  1. They've said a dozen times that the phone will have an internet browsing function. And surely the layout will be similar to a modern smartphone? I mean, they all look pretty much the same anyway...
  2. i think that they even allowed it with the xbox ports, someone correct me if im wrong but i think it was in there. SA in particular. All of the GTA's on PC have custom radio stations, along with the Xbox ports. I remember listening to Bat Out of Hell II while playing Vice City back when it first came to Xbox. Also, Chinatown Wars had custom radio stations on iOS. Don't recall it happening with the Remastered GTA III though... Also, I have noticed that all of Rockstar's GTA music is licensed by Sony Music Entertainment. So, if your favourite Artist or Band isn't owned by them, I can guarantee that we won't be hearing them in GTA V. EDIT: Universal just bought EMI, so we can probably expect some Universal Artists as well... Here's a very brief list of some of Sony's artists... http://en.wikipedia....y_Music_artists
  3. Hey guys, The lastest game informer suggested that V would have more dynamic peds this time round. They said this in early GTA IV previews as well, but the peds didn't really wow me with their day to day actions. I've seen them smoke, catch trains, loiter, occasionally park cars and get out, sweep, water plants, rake, dig, carry groceries, make phone calls, litter, take photos, buy hot dogs, evade the police on foot, chat with other peds and a few other things. Impressive enough details, but at the same time, a little too subtle to stand out. Red Dead Redemption did impress me though. The pedestrians would spend the day working (cutting up meat, making horseshoes, selling items in stores), then wander off to play poker in the bar, or buy drinks, or even curl up in bed. If you followed a regular ped in a town, you could actually see them living out a mini-life. But the bar was raised again for me in L.A Noire. I spent some time sitting in a little restaurant. I noticed a man come in (a regular pedestrian) and take a seat at a booth. The waitress finished off topping up customers coffee, then came over to the man with a menu. The man pointed out a meal on the menu while the waitress took down the order on a notepad. She then crossed over to the kitchen, and gave the order to the chef, who began cooking it up immediately. The cook placed a plate down on the counter, which the waitress took over to the customer. The customer ate his meal, then got up and left. It took about 10 minutes IRL, but I'd never seen anything like it in a video game before. All throughout L.A Noire are plenty of dynamic pedestrian interactions that you would never notice if you just played the game through normally. So what would it take to impress you as far as dynamic pedestrians are concerned this time around? Should we be able to see a random peds life from leaving home in the morning to returning to the same home at night? A lot of people have poo-pooed the realism in later GTA games, so maybe you just want them to be found fixed in the same place every day and night like a lot of other free-roam franchises?
  4. Cows appeared in one of the Viewers, birds flying have been spotted in the trailers. Also, I take back what I said about the game being banned if lots of animals are in it. After running over multiple animals in speeding cars, along with being forced to set fire to dogs with a flamethrower, Farcry 3 so far has proved to me that it's now apparently fine to murder animals in video games.
  5. I have a feeling that the guy is just a therapist, and Michael is forced to go (for whatever reason). Therapists aren't cheap, so the guy is chewing through Michael's money like a fiend, without showing any real results. He buys a sports car that he doesn't finish paying off, and BAM around comes Franklin to pick it up. Michael is more than happy to point out the office to Franklin. Given that Santa Monica is a two and a half hour walk from Beverly Hills IRL, I think that senario is highly unlikely. It would be akin to Niko having a row with Roman in their Bohan Safehouse and then taking a stroll to Firefly Island. Also, multiple articles have mentioned Michael's therapist. If the guy in the trailer IS a mobster "threatening" Michael, he must be quite an educated professional with a busy schedule, seeing as though he has a schedule open on his iFruit computer, multiple textbooks and business binders on his bookshelf, along with several spirex notebooks on his desk. Makes Tony Montana look like a disorganized fool!
  6. Dan Houser [On Americans]: "There all very friendly, but don't understand sarcasm..." You know back in the day, people (in forums) predicted that each of SA's cities would be the size of Vice City. Of course people whined when they were smaller, and the fact that the interiors had loading screens. Some things never change...
  7. They are two rocks. Well done IGN. I bet it was that prick Greg Miller who said it. I just want to slap his nerdy face everytime he talks...
  8. I've put together a list of the interiors that I've spotted in trailers and screenshots so far.... Confirmed Jewelry Store (Mission at least) Michael's mansion Bank with vault (Mission at least) Country Bar? (Cutscene) IAA Building (Mission at least) Therapist/Beach House? (Cutscene or mission?) Country Home (mission at least) FIB Building? Clothing shops (mentioned in previews) Franklin's/Franklin's GF's Home? (Cutscene at least?) Unconfirmed Tequi-la-la? (Entrance seen in trailer 1) Wigwam Burger? (Seen in BG of trailer 2) Observatory interior? (Why not?)
  9. Has anyone considered that the Beach House that Michael points out two Franklin and friend is the therapist's office? The window and the balcony foliage look awfully similar, and Michael is wearing the same outfit while sitting outside. Maybe the therapist bought a car with all the money he's leeching from Michael, but couldn't pay it off in time?
