  1. Yeeaah... let's keep this to site issues now, thanks
  2. As it turns out, I did find it epic enough. I can see myself spending my life in Horde 2.0. The Gamescom videos look great.
  3. Bump. Only one month to go! Can't bloody wait. It'll be the only game I've bought this year. I've pre-ordered the Epic Edition which comes with this bad boy (amongst a tonne of other things, but this is the highlight). The blue bits are phosphorescent:
  4. Looks tidy for a 10 year old car. I've got a 1999 1.2(!!) Corsa that's served me well while I'm at uni (pics if I remember to take some). I love it but I'm a bit bored of it, should be getting something pretty tasty next year.
  5. I deleted that theme so it shouldn't happen again. Thanks for being the test subject
  6. Used to play it loads on a creative server. Now, not so much.
  7. They have to justify calling it an upgrade somehow. It's got some nice new features and the new admin panel looks lush... but then that's not what you guys can see, so they had to change the theme as well.
  8. Is the new default font slightly bigger or is that just me?
  9. They could use any ethnicity and make an epic story out of it. To a certain degree I think it's almost irrelevant. I mean, we knew literally nothing about Claude in GTA III and the game was still brilliant.
  10. I kind of agree with you there, it's like their devs use the downloads section as the recycle bin or something. "Mr Houser, I fucked up!" [Dan Houser] "Just put it in the recycle bin, they'll lap it up." On another note; if anyone in the You Knighted Kingdom can download the original GTA's via Rockstar's free download's section then please tell me how. You mean from http://www.rockstargames.com/classics/ ? Just put in an email address and they email you the link.
  11. As long as they only have it running in software we're no closer to getting it into games than we were when they last demoed it. I thought they previewed it well before 2010...
  12. Good to see they still can't design anything decent. I've never found anything I like in their Rockstar collections.
  13. Chill the fuck out. Put all your ideas into one LEGIBLE post and leave it at that, okay? You're just making yourself look like a complete retard.
  14. You've uploaded more than 20MB of stuff across all your posts. I've set the limit for gold members to nearer 50MB now. If you hit the limit again you'll need to delete old attachments here: http://www.igta5.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=core&area=attachments
  15. Well you know that's all fine and dandy, but there are only so many scripted events you can squeeze onto a disc/develop in reasonable time when you could instead add more things to the general gameplay. I would rather have the .wav sounds for a grenade launcher than "get 2 dogs to watch your house while you gone and when you just coming home from a mission you can see your dogs attacking someone that was trying to break in your house" because that's something I'd do in the tutorial mission and never again. For every gameplay feature they have to include a tutorial mission. I found RDR enough of a drag and GTA IV wasn't that much better tbh. If they put every single one of your ideas in, there would be no time to work on anything else, no space to put anything else in, and no one would be interested in playing long enough to get into the proper story missions. Some of your ideas might make someone think, "yeah, maybe that would be cool" but there are a lot of better things they could do instead. For instance, they're obviously going to be working hard on the social element of the game in GTA V and try to include the Social Club more. If they're going to do that, I'd rather they do it properly that spend time adding "you can see riots in the city and you can see people running out the stores with tv's and bikes and motorcycles" because that would be completely meaningless unless it was in the context of the story, and in that case it would only work once before it got boring. Remember in GTA SA, when you returned to Los Santos, there was the mass looting and you could see smoke pouring from rooftops? It only needed to happen once and they didn't need to do much to achieve the effect, meaning more time to work on cool shit like the Transfender garages that you could use at any time for a bit of break. If they spent more time on it and made it a more substantial part of the game, it would have taken development away from another area and you would lose a bit of the fun for something pointless. A lot of people found the 'friends' thing in GTA IV irritating, being phoned up every 5 minutes to go bowling. For me, a regular "there is a riot" message with episodes of not being able to go anywhere without being shot would be even more annoying than that.
  16. I miss a lot of the old gang cars. Whatever they do I hope they use some high quality engine/exhaust notes for GTA V. I want muscle cars with the large capacity V8 rumble and supercars with the V12 shriek. Cars like the Diablo Stallion with proper sound would be brilliant.
  17. Yay psychø. Old sig/av too How you doin?
  18. Game Of The Year Oblivion and Fallout 3 both allowed you to install the expansion packs on to the 360 hdd, and you didn't have to put the discs in again. Everyone else is just lazy, it would seem. That was different. They were DLC packs already available on the Marketplace, just pre-loaded onto discs.
  19. It's crazy to think we can routinely get 32GB onto SDHC cards, which are small enough to fit inside cameras. SDXC cardscan/will support up to 2TB as well but we're 'only' up to 128GB atm ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Digital_card#SDXC ). I think a return to cartridges may be inevitable eventually, in some form or another.
  20. I think MS is backing downloadable games rather than Blu-ray or another optical format for this gen. Optical discs don't offer the read speeds you need to stream or copy hi-res textures and other data to the cache. By the time the next Xbox comes out they could use some kind of proprietary USB flash drive to run or install games from, or something. The new Thunderbolt port offers something like 10Gbps transfer speeds and USB 3.0 isn't too shabby either, and 64GB USB drives are already getting cheap, so the technology is there.
  21. ?? No they haven't. They backed HD-DVD for movies but didn't use it for games. It's a pity they didn't because there would have been no reason to give up on it even after BD won the format war.
  22. Microsoft is going to need to get their finger out and allow content discs to be installed to the hard drive. The motion capture data just takes up too much space (and will leave a 10 disc version for the 360 if they include the full-body motion that's being rumoured). They're releasing a new format in the next dashboard update so they can squeeze another GB or so but that's going to be no where near enough. Also I thought the PS3 supported dual layer BDs? So just have one dual layer BD for 50GB rather than 2 25s...
  23. They're getting better - better than the U.S. governments one anyway. The one you posted? That isn't the US governments. The one I posted matches CNNs description better http://whitehouse.blogs.cnn.com/2011/05/03/even-more-on-the-photos/?hpt=T1 Not necessarily saying it's real ofc.
