  1. Would be surprised. I'm sure it takes more than a year to learn a new console and create a working game for it. If the dev kits are only just going out, that's what we'd be looking at.
  2. I went to a CofE primary school and had those Come and Praise books. Hymn 98 was great, was the closest we got to rock in assemblies.
  3. They have to hire spastics once in a while to prove they aren't prejudiced. They usually get them to wash dishes in the staff canteen though. Incidentally, near the end of the story in GTA V you suffer a stroke, and getting to work and washing the dishes forms the final mission.
  4. If you never get that, you're playing it wrong.
  5. We had a substitute Chemistry teacher for half a year in year 9. He was a bit eccentric, and one day walked in and said "right then, I've got some spare sodium sitting downstairs. Let's see what happens when we drop it in water". We'd already seen this party trick so we didn't think much of it at the time, we just thought it would be an easy lesson. He took us outside where we had a grassy area on the other side of a large glass panel. He got a bucket of water, and grabbed a jar of something from the window. Inside it was a fist-sized lump of sodium. He threw it in the bucket from 6ft away and ran for cover. The explosion was huge, the bucket was shredded and smoke was billowing from it for a couple of minutes. Looking up, you could see people on the maths block on the third storey looking out the window thinking wtf is going on. Like a total ledge, the teacher then said "well, that was pretty conclusive, but this is science and we need to do repeats to confirm what we've observed didn't happen by chance." So sure enough, he grabbed another bucket, filled it with water, and another lump of sodium, and made a similar basketball-style dunk to get it into the bucket and ran for the hills. After that firework went off, he said "for the purposes of today's experiment, I think that will do for now. I suggest we make our way back up to the lab, I don't remember telling the headmaster we'll be doing this and he's probably wondering what's going on in his school". Best substitute teacher ever.
  6. Far Cry 2 was crap. You couldn't do anything without being constantly ambushed, it just took forever to get anywhere. Enemies had super x-ray vision, stealth wasn't a tactic as you would have expected in a dense jungle environment. And the whole malaria thing was a pointless game mechanic too, the fact you would die without warning because you didn't press LB every so often to take your malaria pills. So no, I'm not particularly interested in FC3.
  7. In year 12 I was put on a ban from home study with a load of others - which basically meant you weren't allowed to go home during free periods when the other sixth formers could - for hanging posters around the school. One day when we all had the final period (after lunch) free, we all went into a classroom a mile away from anyone else and hung out. It got boring and a couple of people started pissing around on the teacher's wheelie chair. 15 minutes later we had all the tables lined up across the room and did drag races on the chairs across the tables, the winner being the one who hit the floor at the end first. The next day, I was told I was taken off my ban from home study for good behaviour.
  8. Hopefully they'll have some kind of clutch system with the handbrake button so you can rev the car up, release the handbrake and do a proper launch start/burnout. In IV you could rev it but you wouldn't go any faster, the revs would die as you pull away so it was a pointless exercise. I'm pretty sure thats incorrect. If driving a rear wheel drive vehichle, I think it did make a difference. It causes the car to go through the first gear faster. It would always hit the rev-limiter. I want to see wheelspin and everything, anyway.

  10. Wish I could buy this cunt. I won't have time to play it properly until March though . I wonder how long it'll take for a GOTY edition to come out.
  11. I hope Sweet still has the Hydra on his roof since I unlocked it in GTA SA.
  12. Yeah. If he was scrawny and wore reading glasses and killed people using knowledge and wisdom, I don't think it'll be very fun.
  13. I'm glad I got my 2TB and 1TB a few months back. The prices are mental at the moment. I wanted a 2TB external for xmas but seems a bit rich asking for it when they were half the price a month ago. One I was looking at on Amazon was listed for £70, now it's at £160 and rising.
  14. Nice. Are you getting hit by the rising hard drive prices since the floods or not? Seems like a lot of drives have nearly doubled in price lately.
  15. HEY! WATCH YOUR STEP. The Clio is the boy of all cars. I accept your apology. I feel stupid for thinking Renault made the Clio all these years.
  16. We've just released a forum skin based on the iGTA5.com website design. To access it, scroll to the bottom of the page, click Change Theme and select iGTA5.com from the drop down menu. If you find anything that looks out of place please report it here. Enjoy!
  17. I don't know why you think this will happen. PC and both decent consoles have hard drives large enough to cope with multiple cities, but they won't do it because it takes more time and money to make and they'll still only charge $60 for it. They also aren't going to chuck all the eggs in one basket and leave themselves with nothing to do for the next game.
  18. As I said before, any likenesses to old characters will just be homages. They won't be the same person.
  19. iirc IV was going to be open from the start until quite near the end of development. If they restrict the map I hope they don't come up with faggy reasons for it.
  20. Pets would be funny. You could sit on your porch, if a cat comes along to shit in your flowerbed you could fire an RPG up its rectum. PETA shouldn't have a problem with that because irl, it's illegal to fire an RPG in public like that, and if you did it you'd be sent to prison.
  21. Invision host the chat service. More often than not, if it's down, it's a problem their end.
  22. I quite like the weight/muscle thing. I'd rather they kept it simple but if they don't, I hope there's a cheat for max muscle... arsed going to the gym all the time. EDIT: ^actually, yeah, you're right. I don't want to have to stop for something to eat all the time. Need more clothing too. Hair and tats are cool but not a necessity.
