  1. I figured out how to start solo sessions last night but after playing for hours I only managed to get 30k. I didn't know about the selling cars to LS customs though, could make life easier.
  2. I've been having a real hard time trying to get to play with other players since GTA online went.. well online. I only got into 2 team death-matches and the lag from my shitty Internet connection has been unbearable. The only way I've been making money was through doing liquor store hold-ups and solo missions and it has been a very slow grind, only to get hunted down by other players to kill me and take all my cash while I'm on the phone trying to deposit my ill gains. Yesterday I gave in and decided to get the cheapest cash card so that I could buy myself a safe-house, but as fate would have it, they seem to be down for maintenance. I'm somewhat relieved I didn't take the easy way, but I wonder if Rockstar got enough negative feedback that they're considering removing that option?
  3. There is a song on Radio Los Santos that features the lyrics:"I'm a fucking genius, look at my fucking penis." Every time I listen to that line, I get a mental image of Einstein with his tongue out as he flashes his shriveled old man penis at my brain camera. Oh those wacky contemporary hip-hopsters. When I was a kid, I listened to rap because those songs had words like fuck in them. In my teens I began to appreciate the rebellious angst of the likes of 2pac and public enemy. Now I rarely listen to hip-hop because it seems to be full of egomaniac assholes and Einstein dicks.
  4. Fuck! I'm going to have to dig out my old iPhone, hope it works with the iPhone 4.
  5. The streets of Rome are filled with rubble, ancient footprints are everywhere. It's a shame the show didn't get a 3rd season.
  6. Well it wouldn't be similar to GTA if you take guns or the ability to kill someone out of the equation. Besides, the way beatnic described it; it could be an action RPG. Choosing a major could be like the SPECIAL system that is used in Fallout.
  7. Anybody remember the videogame they made for the PS1 of police's wildest chases back in the day?
  8. I love QI! My favorite panel guest is Ross Noble. The episode where the whole panel got hung up when he said: "Toblorrone Rollo Combo" in his weird Geordie accent.
  9. I'd like to see a GTA game set during the American-Aussie war
  10. That seems to be the most sensible thing to show off, though I'd like to see some open world fun.
  11. yeah but RDR and LAN were original IP's and MP3 was the first Max Payne not to be developed by Remedy, whereas GTA is R*s cash cow. I'm sure most fans knew they were going to buy this day 1 all the way back in November of 2011 without knowing anything about the game, at least I knew I would.
  12. The smaller places earlier in the game would be purchasable regardless of how you got the money, but the bigger properties would need clean money to buy them with. That's what I meant.
  13. I've been thinking a lot about money in the game and how that works, and I think you will have two pools of cash for each character similar to Scarface: The World is Yours; dirty money attained through heists and other illicit means, and clean money that has been laundered through a front that you own. Certain properties will only be available to purchase with laundered money and you will need to be able to have enough clean money to buy it, and this may be a home or business. Barry, in the safehouse topic earlier you said: I think you may be on to something here with some kind of real estate registry authority scrutinizing on any possible property sale with illicit cash for the more expensive properties. This would create a system where the player would spend dirty money on heist preparation and clean money on homes and businesses. Would make sense because I can't think of how else money plays such a pivotal role in this game, but maybe that's just me.
  14. I like my weather reports with a little sexual innuendo, the weather reports on the radio in GTA IV were fine. Maybe there's an app for the game's smartphone to provide more detailed weather, but I don't really think it should be more than sunny, cloudy, rain, etc. Although I like the idea of wind effecting car handling.
  15. Check out this Demo of hacking mode in Watch Dogs I usually feel like the multiplayer in open world games tend to be tacked on (R* games being the exception of course), but the idea that someone could be in my game hacking me as I play just feels so right in the overall feel of this game! I honestly couldn't give care less what was being said about Watch Dogs interactive multiplayer during E3, but now I know I have to get this game.

You're right but the did show gameplay footage, check the second ign link and the one just below. I was a bit busy during this year's E3, but I managed to catch Ubisoft's conference and they demo'd the game live. I'll add the demo in this post so you can check out the gameplay. I added the ign interview because when I saw the demo I thought you had to fast travel between cities, although that's not what the creative director said to ign

I feel like this game flew under the radar for a lot of people at E3 this year, but it got me very excited. It's an online open world racing game set in the whole of the United States featuring everything from racing on the streets, off-road and even tracks, In addition to challenges like takedowns and off-roading. Cars can be customized for the nature of your race or challenge. What I found to be so impressive is the sheer size of the game, you could literally drive from LA to New York! There are plenty of US cities featured in the game as well as diverse countrysides. I found the following interview with Julian Gerighty, the games creative director to be quite informative, although I should warn you that Greg Millers laugh will rape your ears http://www.ign.com/v...gn-live-e3-2013 This game looks like it will be great, but it's also got me really excited at what a next gen GTA might be like.
  18. I have a recurring nightmare where I unscrew one of my nipples and eat it, so I tend to avoid sleep until I pass out which is why I'm always tired. I play videogames to stay up so Dozy Gamer sums it up rather nicely. Ok so maybe the recurring nightmare bit isn't true but I did have that dream once and woke up frightened and confused, fortunately both my nipples were intact. I could probably start a whole blog about all my weird dreams. You can find me on Destructoid as DozyGamer too.
  19. Yup, it was featured in an episode of VH1's The Fabulous Life of Billionaire Lumberjacks. It belonged to the guy responsible for cutting down the magical erected forest which cursed all of mankind with morning wood. Also I wonder if we could buy pets. I want to get Franklin a cat that Chop could chase around. There's my contribution.
  20. It seems to be a thing with some custom chopper builders, they like a cleaner look - see http://4.bp.blogspot...s1600/21591.jpg for an example This has actually got me a little excited at how deep the vehicle customization goes.
  21. I don't know if it's all those stupid deodorant ads that were on ign's live coverage; but is Franklin sniffing his armpits?
  22. Found this leaked Watch Dogs E3 trailer on youtube, apparently posted a couple of hours ago. It's all CG though and doesn't say much about the game, I hope we get more on Watch Dogs in the next couple of days. I also remember Rockstar -while not actually participating in E3 2004- released the above screenshot online of CJ on a bicycle in front of the Los Santos convention center. Which, of course, is based on the iconic LA convention center where E3 is held every year. While I know Rockstar hasn't been in E3 for a long time, I'd be lying if I said I'm not hoping for, at least, a screenshot of the new LS convention center in the next couple of days.
