  1. Like you said, the main character needs to memorable e:g Claude and Tommy Vercetti were very memorable in my opinion Memorable as in not black? I mean for fuck sake claude didn't even talk. And alot of people like Tommy and Vice City best because he's more relateable to them ( he's White ), same with the music ( Old School 80's White Music ). Most won't admit it but it's true. San Andreas was better in every way to GTA lll and Vice City. So it makes me a little suspicious as to why people prefer the other 2 more. I don't care if you don't like black people's character or the way they act or whatever, but at least please someone have the balls to say it. I know this is why alot of people prefer Vice City to San Andreas. Because they can't relate to the story or characters and as a result find it less enjoyable and are less drawn into the world, and are more self-aware when playing the game. Can I ask anyone here, honestly what's their problem with Black People, do you think you're better than them or maybe it's just you can't relate to them, I'm White and I can relate to them just fine. I just want to understand your point of view, because I don't get it. And I know this is the 2nd time I have brought this subject up, but I would just like someone to clarify what their problems are with San Andreas. Yes it's O.K to like the other games and their character's but claude, I mean come on he's mute, he's hardly a memorable character and to say he is more memorable than CJ is crazy. PS. Just my crazy opinion as to what I think you're implying with your statement. PPS. I don't know myself whether I'm trolling or not.
  2. Also if you have a helicopter following you, you should be able to lose it by going to a place that has a restricted airspace like the Airport. And the reason i mentioned the military not being in city limits, was that in SA id have the army follow me or spawn in a city. And to be more realistic, they should only be called in on helicopters, or out of city limits. If you want realism, then the police/army wouldn't shoot at you with civilians around/ behind you. And it would kind of waste the 6th Star if all you had to do to lose the army was to stay in the City. ( Imagines the army sitting in their tanks on the outskirts of the City saying ' Yeah you better not set foot in the countryside, Yeah!' ) Also the Army/ National Guard would only get called in if it was a State of Emergency like an Uprising amongst the population against Local Authorities. And with the headache one player could give Local Law Enforcement, I'm sure this would constitute as an uprising ( a One-Man Army Rebellion!!! ).................................................... Couldn't find the right emoticon, have they got a Rambo one?
  3. Great Ideas! I loved Scarface: The World is Yours on the PS2. It was one of the best movie tie-in games I have ever played. Rockstar doesn't usually like to copy ideas from other games, they are usually the one's that get copied. But Scarface had plenty of GREAT original ideas which I think would work really well if incorporated into GTA V. Other's probably won't agree, because god help you if you compare GTA with another game. Or don't come up with a virginal and completely original idea, without them saying 'you want a remake of San Andreas do you?' Come on guy's how many good and completely original ideas have you got that have not been seen in ANY game up to this point. Name a couple please
  4. I rest my abuse. Let's take a look at what you said now: - Put Phone in Sleep Mode ~ Shouldn't have to, maybe they should make friends more interesting ( or their phone calls at least ). - Don't Do the Activities ~ They are mandatory if you want the ( crap ) bonuses you get from getting Friendship levels over 80%. They should either make them more fun and interesting or remove them all together. - Because the 10 different coloured bandanas were so important ~ Damn Right!............................... But seriously the freedom of having alot more choice is better than having no choice at all, which is what we had in GTA lV ( at least in my opinion ). - You agree with me about car customization ~ At least Rockstar got that right, because it's definitely coming back. - Fixed Checkpoint System in TLAD & TBOGT ~ Technically I was talking about the original GTA lV game, but you're right. And GTA V will probably have a checkpoint system implemented. - It's a video game not a strip club/internet ~ Actually it IS a strip club ( even though it IS in a video game ). But I don't understand why? With all the murder and drug taking seen in the game why I can't see some CGI Nipples. I mean I'm forking over my hard-earned digital money here. - You're a pedo ~ Nah I was just joking................................................................... or was I? - Don't bother Shooting the Pigeons ~ But why is it even in the game in the first place. Ignoring it won't change the fact that it's a joke. At least in the older GTA's you actually got something for you efforts and not a slap in the face. Hopefully GTA V has some good rewards for your efforts ( that's if they even have you collecting things at all, and not something different replacing collecting ). Lastly I don't want Rockstar to re-make the same game ( San Andreas ). All I want is a more complete game, and GTA lV felt more like a tech demo, with all the features stripped away. Even in this bare-bones state it was a great game with some great new features. I just hope now that Rockstar has had some time with their Euphoria engine ( which was new at the time GTA lV was released ) they can pull a little more out of it for GTA V. To make this the best game of this generation.
