Trailer #2 Discussion

O.K. so what interesting addition to GTA V's Los Santos would you like to see in their place? ( and by their I mean what instead of Street Gangs? ). Sarcasm is completely over your head isn't it? I know he's being smart, but he also believes what he said. Just because he doesn't want the Ballas to return doesn't mean he doesnt want street gangs. I personally don't want to see ballas return, it would just be tacky. I do however want to see ghetto areas with gang activity. I already made a couple of posts proving he was wrong, and he edited one that made him look bad, and deleted the rest. Watch this one get deleted. 'History is Written by the Victor', my friend. -

Unbelievable, we need more people like you here sir. What we need is a State of Emergency, and Martial Law at 6 or 7 Stars. With Mayhem and Looting in the streets, and the Street Gangs and Drug Cartels trying to take over the city. The government then has no choice but to send the Army and Special Forces into L.A. to try and stop all the violence. Killing anyone who puts up any resistance. Michael, Franklin and Trevor are caught in the middle and have to fight everyone in their way, using any and all weapons and vehicles at their disposal. Let The Games Begin!

So I'm guessing you're hoping there are no street gangs whatsoever. Is that really an accurate representation of L.A. today? His eyes are definately Fucked Up! It will probably be fixed by the time the game is released. -
I like the Creedence Clearwater Revival version ( and I like a lot of their other songs as well ). But 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine' is much more of a 'Soul Song' to me than a 'Rock Song'. Especially the way Marvin Gaye sings it. The way I see it is that Soul comes from the heart, and that the Real Soul Artists, take all the pain and sorrow they've felt throughout their lives and use it as their muse when they sing. And that song really makes me feel something when I hear Marvin Gaye's version, much more than CCR's version, their version doesn't end up having the same impact for me. But if you feel the opposite, that's O.K.

Some great music for one of the classic music stations: Stevie Wonder ~ Superstition: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=rhw_zbvxvb4 ~ You probably heard his other song 'Skeletons' in GTA V's Trailer 2, but this one is probably his best and is definately my favourite. Jimi Hendrix ~ All Along The Watchtower: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AuxJH2Mj30&feature=player_detailpage ~ The Master of Guitar and Psychedelic Genius Jimi Hendrix, this is one of his better songs. Black Sabbath ~ Paranoid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kz_6jagv_D4&feature=player_detailpage ~ One reason Ozzy Ozbourne is remembered as more than a spaced out druggo. Dick Dale ~ Miserlou: ~ You probably first heard it in Pulp Fiction, Dick Dale uses break neck guitar work for this solo. He was known for his expeimentation with Reverberation in his music. The Stranglers ~ Golden Brown: ~ Remember the song from Snatch.Booker T & the MG's ~ Green Onions: ~ Another Classic which would be great for cruising to.Marvin Gaye ~ I Heard It Through The Grapevine: ~ You can really hear his soul through his lyricsI hope the classic music station has some songs like these.

I second that, for the no more random lane changing part. It's like the motherfuckers are intentionallly trying to cut you off, and get in your way when they see you coming along behind them. It takes me like 10 minutes just to get across one of the bridges in GTA lV. Just because after someone cuts me off, I have to park my car so it blocks the road infront of them, I then get out and shoot the driver, as well as any passengers who are also in the car, along with anyone honking their horns at me. This ends up happening multiple times to me before I finally get off the bridge. And ofcourse the police interfere with my efforcement of other drivers road etiquette, and I end up having to correct them as well. It drives me crazy. All in all it would be much easier if the traffic in GTA V was better, compared to the aggravating crash into my car ( just after I visited a Pay N Spray ) every second of GTA lV. Accept it would be ten times worse because Rockstar's bringing back Car Modification for V. So your car which you just spent 1000's of dollars on get's rammed seconds after you modded it, wouldn't that piss you off?

i think that if you mash Liberty city together, and get rid of the water inbewteen the islands, I think thats the basic size of Los santos. i know the forest wll be pretty big, but around LA there is more of a presence of desert. so i think the desert region will be the largest. The prison will be pretty large also, but i dont expect it to be a major part of the map. I do expect for a desert airstrip, like GTA SA, and i think that grapeseed will be up in the foothils of the moutains and the forest, possibly in a U shaped valley with the mountains surrounding it. the maps ive seen are also very linear.IMO the map will be spread out up and down, but also to the east of the city. The desert ( like ive stated above) is a major part of So-cal's geography, not as much as the mountains above. Some large Salt Flats would be good as well. Since the real L.A. has something like that nearby, and because I would like a large, flat and open space to test out the performance and top speeds of some of the better cars.

It was built with the Xbox 360 in mind. Then a rough port was made for the PS3. This was done because Bethesda knew that they would have more sales for the 360, and thus made that version superior. Bethesda couldn't give a fuck about PS3 users, otherwise they would of worked with Sony on these issues. Just look at Fallout 3 and New Vegas as well, I bet they didn't even hire play testers for the PS3 Versions. And if they did, then they knowingly released broken games. Just 2 Cents from a Playstation Fanboy, who hopes that both Fallout 4 and the next Elder Scrolls Game run just a little bit better on the PS4.

The paint on the road looks a little too good/clean. But other than that, the mod looks real nice. Can't wait to see what the real GTA V looks like.

