Life bar, 100 HP or RDR Style of Health?
GunSmith replied to Fryman's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
iBeNiko, remember RDR having "Hardcore" Free Roam? With only a couple of hits before you kill a player? I wouldn't mind seeing that option again. Anyway, I'd be happy with either option. In the Options menu, I'd like to see a selection where you could choose the display mode of health. -A bar around the radar like in IV... -RDR style, complete with screen fade, or... -Numbers, for old times' sake! -
It's Official!! Spring 2013...

People, people... It feels like just yesterday that we were marveling over the first trailer, doesn't it? When you pop that disc in this spring when the snow is gone and the warmth returns, and as the sweat collects in your palms, as your spine tingles and as you try to wipe that stupid grin off your face, you're gonna be thinking that it was just yesterday that you couldn't wait, that spring felt so far away. But it'll be here. A lot sooner than you think. -
I Know You...Doesn't ring a bell. I remember the side quest from Blue Alive Deterioration (Rockstar's less successful venture into the Western Genre.), called I Don't Know You. It went like this: My theory is that he's a guardian angel. Watching over John.

Hey, everyone. I have a question to ask you talented lot. I've seen dozens of examples of fake Grand Theft Auto-style box art. So, I'd like to know how to create some of my own. Which program to use, which tools in said program, etc. Any help anyone is able to give is appreciated. Thanks-a-plenty, and such.

Cleveland. Need I say more? Rockstar, please! Bring your talent to my hellhole!

I agree.

http://en.wikipedia....ach,_California I think Trevor's town is based on this. I recommend reading that article; it mentions something about primary transportation consisting of golf carts (because the nearest gas station is 20 miles away). That can only mean one thing: In one mission, Trevor is forced to chase someone (probably a debtor) through his town, into the desert (where the chase reaches a climax), on a golf cart. He then proceeds to shoot his target execution-style as the harsh Blaine County sun sets on the horizon. That same sun is one of two solitary witnesses, the other being... a burned-out, overturned golf cart.

They had that song in GTA IV. If you want that resurrected, rip the album to your PS3. Massacre, did you delete my post in this topic?

They're there, I think. I think it's just the angle that's corrupting the perceived distance between them.

Ah. If either of those are the case, I was expecting far too much in the draw distance department.

San Andreas was 9 years ago (wow). This is 2013, and Rockstar has developed a lot more experience in between. I'm sure they'll have thought up more significant uses for the mountain by now...I'm surprised by your lack of faith, Massacre. *puffs pipe*

The amphitheaters won't be empty. They'll probably end up being a way to spend money, or they'll factor into a mission somehow. Mount Chiliad isn't pointless. It'll definitely fit into a mission somehow. That I can guarantee...If not, it'll feature pastimes of some sort. Hiking, hunting, etc. Or, shoving your comrades off of it online. Or, racing them down the slopes in Banditos. Or, filling up the 747 with the other 31 players and crashing into it. Nothing in this game will be wasted, y'all of little faith. In Rockstar we trust.

I'm waiting for special and limited editions to be announced. Should one be announced, I'm gonna haul ass to the nearest Best Buy. -
Ah, that. Over on XBox, we never really had problems with that.

*bump* Regarding what people are referring to as a "wallhack", I've been playing this game since its release and have come across nothing of the sort. What are you referring to, specifically? That said, I love this game. It suits all playstyles; lone wolf, teamplayer; ground-pounder, ace fighter pilot; objective rusher, helicopter CAS unit up in the sky; sniper, spotter. The possibilities are endless, and no two experiences on a map are ever the same. It's got the mindless TDM shoot-em-up maps (for CoD fans, or for those who want to escape the hectic experiences of the rest of the game, or just want to kill time), and the massive, sprawling areas for those looking for a more in-depth, simulation style experience. Photorealistic graphics also enhance the adventure. Lighting effects are the best I've seen in any game. All in all, this is the best shooter I've played.

I'm going to ride on a Freeway or Wayfarer through the countryside, up Mt. Chiliad and back down, through the Alamo Sea area and desert, and back to Los Santos. I will then write a Kindle-exclusive book about my experiences and call it "This Land is Our Land: The Lessons I Learned Through Travels in San Andreas". The middle section will feature, among other images, a picture of me leaning against my Freeway/Wayfarer, reading a map at the edge of the Alamo Sea at twilight. Several months after its release, I will begin negotiation talks with several Vinewood film producers seeking movie rights. Once the popularity of the book and movie recede, I will write a book about the experience of writing a book about the experiences I experienced in San Andreas. By that point, of course, GTA VI will have been released, overshadowing to the point of negating the popular appeal of the second book. After that, I haven't decided.

You mean the Annihilator? Needs more guns. Exactly. See? Massacre's got the right idea. -
How realistic should GTA V be?
GunSmith replied to Caolan Mc Garry's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
Personally, I think moving violations should be enforced. I've been frustrated time and time again as each iteration of Grand Theft Auto failed to feature functional turn signals. In 2008's Grand Theft Auto IV, we clearly saw other motorists use their vehicles' turn signals, but players were not able to. I searched through the game manual's controller diagram, tried every button on my controller, searched the Internet for instructions, but no action I took seemed to activate turn signals. The tease of watching NPCs use their own turn signals and then futilely attempting to use mine was nearly too much to bear, and I gave up on the game shortly after I began it. Should GTA V not feature turn signals, I will lose complete faith in Rockstar Games and their ability to develop quality digital entertainment. Keeping on the subject of moving violations, I have driven past countless police cruisers with one or more lights on my vehicle not functioning at all, and no action was taken by them. They continued on their merry way, nary a care towards my reckless driving. I have also noticed the complete absence of speed limit notification signs on any Grand Theft Auto roadway. How is a Grand Theft Auto motorist to know whether or not he/she is committing an infraction of the law? Furthermore, I see no point in Grand Theft Auto games featuring stop signs or traffic lights. No matter the player's action(s) towards them, police and others' reactions are always the same: complete apathy! Like everyone else, I play Grand Theft Auto to simulate a detailed meta-existence, complete with functioning traffic laws; I do not play it to escape my own existence for an hour or so. Game after game, Rockstar Games continues to disappoint me with their lack of attention to detail regarding their digital roads, and I for one, am frustrated by it. -

An attack helicopter (or helicopters) of some sort. Not like the Buzzard, but a fully-fledged attack helicopter.