  10. I don't understand why so many people are upset. I've heard NOTHING but good news so far... I'm so happy, I can't believe it! Also, I was deadly close with my mulitple protag prediction... I can't believe I was so close to what is actually happening.
  11. Look! Niko is holding up 5 fingers! Either he knew about V in advance, or he's holding up 3 fingers plus 2 more for GTA III 2???!!!!
  12. I think GTA is to Saints Row is similar to what "The Untouchables" is to "The Naked Gun 33 1/3". Also, I agree with bOnEs' idea.
  13. Read through the thread before you double-post links... That's why I edited the post a minute later, bro. I'm not an idiot. Also Dupz0r didn't ever actually explain the link, as I did in my edit.
  14. They might get worried if Saints Row one day sells more than 10,000 copies... In reality, Saints Row 3 was the most hyped Saints Row game, and it took them several months to sell as many units as GTA IV did in it's first few hours... (HA) And Saints Row 2 took a year to sell less copies than GTA IV sold in it's first day. The original Saints Row (which was considered a commercial success) has never beaten the sales that GTA IV reached in it's first day. Ever. WOW! Rockstar has some tough competition there!
  15. FINALLY! Vice City Anniversary Edition Announced! Coming later this Autumn (November)
  16. I'm not quite sure how you could implement co-op into single player missions in a game like GTA, unless it was local network co-op or online co-op with the "Host" playing as the protagonist and the partner playing as a random mook to help you out. But that seems unlikely. And to all those people who are under the impression that the only way you could only play single-player via co-op, why would they do that? Rockstar aren't retards, they understand that a game has to stand on it's singleplayer experience alone, and multiplayer is just a bonus. I personally wouldn't mind seeing freeroam co-op return from SA again (as many others seem to as well), but make it either local network or online friends joining so you could have two players in different parts of the city. And to the guy who assumed that everyone never plays with real friends, I only ever play multiplayer with my real friends. I hate playing online. I've got two Xbox's at home, so we can just hook them up to each other, bring a second TV into the living room and play to our heart's content. Failing that, doesn't anyone have friends who could bring their own console over to their house like I did at Uni? It's way more fun, in my opinion, to play against people you know...
  17. Well, I can't be right all the time, I guess. If nothing happens on the 29th, I will be a bit disappointed... I got VC when I was 12 (had to get an older-looking friend to buy it for me), and it was the second one I ever finished.
  18. True, but it is on the island of Hispaniola. Also, I love the idea of the gangs calling "5-0" and intimidating people who go by. It kinda happened in IV in Holland, but it was only ever mission contextual.
  19. I just saw on the Rockstar facebook page (the real one, not the fake one that keeps obsessively asking people if they like Rockstar Games and announcing fake release dates) that the GTA III trilogy is half-price on Mac until October 25th, and they've used Vice City as the display pic for it. I'm hoping that wasn't "it". That would suck.
  20. I'm a little deflated that only one person commented on topic, and I'm guilty of playing the same way he does too. And yes, I have been diagnosed with mild OCD (otherwise I wouldn't have said it. Imagine if someone lied on the internet!). But this isn't about me, I'm just curious as to how other people go about playing the games, or am I the only one who still starts a new game after finishing for the first time?
  21. Uuugghhh. I didn't say that Nomber 21 was the release date for the game, guys. Read my post carefully: I said I'm looking forward to the issue coming out so much so that it's ALMOST like the game itself is being released on that date (but it isn't clearly).
  22. How DO you guys play GTA games? Do you adopt a different style for each game? I know half the responses will just be "i jus drive fast and shoot peeps bro and maybe play misshons" or "i play the missions once then only play multiplayer uuugh the games are so boring once you finish dem once bro", but I'm not looking for that. I'm looking for crazy obbessive habits people pick up. As I have OCD, I play every game a certain way... In GTA3, LCS, Chinatown Wars, Vice City and GTA IV: most of the time I'll start the game, change clothes, explore/shop until about 10am (in game) then play a mission, eat (in game) play another mission, then when it gets dark I'll go home and save. If it's before 1am, I'll either watch TV (In GTAIV series) or stroll around the neighbourhood until it gets late enough. I'll only differ if something happens contextually in the game to change the characters "lifestyle". I will NOT attack any peds unless seriously provoked. In TLAD and San Andreas: I pay less attention to the time and save after two missions or so, doing whatever I please before, in between and after. I will attack (but not kill) peds if slightly provoked. I also hang out with gang members/friends more. In TBOGT I go about the day much the same as the first explaination, except I hang out in the clubs on Friday and Saturday night until 4am. I also do the "Club management" side missions most nights as a "job". So essentially I live out a mini "life" as the character in the game, as I find this most comforting/rewarding. Weirdly enough, my real life is way more interesting and varied...
  23. You guys are weird. I'm not really a huge fan of the customisation. Once I find a look that I think suits the character, I usually stick with it and change clothes every time I save. I like having the "outfits" option though, like in VCS and LCS ect.