Life bar, 100 HP or RDR Style of Health?

BlackSox9 replied to Fryman's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
Your probably right. God I hate homicidal maniacs. i hate the people who blame that shit on video games even more. I agree. These are the same people that seem to think that Video Games are a Children's Pastime, even though the average age of a gamer is about 30 Years of Age. These same people jump to conclusions when it comes out that a mass murderer played videogames. They look at it from an outsiders perspective ( Parents/ Politicians/ and Lawyers looking to make a quick buck ), and without any understanding of gaming as a genre or even in a general sense, think that they can make an informed judgement on a case involving many factors, most importantly being Gun Control and Mental illness. Countless Studies have found that there has been no correlation or causation between violence portrayed in a video game, and violence being then re-enacted in reality. There have been some studies that have seen an increase in agression because of the competetive nature of a game, but this was also shown for non-violent games, and usually dissipated within a couple of hours or less. The fact of the matter is that most adults that are menatally stable individuals, can tell the difference between violence in a game and violence in reality. Both in the difference in the effects of their actions, and in any repurcussions they would then be subject to if they were to commit such acts of violence. Only a very small minority of people decide to commit these acts of extreme violence, and they probably do so out of individual problems with their personal lives or with society in general. Even if games did play a part in the causation of this persons actions, it was only one of a number of many triggers culminating in mass murder, and it would not even of been one of the major triggers. And all of these anti-gaming advocates that say that violent games dehumanise people, and desensitize them to violence. They forget one major principle that defines humanity as a whole, and that is that Violence is one of the Base Insticts of Human Nature. And one that will not disappear in the near future, or for some time to come. This along with Society's Apathy towards violence and other important social problems, are probably the major causes for the wide-spread violence you see in America and around the rest of the western world today. If in the future Western Society can come up with a structure that is more fair than Democracy in it's present form, I think we would see a major de-escalation in violence, and in crime in general. But just look at America ( the so-called leaders of the Western/ Free World ), it is one of the biggest proponents of inequality, just look at the way they view socialism. Due to some very smart propaganda from the Right-Wing there, the word has become abhorrent to the majority of people, and something like a Public Health care system is seen as a precursor to Communism, America's old enemy ( which is of course a joke ). I find it almost funny sometimes ( if it wasn't so sad ), that society is so shocked when things like this happen. And that they wonder what could of caused such unspeakable acts of violence. They don't think for a second that they themselves are to blame, every one of them wants to blame the individual that enacted the violence, but don't want to face the realities about what caused the problem in the first place. They voted for the government, and elected representatives in their Senate and Parliament, who pass the legislation for mental health care reform and the laws surrounding gun control. But what it ultimately comes down to is how we treat one another, on a human level. Because in the end we're the ones who disrespect one other and ridicule the weak and different. We assault one another, we lie, cheat and steal from one another. We cause other's to hate the world their in, and the society which seems to support inequality. Sometimes I can almost understand what some of these murderers went through before they decided on their course of action, even if I can't condone what they've done. A lot of other people don't want to put themselves in a detestable persons shoes, but if you want to fix the problem you first need to understand the causes. Just some of my opinions on the matter. -
It's Official!! Spring 2013...

Dear iBeNiko: Bioshock Infinite is being developed by Irrational Games, which is owned by Take Two Interactive and is being released in March. Take Two also owns Rockstar Games the developers of Grand Theft Auto V. So you may see the conflict of interest there by releasing the two games too close together, and having them compete against one another for sales. Therefore I think ( and some of the other members have also mentioned this in their previous posts ), that GTA V will be released sometime late in April or in early May. So as to give Bioshock Infinite at least a full month to gain a headstart in sales, seperate from all of the attention GTA V will no doubt get after it's release. Also it wouldn't be released too late in May, because 1 - E3 will be in early June, and will probably feature the nex-gen consoles as well as nex-gen games, taking some attention away from GTA V. And 2 - Take Two would probably like to get as many sales as they can for GTA V before their end of financial year report. -

Life bar, 100 HP or RDR Style of Health?
BlackSox9 replied to Fryman's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
There should also be a way of upgrading your body armour as well. Like say soft vest body armour for resistance to melee weapons, reinforced hard plate or kevlar ballistic armour for protection against firearms, then maybe one that encompasses both. After that you could turn yourself into a human tank with heavily reinforced armour, that could protect your entire body from any firearm attack accept for maybe an RPG. Like say the armoured suit at the beginning of Lethal Weapon 4. Then you could go on a killing spree causing as much mayhem as you like before the military comes to put you down. All without the need for cheats or camping in an easily defensible position ( with no chance of being flanked ). -

If there is going to be a regenerating health meter, then the difficulty scale needs to be ramped up considerably from GTA lV. -

GTA 5 Car Modification
BlackSox9 replied to The Mad Dooby's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
Implement a purchaseable car insurance feature into the game for any car/bike you currently own/have. Then if your car gets destroyed, just ring the insurance company number on your phone to have a brand new car ( same model as the old one ) delivered straight to one of your garages. Problem Solved. -

Sounds very plausible since he did a number of tracks in GTA lV. Looks like Rockstar is searching for underground artists to fill the 'good music vacuum' that we have from contemporary music.
