Why not? In team based games in RDR you can have Rebeldes vs. American Army and such, then you are automatically given one of those character's models. What's to stop people from having a racist gang war? If they want to play honkys vs. spics vs. crackers that's up to them, R* can't really stop them.

GTA V Trailer + Breakdown
ViceMan replied to Grizzly's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
Is he black? I just thought he was a bit tanned. Possibly Hispanic which would tie in with what some of the Rockstar employees *cough*bullshit*cough* have said in their numerous leaks. -
Drug Dealing in Grand Theft Auto 5
ViceMan replied to therealkiddala's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
Drug-addled, bullet-riddled... Although I don't condone drug use, I wouldn't mind it being in GTA V. I could see it as an activity to get extra funds. And maybe sometimes you go to a deal and get ambushed by your buyer's gang. Sort of like the side mission for that guy in GTA IV but more intense and random. Or you could do the same to a seller, kill the gang, take the merchandise and keep the money. *shrugs* -
The Argument for San Fierro and Las Venturas
ViceMan replied to City of Dis's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
All we can hope for is a swift death few screenshots to be released in the coming months that might hint towards other cities, until then there is nothing in the trailer - as far as i'm concerned - that 100% proves there will be other cities. -
The Argument for San Fierro and Las Venturas
ViceMan replied to City of Dis's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
There was no dam in GTA IV. I can't make my mind up yet, and to be honest I have no reason to argue one way or another. I've swayed from one side of the fence to the other and back and i've come to the conclusion it's pointless speculating until R* finally decide to reveal their master plan to us. It's nice to talk about "what if this was in the game" and such, but I wouldn't get your hopes up too much. -
The thing is the ones you are talking about aren't random, they happen at a certain location and time. They are just side quests in that sense. A random encounter in GTA V would be somebody stealing your car while you're sitting at the side of the road, or somebody trying to mug you (gimme your wallet! ala GTA 2.) Or perhaps a random shootout between two gangs that you could join in.

GTA V Trailer + Breakdown
ViceMan replied to Grizzly's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
It just occurred to me, the casting call for voice actors information that was found earlier in the year, has anybody cheked any of the characters against those in the trailer? -
I think I did that too, but they were too slow and cumbersome.

The only theory I agree with. All the others are too far fetched.

I'd like some more open-planned safehouses that don't feel so crammed. Maybe with nice plate windows so I can sit in my safehouse watching the world go by outside. But I don't think we'll get anything like that until Vice City (which is the city that's going to be in GTA VI, I work for Rockstar y'know.)

So you're saying we get no sunshine whatsoever? Are you kidding me? We're lucky in Essex (just outside of London) to get one day's worth of rain in a week. Even in November there's not that much rain. You've been brainwashed by all the stereotypical propaganda, go eat a burger. However, the rest I will agree with you, not a good place to be setting GTA. The 'just outside of London' bit wasn't necessary Vicey, all yanks think everyone in the UK lives 'just outside of London'. Of course, Liverpool is just outside of London, isn't it? Now that would make a good game haha GTA Scouse City haha "Ar'raite ar'raite chhh'yaaaaam down orrailgivyeragoodkechken." Translated for those of American intent: "Alright alright calm down or i'll give you a good kicking!"

I'd imagine Los Puerta would be a suburb or a city (don't get your hopes up noobs,) with the freeway leading into it. So the freeway is named so because of the place it leads to, like many of our roads. [/statestheobvious] Anyway, The Door isn't that funny, a lot of Spanish cities names have literal meanings - El Paso is "the step."

I'm tempted to reinstall SA yet again. But I always regret it as it crashes in a certain spot, even before i've begun modding it. Fuck knows why... Plus the original 1.0 version of SA I had is long since gone, the new ones restrict what sort of modding you can do, no script editing. Only basic text files.

I'm not hoping for much, but I haven't been following the reviews and such so I don't know a lot about it. The only new thing I know about is the grapple hook. Perhaps i'll be plesantly surprised by all the new features that have been added. But probably not. [/pessimism]

Hidden Package Predictions
ViceMan replied to Tahkyn's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
Whatever we have to shoot I just hope there's a better fucking reward at the end. The old era GTAs had the right idea by giving you a weapon spawn at your main safehouse for each 10 you collected. But they changed that in TL&D and TBoGT making that the reward for gang wars/drug wars, so I don't know. -

I think I might invest in a new PS3 before GTA V is released, even though my one is still working perfectly. It's four or five years old now and time to get a new one. -

Why didn't you just switch it to normal flying mode and taxi it out of the hangar? Easy. People used to say flying it was a bitch, I used to fly it upside down quite easily, hmm.

15th I think it's coming out, i've got it pre-ordered.

There's only too much going on when there's no space left on the game disc. More stuff = a more varied playing experience and also more things to shut the whiney noobs up. "But I want to fly a plane over the hood and parachute out into a lowrider then take it to a casino and win millions on a roulette wheel then go and kill some prostitutes with a purple dildo!"