  5. Love this game, but haven't played it in a while. One of it's major drawbacks and the reason why I can't get motivated to play it again, is the best armour and weapons in the game can be made rather than found. I have maxed out Smithing, Enchanting and Alchemy. And can create the best type of all armours and weapons, other than maybe Chillrend. I find there is little reason to go exploring because there isn't any real treasure worth collecting or powerful unique weapons/armour ( compared to my super weapons/armour ) to collect. Compared to Fallout 3 and New Vegas where the best weapons and armour have to be found through exploration.
  6. You were screwed if you had a wanted level and fell in the water aswell. Hopefully in this game you can actually dive underwater to get away from the bullets.
  7. That's what the point is... The music & songs in IV were not bad but weapons & car sounds were not impressive but actually shitty. Most of the time in the game we keep driving the car & keep firing. So these two types of sounds are very important than anything else. Also it need to be vary car to car & same for weapons. So if the car & weapon sounds cant impress us then it is really disappointing.... That's not really Fair. I like the sound the Desert Eagle made when I shot some random pedestrian in the face. It always sounded and felt pretty good. GTA lV overall had a much gritier feel to it compared to the past GTA's. But they definitely need to improve the SMG and Assault Rifle sounds, because they sound like toys. And the cars sounded alright, but in GTA V I want to have a tuned supercharged muscle car and just make that shit roar. You should be able to really hear the power of the engine. Also maybe a rumble feature ( on the controller ) for the more suped up engines, so you can actually feel the vibration when you rev the engine.
  8. Are you sure about that Massacre. I mean I know it looks good on PC but on my PS3 when you actually look at things upclose it's pretty average. I think you need to take Skyrim's landscape as a whole rather than inspecting it upclose. And Skyrim is by no means the best-looking open world game to date. Even though I was pretty awed when I started exploring the land for the first time, after awhile and on closer inspection everything is pretty basic and bland ( and not very detailed with choppy textures ). This is almost definitely different for the PC because it has advanced graphics options and effects. Oh and even though Fallout 3 and New Vegas are great games. Both have very bland/ brown and generic environments that are very simply detailed aswell. I don't even know why I'm arguing about this bullshit, because I couldn't give a fuck about graphics. Gameplay is 10,000 times more important!!!
  9. more serious? right because zombies are totally more realistic than bigfoot and chupacabra XD HAHAHAHA That's almost exactly word for word what I was going to say
  10. What beacuse The Walking Dead is CRAP??? Haven't played it, but it looks like very linear and boring. Also agree about Dead Island being kind of Average and not much like the Trailer at all. Then they release another trailer for the RipTide DLC and it's the same kind of trailer as the first. Don't They Know that We Know they're full of shit now.
  11. O.K. Kiddo. Do the following steps and you might start to understand where i'm coming from. Step 1 ~ Go out and buy two T.V's ( same models ) and all the games you just mentioned ( ie Fallout 3/ New Vegas/ Elder Scrolls Games ). Buy them for either the PS3 or Xbox ( not PC ) and then buy a copy of GTA lV. Step 2 ~ O.K now your ready to compare these open world titles against one another. Put GTA lV into the console of your choice, on the first TV. Step 3 ~ Go and have a smoke, and reflect about the choices you have made in your life, and ask yourself am I happy? Step 4 ~ Put the games you mentioned ( one after the other ) into the console hooked up to your second T.V. Step 5 ~ Compare the graphics in each game, checking the character models and environments. Step 6 ~ Slap yourself Even the old GTA lV ( which came out in 2008 ), has better graphics than The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim ( which came out in 2011 ). So I would say there is definitely an impact on the graphics in the games you mentioned. Just take a look for yourself. Also in the Bethesda/ Oblivian games you mentioned, after about a hundred hours in I usually experience severe lag and very long loading times. This is probably due to all the memory that has stacked up after time. And these games also have a vast amount of glitches which never get patched ( they always make sure to patch the exploitable ones though ). These games like Skyrim are not coded for consoles ( especially the PS3 ) and would cater better to a PC's processing power and other enhancements ( Graphics Card/ More Hardrive Space ). And that makes me wonder are you a " PC Only " Gamer? Because otherwise you would know the limitations cross-platform games have ( in relation to gameplay features and not just graphics ). Although I love the games you mentioned, the engine(s) those games run on are very different to the one Rockstar is using for GTA V. So this game with extreme character creation tools, aswell as perfect crystal clear nex-gen graphics, which you think CAN and WILL be made on current hardware ( even with it's limitations ) will almost definately not be made by Rockstar. At least not NOW or in the NEAR FUTURE ( they might re-design a completely new and revolutionary game engine for the nex-gen consoles but ). I think you should lower your expectations until the next generation of consoles comes out. Because even as powerfull as PC's are they need to wait for cross-platform games ( like the GTA's ). And the improvements in hardware these new consoles will have will produce more options in terms of what developer's can create and any new features they can implement into cross-platform games ( like character creation tools without making sacrifices in other areas of the game ). In a perfect world there would be none of these constraints. And then you could have all the eyebrows of any shape and size your little heart desires.
