us will be very good (especially in 1080p) when it is released.
  7. I would like to see any GTA that is based outside the USA. I second that. Rio De Janeiro would be a great city for GTA. My personal preference would be London (being able to drive on the left side of the road ) Other places like Tokyo would be good.
  8. You could just get it after your exams. I did that with IV. I've never really understood why games come out during spring. Games released before Christmas are the best.
  9. Who knows? It is possible for a late 2012 release (before Christmas), But it's becoming unlikely. By the end of September we should know when the game is released. I used to like it when GTAs got released around October/November. I hate the Spring release before exams and everything.
  10. It's not a bad scenario, maybe a little extreme. But companies will always be looking to add DLC to their games. I mean ACII was fully finished they took out 2 sequences and sold them as DLC which kinda ruined the ending of the game. R* will do anything to make more profit (no different from most other companies). TL&D and TBOGY were essentially trial runs for future DLCs. I personally would wait for a bit till a 'complete edition came out'. I made my mistake with GTAIV and ACII.
  11. It would be cool if you could ride an actual horse in GTA. It would be really good if the police in the countryside came after you in horses (sometimes).
  12. I have a feeling you have to start in the countryside so maybe the city will be restricted at the beginning. Other places that should be restricted are military bases, and certain parts of a police station (like in vice city). I agree with you with the wildfire disasters. But how about a genuine accident similar to the one in III, it was a lot more believable. They could do something like having a lockdown because someone has been kidnapped so the police need to cordon off parts of the city.
  13. African American is unlikely since they have already had that type of character. Most likely a latino american character will appear. They've already had numerous white protagonists, why can't they have more of another race? Besides, they had Luis in GTA IV TBOGT I don't really class the protagonists based on race, more with ethnicity I think. I mean Niko technically was 'white', but I always thought of him as Eastern European. People like Victor Vance and CJ, were black, so it's not as if there haven't been other ethnicities as protagonists. A latino or Far Eastern person would be a nice change, but who knows. Even a Middle Eastern guy would be a nice change. Possibly, he could be like Office Tennpenny (loved that guy lol).
  14. Maybe the Ned Luke character is just a NPC. He may be telling 'his story' to the main protagonist. I would hate to have more than 1 protagonist. If DLC does come out, maybe the same as GTAIV, but I dont want them to create DLC at the expense of the main story of the game, like I think they did with IV. I mean IV had less than 100 missions, and less than San Andreas. For me they should have about 150 missions related to the storyline. African American is unlikely since they have already had that type of character. Most likely a latino american character will appear.
  15. What was the site? http://www.thegtaplace.com/ It used to be a big site for gta stuff, it still is news wise. But the forums there are dead, activity picked up during the trailer last November but just nosedived from there on.
  16. It's more active than the other forum I was on (I don't know if I am allowed to name it here?) This forum has much more discussion on GTA V than my old forum and they layout is similar which I like.
  17. I'm Hussain and 20, I was on another forum for gta info but it was too inactive. I came across this website and liked it so I joined these forums.
  18. In some cars you have a sunroof, with that in mind, as a passenger you could literally fire rocket launchers from there as well as most other guns. Obviously with vehicles like motorbikes it won't work. Also a drive by on a bmx would be funny.
  19. I think some of the mini activities like bowling, pool and darts weren't that bad and I would like to see them return especially pool. I think IV wasn't as good as people were expecting simply because of the lack of storyline missions in comparison with San Andreas. I think SA had nearly 100 more storyline missions, which means it was twice as long as IV. Activities such as drug dealing would be nice, but can't see how it would be implemented other than something like the drug runs in the Scarface game. Maybe stuff like boxing could be enhanced (from San Andreas) with Boxing tournaments or similar Karate type tournaments. Also I would like to see more phone box assassination missions, similar to the ones near the end of IV. Also I want them marathon races from SA back where it involved cycling, swimming and running, the were long but good.
  20. I won't be pre ordering just yet, it depends on what further information we get as there may be different editions to the game. Would like to know a release date before I pre-order.
  21. Whats Revolution about? And I can agree with you about Falling Skies, they never seem to run out of petrol or ammo. I guess it's to make it more entertaining. Revolution is up and coming post apocalyptic tv show, I think it starts around October. But here's the trailer for it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwfCRAtkYEI
  22. I'm gonna take a guess and say the east asian and hispanic populations are much much much higher. Not sure really since I'm not from the states, but I am sure they are a large minority. On wiki it says they number 700,000 - 800,000 and up to 20% of Beverly Hills, so I they are quite a significant minority in some places.

    360 vs PS3

I own a PS3 because I can only really play with a ps controller. Have never got used to xbox controllers. I would say the advantage of ps3 is the free online stuff.
  24. Apart from the normal side of missions like taxi and police. I would like side missions with pedestrians expanded. The ones in gtaiv were good but too short but they did have an impact on the news on the radio which I liked, especially the serial killer guy (can't remember his name). Burglary missions would be good, and drug dealing, but other than drug delivery runs I can't see how drug dealing could be implemented, it would be boring standing on a corner of a street waiting for addicts to come and buy. I would like greater involvement in business ownership/management, similar to San Andreas, these could be effective side missions.
  25. I don't know if this has been mentioned but why not a Farsi radio station since real life LA has a large Persian Population. There's plenty of good Persian music out there. Plus the Persian community wasn't represented in San Andreas.
