  1. +1 for the mere mention of VH. I have such a hard-on for David Lee Roth... Huh? What? Oh, sorry, got lost in the moment there... I'mma go ahead and say the Ataris cover of "The Boys of Summer" runs circles around Don Henley's version.
  2. Fair enough, but realistically cops should then be able to break your window, unlock the door for you, and drag yo ass out the car.
  3. That's not... I can't... No... There are so many things wrong with that statement. Just... No.
  4. I'm a die hard Bengals fan. It's been a tough life, but the last couple of seasons have been encouraging. If we can find a decent #2 receiver and someone to fill the giant black hole at strong safety, we might finally go further than getting bounced out of the Wild Card round. @bOnEs, looking forward to week 1 vs your Bears. Care to predict?

Building from the ground up is a great way to learn, but only if you give a shit about learning how to build a website, which you may or may not. You might take a look at WordPress. It's feature-rich and always under active development. Pair with a no-frills hosting plan from somewhere like Hostek, and you're off to the races.
  6. I'm late to the party on this one, but check out Pazera. It will convert damn near any video format to damn near any other. Also good for extracting/converting audio. Search for it on download.com or just google it.
  7. The guns and crank in this area go through Trevor Phillips Enterprises, or they ain't goin'.
  8. The lithograph is not a Gamestop exclusive; that wasn't clear to me from the earlier announcement. Follow the BradyGames link from the newswire article to find a pre-order outlet in your region.
  9. Is that a thing? I can't keep up with you crazy kids and your internet lingo and your rock and roll music and your Pac-Man video games.
  10. I put together a Google Maps overlay to show the estimated scale of Los Santos/San Andreas to real-world LA. The link will take you to a view of the map on my website that you can zoom, pan, etc. If you take a look at satellite view, you can eyeball objects on the ground and see that the scale matches up pretty well. This would probably be most interesting to someone that has a basic familiarity with LA (I do not). For the rest of us, it still demonstrates the scale of what we've seen so far. The bounding rectangle in the image is about 6.21 square miles. And of course, this is only part of the map - someone smarter than me can speculate on exactly what percentage it represents. Long-winded and very boring explanation of my methodology:
  11. Thanks for clarifying. Where would we be without you. Moving on from the potty talk... Something occurred to me over the past couple of weeks playing GTA IV and San Andreas - I find myself manipulating the camera with the right analog stick a lot. It's gotten to a point where I don't even realize I'm doing it, but once I started paying attention it seemed absurd. A good example is coming up over the top of a hill while driving in IV. The "chase" camera has a bad tendency to stay low, so I'm stuck staring at my back bumper and can't see the oncoming cop car I'm about to smash into. In V, I'd like to see either A.) a more intelligent chase camera that can anticipate and automatically adjust to a more useful angle, or at least B.) the ability to customize the chase camera and lock it in at a higher angle so I don't have to constantly fiddle with the right stick. The most we've ever gotten is the ability to adjust the distance from the vehicle, but that doesn't quite cut it. Anyone with me on this?
  12. Not sure I see the problem here. A "re-imagined southern California" wouldn't require much re-imagining if it only included virtual representations of things that are found in real-world southern California... In any case, good finds on the bridge and motel, Fitty.
  13. He's right, Black; no need to be passive-aggressive. This forum, like all internet forums, suffers from long-winded tangents about out-of-scope topics. The fact is, we all have access to Google if we need to cure our "ignorance" about gators vs crocs.
  14. Go ahead, man, you don't have to hold it. We'll all wait here.
  15. Evidently the timing of summer is horribly inconsistent among nations. My US-centric mind can barely comprehend such a thing...
  16. Famitsu scans are up: http://www.gtaforums...st&p=1062786639 Edit: From my tablet, it looked like that article was going to have more previously-unseen screenshots. Looking at it now I realize I basically just posted a link to some other forum with scans of what is most likely a Japanese regurgitation of shit we already know.
  17. -TwitterSo we can expect to hear something between now and the last day of summer, which is 4 days after the release date.
