Haha it's a non-event. Just another day off work. Australia Day is January 26 and it's huge. Foundation Day is just for Western Australia, where Rob is and I used to be, noone gives a shit about it and less than half the population probably knows what the day is even for. The Queen's birthday is supposedly next weekend but I have no idea because different states celebrate it at different times here. The Brits (or Google) might know.

Not sure. All I know is that it's the 1600-1800's Brits trademark: sail the world, find land, anchor down, disembark, take out the locals, plant flag. It's basically the same story all over the Commonwealth.

Foundation Day is the day the Brits colonised Perth and WA. Basically a big arse fight with the local indigenous folk and the Brits saying "fuck you guys, this is our house now." The rest of Australia celebrates the Queens birthday next weekend.

Or another way of putting it: "Wake me up, when you're not loco."
