  1. Well, he said "frankling" works at an "herbal place"... Whoever/whatever that is.
  2. *Places flowers on the grave of the English language. Sobs uncontrollably.*
  3. The over-under on an accusation of racism was 2 hours. Who had the under?
  4. Skis. Surfboards. A good set of golf clubs. I've never been a fan of buying cars in a GTA game. Feels wrong to me to spend hard-earned money on something I can just go out and steal. Also when I collect cars in my garage I tend to be afraid to drive them lest they get destroyed, so what's the point of collecting them in the first place?
  5. gambolling: present participle of gambol (verb) - to skip about, as in dancing or playing; frolic. Sounds awesome. Not enough frolicking in past GTA titles.
  6. Rockstar doesn't need us to tell them how or when to market their games or announce release dates. They're pretty good at what they do. Delays are frustrating, but they're part of the business, and I'm not aware of anyone who decided to never again by a Rockstar game because of something like that.
  7. "...the city of Los Santos alone is comparable in size to the whole of Liberty City, and that doesn't take into account the surrounding areas..." From IGN's Getting To Know Los Santos, yesterday.
  8. I'm just happy to see the site back up. Had no idea how heavily I was leaning on you guys until you were gone!
  9. Can't we all save ourselves some time and just copy/paste the last 20 pages of the "map size" thread?
  10. IV had a few areas where the story branched, I wouldn't be surprised to see that expanded upon quite a bit in V.
  11. A couple things I noticed the 30th time watching that I didn't see the first 29... 0:40 Ballas graffiti on the bench where Michael is sitting when Franklin and Lamar approach him. 0:46 The car repo'ed by Franklin has a temporary tag, it says "SA EXEMPT" instead of "SAN ANDREAS". 1:05 Dinner for everyone on me at Nutsaki. 1:13 As Trevor is taking off in the plane, you can see a few motorcycles in the background, and he's getting shot at. Pissed-off biker gang? 1:14 In the next scene, the red plane (I assume still piloted by Trevor) is chasing/following a white/gray plane through the canyon.
  12. In trailer 2 we hear a reference to "Trevor Phillips Enterprises"... Guess we have a surname!
  13. Getting a good chuckle out of people crying about the IGN stream on Twitter. All it's going to be is a few guys sitting around talking until the trailer hits at the top of the hour.
  14. Sorry to resurrect an ancient thread, but couldn't find another reasonable place for this... I was flipping through the latest artwork and noticed the illustration of the Vinewood sign had what looked like graffiti on the last "O". Out of curiosity, I looked at the last scene of the trailer again, and sure enough, something similar appears there. Is this anything? Probably not, but I thought it was interesting.
  15. On the topic of interiors, maybe there will be a lot of interiors that are unavailable (locked) at the beginning but are unlocked as we progress through the game. That would give Rockstar the ability to build in the familiar progression mechanism to the game, without explicitly restricting the map itself. A locked door seems a lot more natural than having several bridges closed down for days and days of in-game time due to suspicion of terrorist activity.
