  1. Oh, you're just mad the Angellicas spent all that money and didn't make the playoffs.
  2. I think it was delayed simply because it's just not ready. Rockstar is venturing into some uncharted territory with this game. All of these things they've promised -- I mean, damn -- people still don't believe how is it possible to have a world that's bigger than San Andreas, Read Dead Redemption, and Liberty City combined. All with a completely detailed ocean floor. Interwoven storylines among 3 playable characters with their own individual lives. Demographical details of each area of in Los Santos, from race, to type of vehicles, to personalities. Plus more. This game is packing a serious punch.... I completely understand that they need to take their time to deliver this product. I don't even see how people can be upset about the timing. The game is coming right after the Summer -- technically, in the Summer. The Summer is the best season of the year; the beaches, the parties, the events, the cook-outs, family reunions and/or vacations... next thing you know, you look up and it's already September.
  3. Grizz were oh so pressed to get rid of that luxury tax. I figured they were good after they dealt Speights and Ellington -- guess not. I wouldn't have made both deals. Now they have no depth AND don't have a player that can create his own shots on the perimeter. I would've at least gotten Toronto to include that kid Ross in the deal. Now Toronto has 3 young, improving high-flyers on that squad. The Grizz' future looks bright, though. Now that Ed Davis is there, Zebo better not get too comfortable.
  4. It's kind of a No-Win situation when you try to work on a game, then you have a bunch of fans clamoring on your newswire, youtube page, and sending coutnless e-mails to your game support addresses, screaming for information and trailers. So, you decide to give them an estimated release date on when you're confident the game will be done -- then things go a bit wrong or not go through the way you plan it, and now you have those same people even more angry that you said there will be a Spring release but you had to push it back a few months. I just have even more respect for Rockstar with the way they handle this. I would've handled it way different. I would've updated the newswire with:
  5. They probably don't care. It's in the same Fiscal Year, regardless.
  6. Well, I had a good feeling we would get a release date today.... but I had no clue they would push the game back all the way to September. I'm not even upset about it. There are a some really good games coming out this Spring that I'm interested in playing that would've gotten passed up by me for GTA V.
  7. That's what they did with GTA IV. I thought about that, and that's another one of the things that could possibly come with the reveal, but I'm not sure if Rockstar has enough time left to be dicking around in February and still meet a Spring deadline if they want to get some good marketing in. But, hey, they're borderline unpredicatable anyway. Just ask Michael Pachter.
  8. I don't think it's just the cover people are getting amped about. It's what might come with the cover reveal...... Release Date.
  9. I don't think Houser meant the change in mechanics is going to be as drastic as people are making it out to be. It's certainly not going to be like Saints Row's; I felt like you couldn't even tap the control stick without making a 90° turn. I believe he said that there aren't really good quality racing games out there, and he believes GTA V's driving mechanics will be so good, it will rival those games. Not be like them. Plus, by him saying that he felt the cars were "boat-like" in GTA IV, that just leads me to believe Rockstar mostly toned down the sliding a little bit. Judging by trailer #2, I still see all of the cars displaying some good weight to them on hard turns but the sliding is less. Like here: I feel like in GTA IV, this car would've spun out or slid for an extra 3 seconds (if you can handle it good) instead of sliding to a smooth stop the way it did here.
  10. Damn! When Rockstar says they'll have something "later on in the week" or "by the end of the month," they sure do take it to the last possible fraction of a second in the very last day, don't they?
  11. It would be nice to mug somebody for once. Kidnap people and throw them in the trunk -- apply some of that RDR goodness into modern times.
  12. I know the San Andreas car was an Infernus, but I was talking about the model it was based from, the Acura NSX. It's also one of the reasons why I said I doubt it'll be in GTA V, because now they commited to the Lamborghini design for the Infernus. I just would still like to see an NSX back in the game, and the projected one looks sexy as hell.
  13. Oh, wow. Y'all talk sports? This is dope. Anyway, I have an inner love for the Niners in my blood but they aren't my squad, so I'm picking Sugar to go out with a bang and a ring. Flacco will get the MVP. The Ravens are on something magical right now, it's almost like Tebow, but with an actual GOOD player.
  14. I'm sure everyone remembers this in San Andreas: So I'd love this in GTA V: It's defnitely not going to happen, though. But damn this looks good.
  15. Yeah, I don't see Trevor and I don't think the other guy is Jimmy either. Didn't IGN report how, when they saw the demo, they saw a 4th selection in the character select option, but it was blurred out or something like that? I'm guessing every now and then there will be some goons who are friends with Mike, Trev, and Frank that will assist in some of the missions. That's probably what those other 2 guys are.
  16. Although I agree most of the music that gets put out today is pretty bad (I blame the internet), I think it's pretty safe to say Rockstar will come through with some pretty good stuff. I don't know who on their staff selects music, but whoever they are, they have good taste. Plus, it's also fair to say Rockstar will have almost as many throwback stations as mainstream. I feel good about the potential current Hip Hop station -- Al has always been a dope producer; I heard last month that Snoop did something; Game already let it be known he worked on it; more recently, my homie in the Bay (although he lies sometimes) told me E-40 liscened a track off. GTA always stays local with its Hip Hop stations, so I expect some Kendrick Lamar, Odd Future, Pac Div, Ab-Soul, Nipsey Hussle, Dom Kennedy. There's some good music in all of those cats. And, there will be a dubstep station -- or at least dubstep being played on an electronic music station. It's fucked up for some, but that's what's hot right now. So it is what it is. I only "wish" for one track to make it, though, just because it feels that good. I play this every night on the drive home: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmZ03Q7AoaU
  17. The one of the right has been around for a couple of months or so, but that left is fresh. Looks like Frankie is going to be whippin' that dirtbike around pretty often, judging by the trailers and artwork. I like it. It also looks like our 3 protags are going to split up (at least once) when it comes to evading the cops after completing a heist, too.
  18. Since this map of Los Santos is going to be vast in size, and Dan Houser has already said that there will not be any property purchases available, I think it's pretty safe to say that the game will have an auto-saving feature; I believe, even more efficacious than GTA IV's auto-save, because of the ability to switch characters and the random access missions that will be scattered around the world. How each of the protagonists have their own individual cash stash and weapon loadouts, I think Rockstar knows that they have to make an easier way to back that up. So, I see auto-saves happening even after you switch from one character to another as well.
  19. I think the driving of GTA IV was solid -- real solid. I'd be happy with that same mechanic. All they have to do, if anything, is tone down the sliding of these vehicles on sharp turns. At least with specific vehicles. I understand if I hit a sharp turn with a Muscle car, I may fishtail or spinout; but that shouldn't happen as easy when I'm mashing a Sports car. I agree with the need to fix the AI. Another thing, on top of what was said here, is sometimes I like to drive like a civilian; stop at the light, roll with the flow of traffic and etc. It would be nice for me to be at a redlight and the AI driver behind me doesn't ram the rear end of my vehicle.
