  1. General skills: Combat - If you're proficient with firearms it would help greatly (if available), and maybe swords. I don't think your MMA skills would help much though (unless one-on-one). Survival - If you're Bear Grylls you can just run into the nearest forest and live forever amongst the trees and birds. *Science - I think a strong scientific background could be useful. If you can obtain a sample and analyse it, you might be able to make yourself resistant. Although this is very unlikely unless you have a team of scientists and a very good lab.
  2. Sony won't delay their release. Both will come out at the same time, otherwise they risk losing major sales!
  3. I only felt like doing the intel bit, maybe I will add more later. Intel: How does one become a zombie? The brain and/or nervous system must be affected. I don't believe reanimation to be possible. So, zombies will have to be alive. They cannot change species and so we must assume them to be humanoid with altered physiology. The cause would a prototype virus that was biochemically engineered to combat neurodegenerative disease. The virus was engineered to create certain genetic mutations. (This could be possible, since certain cancers can be caused by viruses.) Symptoms would include a state of rage, hunger and paranoia. All three arising from an alteration in hormones and neuronal development. Similar to a cancer, neurones would uncontrollably proliferate and migrate to form new connections in the brain. All of this would be virally encoded. The three-states (rage/hunger/paranoia) would over-ride normal emotion, zombies are unable to co-operate and would also attack one another, being unable to tell the difference between normal humans and zombies. Or rather, just not caring. Zombies are physically normal, but they are driven entirely by their instinct, which in turn is driven by the three mental states. The disease is highly contagious in its early stages and can be passed on through coughing or normal influenza. It rapidly progresses since it was developed to be highly specific and potent, the three-state symptoms will become apparent within two days. Once fully infected, the virus is much more difficult to contract from the subject and can only be done so through blood infection. The virus does not trigger a strong immune response, and so it is highly infectious since the infected can pass the virus fairly inconspicuously. Due to the nature of the genetic mutations caused by the virus, zombies prematurely die from a manifestation of deregulated neurogenesis. I would estimate about 2-3 months.
  4. You'll probably feel like playing it again in 6 or so months time. At least that's what happened to me with Oblivion.
  5. Apathetic agnosticism. I think that would describe many people on here.
  6. That scene reminded me of terminator!
  7. Evolution is a scientific fact. Therefore, any belief that conflicts the aforementioned fact is outright incorrect. This includes Christianity and Islam. Let's ask ourselves the question, why do we need religion? I believe that religion is a primitive form of science (in principle only). Man has worshipped both the Sun (Mayans) and the planets (Greeks), this theme has actually followed through to even modern religions. Continuously, man has used religion as an explanation for the unknown. We are too afraid of ignorance. Subsequently, religion has given us purpose and explained how life began. Answers to the seemingly difficult questions, why are we here and how did we get here? (Although the latter has now partly been explained through evolution.) Science is relatively young in comparison to religion, yet it has accurately answered many fundamental questions. But, I do not pity or sympathise with those that believe in religion. The thought of God can comfort us no matter how alone we truly feel, and science could never give one such comfort. So, why does it matter if someone believes in God if it makes them happy? (Let's not bother discussing extremists, like any anomaly, they are fundamentally irrelevant.)
  8. I pay for 8mb/s, but I can max it to 50
  9. The playstation controller is one thing that doesn't need improving.
  10. I'm a fan. Love his music so much.
  11. I fucking hate touch screen controllers. It's impossible to play video games on my iPad or iPhone because of the shitty touch controls. I want a physical analog stick goddamit! AND buttons.
  12. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Publisher: Ubisoft Engine: YETI Platforms: PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, DS, PSP Release dates: PS3, Xbox 360 and DS NA - May 22, 2012 EU - May 24, 2012 Wii NA - November 16, 2010 EU - November 19, 2010 AU - November 25, 2010 PSP EU - October 1, 2010 AU- October 7, 2010 NA- November 16, 2010 Plot The story will take place in a near future in Norway, the Middle East, and Asia where Russia went into war. The Ghosts will be fighting an ultra-nationalist force that took control of Russia and are invading neighboring countries on the deadliest missions behind enemy lines. The player will take control of a 4-man Ghost team consisting of a commando (Kozak), a sniper weapons expert (Pepper), a reconnaissance expert (30k), and an engineer (Bones). The Wii and PSP versions have different storylines. Gameplay As with other Ghost Recon games, it will be predominantly third-person shooter. Aiming and cover based shooting switches to a first-person view to enable increased accuracy. Cover can be partially destroyed, and active camouflage will enable ghosts to become just that, ghosts. However, the active camouflage is a prototype and so it can only be used limitedly, a ploy used by the developers to balance gameplay. Highly customisable weapons and Xbox Kinect compatibility. Images Trailers and videos E3 trailer Find out more at the official site. So what do you guys think of the game? I personally can't wait, i've always been a fan of the whole tactical shooter approach that Ghost Recon takes. Online will be a different thing though, I can't see many people working together, but I suppose it will allow clans to create some brilliant tactics. Here's some in-game multiplayer footage: Multiplayer
  13. Why on earth would anybody want ford transit vans in GTAV?
  14. Just to clarify what DO said: Level 50 is the soft-cap. Level 81 is the hard-cap. This means that after the soft-cap (50), levelling up becomes a lot more difficult (but not impossible). The hard-cap (81) can only be achieved if all skills are at 100.
  15. indy A person who performs an act that makes them seem "whipped" to their significant other Wow, you picked her up from the airport at 4am? Nice one, Indy! Fuck.
  16. I don't believe quest items actually add any weight to your inventory.
  17. In terms of stats, armor rating is capped to 567 (which is 80% damage reduction). This is regardless of what armour you're wearing, and I know that light armour can reach that rating. So wearing heavy armour is just for the perks and appearance really.
  18. Yeah i'm okay with my levelling. I'm level 51 with maybe 120 hours. But, i'm really crap at trying to do quests, I spend far too long just doing my own thing. But I enjoy it, so whatever. I'm quite the completionist as well, so I want to get to like level 83 or whatever the limit is, and complete EVERY quest possible. I don't know if the latter is possible though, not with radiant quests but all the general quests.
  19. I'm quite curious about this too. In fact i'm quite excited to see what they'll do, perhaps they will use bridges. But what reasons will they use? Terrorism, weather, earthquake?
  20. Hairy legs, my worst enemy... still doesn't stop me though
  21. I can't seem to grow a damn beard, my moustache doesn't even reach my chin It's a lot like David Beckham's... but i'm not as beautiful
  22. I know the feeling, it genuinely gets overwhelming. But that's what makes it so awesome!
  23. Perhaps then we should make it so that new topics are auto-subscribed, so we get emailed whenever someone replies to our topic. Though, it would also be possible to turn this feature off. I just find it annoying when people create a topic, then I take the time out reply, and then they disappear! Also, what about the mobile site thing? I'm not too sure how useful it would be, but I know a lot of websites have the feature. Just an idea.