  12. I want to be able to knock people out and then put them in the trunk of a car. Then drive off to a secluded place and murder them, then dump their body in random places. That's Fucked Up. But Still Good
  13. HAHAHA graphic sacrifice just because in game player can customize his looks? Are you crazy? I dont want to waste time to discuss this and explain how wrong you are on this. Just go to game that I mentioned and see if they made any sacrifice in graphic! It looks way better than GTA4 so what the hell you are talking about. U got no knowledge about games at all. Otherwise you would not write such c....p! Customizations would eat up only disc space but no graphic! Kid just go watch APB character customization and gameplay before you talk such nonsense and make confusion to others that think like you. And watch some movies about newest game/graphic engines. If all would think like you then games now would look like those from 2002 ! You also think only for yourself ! If you dont like character customization then just dont use it! Ppl like you would chose character made by R* and there would be no problem! But you with your silly statements would block option for character customization just because you got no knowledge about games you just play them as most casual players. U dont like something then dont use it but stop stating that you dont want this in game. It is not your game so ..... Other players can give their suggestions as much they want and people that say that they dont want them are just worthless. If you got in game all you want then be happy and dont block other ppl ideas just because you dont need them. U are so selfish .....! I hate people like you... Dont be like that. Let other people have their dreams. Im sorry that I was to harsh on your statement but it is little silly. I understand that you dont want to make your own character, OK but I love to create my own character. It would be best that in games they are already created characters and option for making character. All people would be happy not only you. Look at mass effect they did only one character and his story but player can customize him anyway and that is great. Graphic didnt hurt at all from this. So what is the point in not making character customization. Anyway I hope you will change your mind on this. Cheers. Kid, first off Mass Effect was not an open world game like GTA. Second I have not seen an open world game where there was in-depth character customization combined with good-looking Nex-Gen Graphics ( please name one? ). And I don't mean PC only games, I mean cross platform games ( because PC's are light years ahead of consoles in terms of power ). Also I never pretended to be an expert on game design ( because I honestly don't know much at all on the matter ), but I have not seen anything like what you're talking about on the market yet. In the future anything is possible but. Don't assume I wouldn't like to see a character creation editor at all, because I said I wouldn't like it if graphical sacrifices had to be made ( just so I could change the width of my nose ). But if no sacrifices had to be made in the rest of the game, I would be happy for you to have as many crazy in-depth character creation tools as you like
  14. Good one, you just proved yourself wrong with that video you posted And then you either didn't have the humility to admit that you were wrong, or you are just a fool
  15. I don't want to make the character look like me or to have a charcter creation editor of anything. Also it would probably take too much power, and there would have to be graphical sacrifices made on the same scale as Saints Row ( and I don't want this ). Whatever character's they create, just make sure they let me customize their clothes, hair, tatoos, facial hair, piercings, weight and I'll be more than happy. Imagine that same customization from San Andreas with new Character(s), and great graphics in a new game world. There are so many possibilities. I hope Rockstar doesn't get lazy and just concentrate on the game world and story, at the expense of any customization. If this is truly going to be their most ambitous GTA game to date it would have to surpass San Andreas. And it can't do that without at least an equal amount of customization compared to San Andreas. Otherwise it will only be a better looking game with a stronger story. But won't be on the same level San Andreas was when it first came out.
