  1. That is quite true. However, i doubt that rockstar would have made the GPS that big this time, or even had it at all since it was pretty much pointless aside from it adding "realism". To be fair, that trailer came out in December 07 and they released the basic map shape in February 08, so we didn't get very much advanced notice. So I doubt we'll see anything any earlier then that.
  2. Maybe it'll be the games subtitle. Grand Theft Auto V: HD San Andreas Edition
  3. Well you didn't expect it to look the same did you? SA had a 1992 version of the Cheetah and IV will have a 2012 version of the Cheetah. Even real cars change a lot in 20 years you know.
  4. Highly doubtful. First of all they've never done that before....release screens from a future trailer. Would make the trailer very disappointing if it only showed us what we've already seen wouldn't it? Besides the only thing Rockstar has said is they'll be releasing more screens later this week...nothing at all about a trailer.
  5. A chemtrail is the fictional trails from airplanes that conspiracy theorists believe in. What you saw was a contrail, a trail of condensation caused by heated air from the plane's engines hitting the cooler surrounding air. But that's beside the point...chemtrails are one of the more boring conspiracy theories around....outside of maybe a mission of spraying something from a crop duster I don't see any interesting ways to bring it up in-game. Also, we won't be seeing the Truth again. As has been said before only companies and radio personalities will be carrying over from the GTA III era of games to the current era...no actual characters will be making the cut.
  6. Well, I wouldn't be surprised if Mafia III was a next gen title. After all Mafia was PS2 level and Mafia II was PS3 level so why shouldn't Mafia III be PS4 level?
  7. I figure this is a spam topic, but I'll be serious anyway. In short, we don't have the foggiest clue how many GBs the PC version will be, but 40 is way too big a number. After all IV was only about 14 GB or so as I understand it. Also, lay off the caps lock, k?
  8. I doubt it, it seemed more of a one-off thing. A parody of not only Scientology in and of itself but also of groups like the Branch Davidians and the Heaven's Gate Cult of the early 90s. After all if it had been only about Scientology then I think there would have been some reference to it in IV, seeing how they're active in NYC as well as LA. -EDIT- Never mind, I stand corrected.
  9. As I said, if you want to experience that, go play Maia II. It's a good game, but it's got a sucky section in the middle where you're stuck in prison. It's no fun to play whatsoever.
  10. At the very least I see them keeping the taxi system in place from IV, but I also can see them having the LA Metro Rail in V. When it comes to riding buses I can take it or leave it, but I would like to see them driving routes on the streets either way just for the realism. I never did like the fact you would only see buses driving in certain missions in IV.
  11. No. No, no, no, no, nonononononono. And furthermore: NO! It's pointless, stupid, and adds nothing. What would prison do? Break the flow of the story if you're into that, and break the flow of gameplay six ways from Sunday. They tried it in Mafia II and I didn't like it then, and I wouldn't like it now if Rockstar shoehorned it into GTA V.
  12. The thing about mods is that if you don't want real cars in the game, that's fine...but if you do then you can install a mod to add them. If other people do that it doesn't hurt you at all. After all the trailer confirmed that they're keeping the fake car brands from IV in V.
  13. It was a dumb idea in San Andreas, and its a dumb idea now.
  14. You play as Officer Cole Phelps of the Los Angeles Police Department and as you play the game you move through the different police rankings and move to different assignments in LAPD. Sure you act as a detective in a detective game in L.A. Noire, because you are a detective, but at the same time a cop. So therefore it's both a cop and detective game. And of course my point still stands, the very idea of GTA games doesn't mesh with playing as anything other type of cop than a corrupt cop and that defeats the purpose of your idea altogether.
  15. Rockstar already made a cop game....it's called L.A. Noire. Besides, it's be kind of silly to play as a cop in a game called Grand Theft Auto. I mean if you're playing as a good or misunderstood cop (à la Cole Phelps) then the game style that makes GTA games so great doesn't work, and if you're playing as a corrupt or bad cop then the fact hes a cop is pointless. Besides there's nothing in the trailer that would lead anyone to believe that you might play as a cop. Just sayin'.
  16. He was "done" with IV since he did the finale artwork. He's still doing art for Rockstar titles. Ah, is that what it was? I stand corrected.
  17. I thought Patrick Brown said he wasn't going to do any more GTA works. Glad he changed his mind though, his stuff is always awesome!
  18. I'm not sure if Rockstar would go with it again....after all there were several features that were in SA that were removed in IV. In SA they really did seem to have a 'everything, including the kitchen sink' mentality when it came to including features. Well, if they were to re-include this one that'll be fine...but if they didn't I wouldn't be heartbroken or anything either.

  20. I was thinking the same thing. If it gets cheap enough it might put Elvis and Beatles impersonators out of business!
  21. His walking seems off, like he's sliding on the floor. It also looks way more realistic before the other guy came on stage...a real person in the shot ruin the effect.
  22. Replay: Yes...but for the number of missions in a main game it'd have to be implemented differently...not through an in-game cell phone but in the main menu. Ratings: No. Don't judge me game! I'll smash up my car as much as I damn well please!
