  1. Totally agree. Cheats take away from any feeling of progression and accomplishment. Earning money by doing various missions, activities, gambling or by robbing is better than just entering a cheat. Progressing through the Main Story missions or completing a certain number of challenges/ activities to unlock weapons/ upgrades/ cars/ safehouses is better then entering a cheat. Looking for collectibles and getting spawned weapons that way, or completing vigilante/ ambulance/ firefighting missions and getting bonuses boosting health/ armour and the ability to become fireproof is better then just entering a cheat to become invincible/ or replace your health and armour automatically. Cheats are better for going on killing sprees, and for generally creating as much mayhem as you can, seeing how long you can last against the cops ( although if there is an invincible cheat you could last forever/ unless they have a glitch like in GTA SA where police helicopter rounds are able to penetrate you ). I don't save after accessing cheats, and usually won't fuck around with them until most of the game is completed. And I definitely never use them for story missions.
  2. Take 2, Rockstar's parent company is rumored to have multiple titles currently in development. An Article on Gamespot pointed this out. Saying ~ *Take-Two has ( an ) 'extensive pipeline' of unannounced titles in development *Grand Theft Auto publisher says it will reveal these mystery projects "in the future months." Here's the full article on the speculation ~ http://au.gamespot.com/news/take-two-has-extensive-pipeline-of-unannounced-titles-in-development-6404968
  3. Anyone remember the End Game music from Medieval Total War? I used to love listening to it after beating the Campaign. European Faction Win. ~ The Arabian Faction Win song sounds good as well. ~ http://www.youtube.c...lXgB-R0Bs#t=69s
  4. Interesting stuff, and an unbelievable Last Stand. Weird I haven't heard about it before. Gurmukh Singh, the Last Sikh Standing ended up killing 20 Afghans, with the enemy having to set fire to the Fort in order to kill him. As he was dying he was heard yelling the Sikh battle-cry " Bole So Nihal, Sat Sri Akal " ( Victory belongs to those who recite the name of God with a true heart ). I have learnt some things about Sikhs from Sikh friends at school and at work, and have done a bit of internet research on them as well. And from what I've learnt, it seems like they they were pretty much the Apex warriors in India. Usually being physically superior to other Indian Castes. Not just in strength ( they're also on average taller than most other Indians as well ), but also in their courage and determination. I know that the Indian people are broken up into a caste system, with Sikhs playing the primary protective role for the rest of the Indian Castes ( and not just as warriors, but Elite warriors ). The British saw how effective Sikh warriors were in combat when they invaded India in the 17th Century. And they played an integral role when incorporated into the new British/Indian Army Corps from that point on, up until India's Independence in 1947. Without their help in Africa, The Middle East and Asia, I doubt that the British would of been successful in maintaining their Colonies in the East as long as they did. Even with their unmatched Naval Superiority. I also know that the name Singh, which is commonly used as a title for Sikhs ( usually a Middle or Surname ), is roughly translated from Sanskrit as meaning " Lion ". An animal which is usually associated with warriors ( like for example the English King " Richard The Lionheart " ).
  5. My Great, Great, Great, Great, Great, Great ( and maybe a couple of more Greats ) Grandfather was a German Mercenary, who was a part of William of Orange's ( William III ) Army when he invaded England and took the English Throne. He then took part in the battles to retake Ireland, and was given land there as payment for his services to the new King. Years later, when the Catholics retook Southern Ireland and alot of the Protestants where dispossessed of their land ( a large percentage of Germans were Protestant, including my relations ), my family sold everything they had and moved all over the world, including to the USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Although my Surname is actually Swiss, and that part of my heritage belongs to one of the oldest clans in Switzerland, going all the way back to the 12th Century. And most people who know their history, are aware that the Swiss had the best mercenaries in all of Europe throughout the Mid and Late Medieval Periods, and all the way up until the Renaissance. Our Coat of Arms has two crossed swords with the Swiss Cross below it and the Northern Star above it. Here is the Wiki for Swiss Mercenaries. Which points out that our Pikemen were one of the best military units in the world at the time. ~ http://www.google.co...ydMaGNGxnPq2qqA To this day the Swiss Guard still protect the Pope in the Vatican City. These were the last Swiss citizens permitted to act as mercenaries for a foreign power since 1859.