  16. High expectations are a double-edged sword. On the one hand, a great game will probably only meet your expectations without being too satisfying or overly surprising ( compared to if you had low expectations ). On the other hand, if we as consumers expect better quality games with more original content from developers, this will probably spark a little bit more creativity from them ( compared to if we were just happy with games as they are ). And hopefully this would create a greater influx of higher quality and more original games. Either way, RockStar is at the fore-front of high quality game design. And GTA V will almost definately end up being a great game, whatever the finished product looks like.
  17. It would be cool if you could travel to other cities like that. But I think Vice City deserves a game of it's own. It will probably be the next GTA ( after V ) to be released, and will probably have the most detailed game world we have ever seen. I Can't Wait .
  18. It would be great against the cops, because they use hollow points which break up after contact in the targets body ( ironically they use these to minimize civilian casualties from firefights, and because they're more lethal against un-armoured opponents ). But when you get up to the higher Wanted Levels when the FIB and Army get involved, they will probably be using bullets with Full Metal Jackets and Armor Piercing capabilties ( which would make taking hostages useless, and your Bullet Resistant Vest less usefull ).
  19. When I say ragdolled when shot, I don't by any means fall down when shot with a 9mm round... I mean if you get shot with a shotgun, fairly close range, you might stumble or fall over, or even die. It may not kill you instantly, but you might hurt you really bad... Who wants to play a game where you can get shot by a 12 guage shotgun 3-4-5 times and only lose 3 quarters of your life? Also, in real life, you totally get ragdolled when your shot. As any sniper in the Army or Marines, he will tell you that if you get shot with a sniper at 400 yards, the intestines of the unlucky fellow being shot at will make it a good 12 feet before they hit the ground 12 feet away from the dudes body... Tell me, do you think that man would still be standing there, unmoved, or would his body be on the ground? *How would realism be fun when it comes to the shooting mechanics. In real life one bullet in the right place would be enough to kill you and to die from. Is this what you want? One bullet and Game Over. Restart the game from the beginning. I do understand what your'e saying though, but it would only work if it minimally affected your aim ( getting shot ), or if an enemy was close range with a shotgun ( it could cause you to stumble ). Because otherwise you would not be able to react to gunfire from multiple enemies unless you were in cover. And there would be no way to recover from a ragdoll animation under sustaining fire. Oh and with the sniper example you used. That target would be on the ground because he is probably dead, people don't get ragdolled in real life. Movies usually dramatically portray gunshots to make them appear more exciting ( with people flying backwards ). But if you know physics and Newton's law, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. So for that force to happen to the target it would probably have the same effect on the sniper ( which it wouldn't ). You could also be talking about a bullet dance that a target would get if under sustained fire from say an automatic weapon. The target might not be able to react effectively ( if at all ) from this, but it is nothing like a ragdoll animation.
  20. Well, isnt san diego just like los angelos? Id like more variation then that... Yeah your probably right, they are similar. And Los Angeles also has Hollywood which San Diego doesn't have. I would like to have the variation of three very different cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas, but I don't think Rockstar is making GTA V big enough to accomadate all of that. I can still hope but. One of the great things about San Andreas was just when you where getting used to Los Santos you got thrown out into the countryside. Then moved to San Fierro, and before that got boring you were sent to the desert and Las Venturas. And by the end when you had accumulated more money, power and respect ( plus got better weapons/ and a jetpack ) you go back to Los Santos to help your almost extinct gang take back all the territory they lost. And become the Boss of Los Santos. Great
  21. Bought that a year ago, and still haven't gotten around to reading it. Any good?
  22. BlackSox9

    Fallout

Fallout 4 will probably end up coming out with the next generation of consoles. Where should it be set ?( Where in the US or Outside ). I heard an unconfirmed rumor that it might be set in Boston, but that seems kind of boring to me. Although I didn't like the idea of Fallout 3 being set in D.C, and it turned out to be a great game anyway.
  23. Keep it Auto Lock-On for the shooting mechanics, because odds are enemies will be getting tougher in this installment of GTA ( especially with the re-introduction of the ARMY ). And I don't want to be ragdolled every second from the sustained fire from them.
