Why start with a new present day protag? Desmond is an established character so why don't they just use him? Also the thing I missed from BH and Revelations was the glyphs scattered around the maps. Some of those were a challenge to complete, and they sort of filled in the gaps in history that you didn't get to see in the game. Plus they added that element of illuminati-style "uncovering the truth that they don't want you to see" to the game.

And don't forget the sound, walking around Liberty City there wasn't much in the way of background noise. There should be music blaring from houses, shouting, arguing, people having sex. A simple audio file can turn the city from one devoid of life to a living world that you become immersed in.

Well RDR did have a few MP character packs, but R* tried to release as many as possible free of charge. I think if Sony and/or Microsoft hadn't been so pissy they'd have released more free.