  7. I don't know about always, because you can't predict how good Total War Games will be in the future. But Medieval 2 was great. The Shine on the Advanced Plate Armour for all the different variants of Knights still look great when compared to the Total War's of today. Plus the Expansions where all unique and different, and the Music was some of the most Epic in the series.
  8. New Trailer for Rome 2, all of it was made from In-Game Footage using Creative Assembly's new heavily modified Warscape Engine.
  9. I Like the Security Guard idea. Maybe they could have them in the Shopping Malls ( if there are any ). And you could also see them dealing with people Vandalising/ Spray Painting or Stealing from the shops and interevene in either the Guard or the Perps favour. And yes to the guards in the Cash Transit Vans having guns. Also there should be more than 2 guys sitting in the front of the van to protect it from robbery. For instance 3 guys sitting up front and another 1 or 2 in the back with shotguns. Plus maybe a motorcade of two or more cars, each full of officers armed with assault rifles for the bigger shipments of cash and barabonds. These could either be visibly escorting the Van, or more incognito; anonymously trailing further behind waiting for someone to attack the van before acting.
  10. I loved wasting Drug Dealers in GTA San Andreas. I hope GTA V has some interesting people to shoot, like maybe Lollypop Ladies, Traffic Wardens, Lifesavers, Clowns and Acrobats ( if there's a Carnival or Circus area ), plus those people who walk on Stilts ( in the Circus ) I want to take a basball bat too them and watch as they take a massive fall onto the pavement and crack their skull open . I then want to let the lions and tigers out of their cages so they can meet the crowd, and then ride the elephant into downtown Los Santos causing plenty of mayhem along the way. Probably won't happen, but a guy can dream can't he?

I love the sound of that gun in the Killzone 4 Demo. Also the new Infamous title "Second Son" is a reference to the Secret Society "The First Sons" who created the Ray Sphere in the 1st game. I think that one of the new protaganists will be involved with the inactive group in some way. First Sons info ~ http://www.google.co...S2RjKBsu8Ch8shg And yes I said protaganist/s, because the Trailer pointed towards an "Anti-Hero" type protaganist plus a normal "Do-Gooding Hero" type as well. So instead of following either an Evil or Good Karma path, Sucker Punch will be making a less black and white experience for Infamous: Second Son. Hopefully with more meaningfull choices that are in a more grey area of Morality.

It's talking about Ultra High Definition, the lastest TV technology that can have up too 4320p Resolution. Which is about 4 times better than the current standard for High Def TV's ( which are 1080p HD ). The only thing is these TV's cost Ten's of Thousands of dollars. And a price cut that would be affordable for the majority of the consumer base, probably won't end up happening until the end of the decade. Console Games would look as good as anything PC gaming has, if they harnessed what an Ultra HD TV could do. Here's the Wiki page for Ultra HD TV's ~ http://www.google.co...Js0aS1qU6IFZydg Edit. The article's are talking about 4K TV's, but there is also an 8K version as well. Which has 16 times the pixels that normal HD TV's have today. This ends up bringing it closer to the detail level of 15/70mm Imax, which is a super clear and detailed picture.

That also puts strength to the rumour they are trying to kill the second hand game market. No they won't. At least not for a while. Read this article where Sony states the PS4 won't block Second Hand games. ~ http://www.ign.com/a...lock-used-games And also at the end of this article Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony's Worldwide Studios reaffirmed that Sony would not block Second Hand games ~ http://www.ign.com/a...r-digital-games The buy-a-game-once and own it forever proposition is a great idea to me. It's basically a Win/Win for any hardcore gamer. The only negative is you won't be able to sell your PS3 second hand games 5 to 7 years from now. But PS4 games won't matter because you will have a permanent version of them, that can be used for the PS4 as well as future versions of Playstation Systems . And if you usually buy cheap second hand games and want a different source, there are plenty of Online options better than your 'Full Priced Game' retail store options. I think the positive outweighs the negative in this situation, because you will never have to repurchase a game for a Playstation System again, which will save you money in the long term. ............................................... ( Unless they pull this stunt again for the Playstation 5 ).
  14. http://en.m.wikipedi.../Installed_base Learn about the term "install base". Then feel free to revise your opinion. Absolutely Right. The current gen Xbox/Playstation install base of a combined 145 Million Units will make sure that GTA V will definitely be on the PS3 and Xbox 360. As well as maybe a Higher Res, and more Advanced version for the PS4 and Xbox 720 further down the track.

Looks like no backwards compatability after all. The only way you can play Legacy Content ( PS1/ PS2/ PS3 Games ) is by emulation ( Purchased for the PS4 ) or Cloud Services ( from Gaikai ). Here's the Article ~ http://www.ign.com/a...r-digital-games That's O.K. It just looks like I'll be keeping my PS3 for a few more years. As well as having the PS4 for all the new content that will be coming out.

Class A retard. Well, i mean.. I was considering it, especially with watchdogs... But ps4 was underwelming? I mean, it has some cool features, but i kinda feel like they could have done the same things with the ps3 with a new controller and firmware upgrade. A Firmware Update and a new Controller, and the PS3 is a Next Gen Console? What drugs are you on? I want whatever you're smoking, because that's the most crazy shit I've heard for a while. Sony already confirmed that the PS4 will have backwards compatability. Whether this is both Digital Download and Blu-Ray Disk, or just Digital Download remains to be seen. Sony, at the conference yesterday talked about purchasing a game once and owning it forever. Meaning all future versions of Sony's consoles ( including the PS4 ) will allow you to play that particular game. And I think they said that this will be incorporated into their Online Network in some way. All in all I'm very impressed with the PS4's specs. Which show alot of power, but at the same time ( because it's design is more like a PC's ) it's much easier to program for than the PS3 was ( making it very 'Developer Friendly', unlike it's predecessor ). And it's Cloud Streaming which allows instantaneous downloads and access to any game in their database ( without the need for a download ). And background loading, so that navigation of the system's menus is fast and smooth, and exiting games and applications is instantaneous ( instead of taking seconds or sometimes even minutes ). I can't wait too see what else Sony has up their sleeve for the PS4. And I think Microsoft should definitely be worried, because at this point I don't see how they can match Sony's new system. Let alone surpass it's capabilities.

The steering wheel isn't a gimmick, because real cars use the same setup . Also the gay little controller for the Wii handles nothing like a real gun or sword. And these movement controllers take away from proper control a normal controller or mouse/keyboard setup would give you. Also I haven't seen a game where it's been implemented into a game well, so instead of inhancing the experience it ususally detracts from it. I guess I should've capitalized "Move Controler", and since when is KILLZONE 3 a Nintendo game? You're hatred towards Nintendo is messing with your brain, man. This has nothing to do with the Wii or Wii U. You mentioned a move controller, so I immediately thought of the Nintendo controller that started off alot of this movement controller crap that the casual market is into. And that was what the Playstation Move was really based on, trying to replicate the movement controller success of the Wii. Which some how won the console war with it's sub-par graphics and gameplay. Sony Dev's along with Game Dev's probably thought it was a stupid gimmick as well, and that's why there wasn't much support in the form of games for the Playstation Move. I'm willing to bet that they thought it was constraining and limiting their creativity when it came to making games, by having to incorporate these gimmicky movements into otherwise normative gameplay. The result of implementing this unnatural form of gameplay ( ie movement control ), which has much less precision than what a normal controller would provide ends up jarring gameplay, and ultimately takes you out of the experience. Even the Casual Market who at first bought the Wii on-mass, stopped supporting it in the second half of it's life cycle. After they found out just how uninspired the marrying of movement and gaming had turned out.
