  1. http://www.computera...stems-and-more/ I guess I stand corrected. Not sure what else the 83 days thing could mean. I think the best theory I have heard is that it was just showing how many days before GTAO went live and all the gameplay footage was just captured on the 83 day mark.
  2. I think that could be an incorrect translation, but it would be a good surprise if its true. More variation is good. I think what they mean is that the core storyline will be seen in the individual storylines that each of the three characters will have. The heist are what tie them all together but they are only a part of the overall storyline. Probably the most interesting part out of all of this.
  3. I'm not Catholic either, nor do I profess to know much about the Old/ New Testaments or any Scriptures. But I'm pretty sure that they're the same thing. Here's a link to a Wiki about Saint Michael ~ http://www.google.co...syvdEgTxUM1QMvw Here's an Excerpt from the Link under the Catholicism Section ~ Catholics often refer to Michael as "Saint Michael", a title that does not indicate canonisation, any more than it does for Saint Peter and Saint Paul. He is generally referred to in Christian litanies as "Saint Michael", as in the Litany of the Saints. And the 'Litany of Saints' is a kind of Formal Prayer. Here's an Excerpt ~ It is a prayer to the Triune God, which also includes invocations for the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Angels and all the martyrs and saints upon whom Christianity was founded, and those recognised as saints through the subsequent history of the church ~ http://www.google.co...x428wl6dZvmtBSA So my post was right, and it was relevant to the 'Michael Tattoo' on Trevor's Arm. Same as the video I posted, which was a Litany too Saint Michael. And the cross in the Tattoo only helps reinforce any religious connotations as well... Scorsese, who directed the movie scene in the youtube vid is also a devout Catholic. So I think he knows what he's doing by using Saint Michael in this context. Because "Saint Michael" and the "Archangel Michael" are one and the same. Interesting, the whole saint thing has always confused me a little. Nice job with that research.
  4. All they asked was if vehicles could be used as weapons I believe.. and he replied by saying you can shoot a hole in the gas line etc.. I don't think CVG was clear enough when they asked that question.. So my point is that I think there could still be a possibly of having weapons on vehicles. Too soon to rule that out.. That's what I got from it. "Can vehicles be used as weapons" is sort of a stupid way to ask a question. I dont think adding guns to cars is off the table necessarily.
  5. In Catholicism Saint Michael is one of the Archangels ( the highest ranking angels in heaven/ if you believe that sort of thing ), he is also known as the Warrior Angel who defeated Saint Lucifer ( Satan ) and cast him out of Paradise. So it makes sense that Trevor has a tattoo of him, because he is definitely a warrior... 54 Seconds in... I am not Catholic, but I dont think Saint Micheal and the Archangel Micheal are the same. ...but anyways, I am sure there will be some sort of crazy plot twist about Micheal and Trevor's past but the more I think about it the more the brother angle doesn't make any sense. CVG's whole theory is based on character names and descriptions from the casting calls which really doesn't mean much because R* can change all of that around.
  6. I spelled plated wrong didn't I. Perhaps they just ran out of room so they combined it with an other section? I could see it fitting in with the Assault Rifle section.
  7. I seem to remember hearing something about that, but I cannot remember where. It seems logical to me. R* has made it clear that customization and spending money will be a big part of the game, what better way to spend money then gold plaiting on your gun?
  8. I was thinking that at the start of the game Micheal would have millions but then your wife and daughter blow it all by the time you get to the third or fourth mission.
  9. That would be cool if they let you select different HUD types in the options menu. they could have a classical setting that is just like GTA3 and VC.
  10. I would prefer more classic songs. I also wouldn't mind a few tracks that have already been featured in GTA.
  11. I don't see what is so wrong with it. I mean it is not spectacular but it wont ruin the game for me or anything.
  12. Actually the final version of the game had an impound. It just didn't always work correctly. the only thing that was taken out of the beta was an introductory mission for the impound.
  13. well in SA we only hear CJ's brother telling him that their mom had died and we only see him in the LS air port. R* later released a prolog of sorts that showed CJ in LC but it wasn't part of the actual game. regardless, I dont think we can rely to much on what they did for previous games. As discussed before there is always something in every GTA that they "never did before". Finally, I dont think that information coming from the same time period as when they said no buying property can automatically be discounted. They specifically changed their minds on that then told us. so unless R* tells us differently then the information from back then seems perfectly valid.
  14. I think flash bangs and smoke grenades are very plausible. Regardless of what they call them I would like to have a variety of assault rifles, not just the AK and the M-4. I hope that heat seeking missiles make a return.
  15. Not at all, I assume you are speaking about when I said it could be from his own gang? That is what I was thinking. We even see it in the trailer when Lamar says something to the effect of Franklin sounding like a snitch. I am not doubting Franklins loyalty but his crew might, especially if they learn that he is doing jobs for the FIB. There is another theory about Franklin that I have been hearing is that he might actually be an undercover cop. I do not really think this is true, and there is no evidence of it, but it is an interesting idea none the less. I do know that R* loves plot twist and betrayals.
  16. It is true that they have been living in SA for a while, but Micheal's bank robbing days were years earlier. I am thinking that what ever happened to him that landed him witness protection was at least 10 years prior or even 20 if you assume he had his kids after he got out of the business. It also makes sense that his deal with the FIB would mean a relocation and the first trailer basically outright says that he moved out to SA after "retiring". So the game could start us out in the 90's in LC or VC when Micheal and Trevor are pulling off a heist. something goes wrong, someone gets killed, Micheal gets caught by the FIB and makes a deal with them. Bam its years later in SA, Micheal is trying to enjoy his retirement, Trevor followed Mike out to SA but they are keeping their distance from each other (this is plenty of time for them to build connections). Seeing Franklin in action is what sets Micheal off, Franklin reminds him of himself when he was young. At first he is going to offer to help Franklin out, give him same advice on how to be successful in the game. what ever happens they are going to have to work together long enough for Franklin to prove his skills to Micheal enough for Micheal to want him as a heist partner. So after getting a taste of the old life he decides to try a couple bigger jobs and he goes to talk to Trevor about getting back into the game. eventually they start the smaller heist but it wont take long for the FIB to get wind of whats going on. Luckily R*'s government agents are always corrupt and they are willing to let Micheal work in exchange for some favors. Each character will have its own antagonist i think. Trevor's will be someone in the Lost. Francklin's will likely be related to the gang and I think it could even be someone from his own gang. I actually think Micheal's will be related to whoever he sold out to get the deal with the FIB (Mob boss??).I also believe someone at the FIB will be the main antagonist for the entire game. This guy/gal is going to string all three of them along asking for more and more after each major heist. Eventually they are going to have to make a decision to ki
  17. I dont know about gaming, but it's pretty well known that the MPAA rating system in the US is rigged. Small and independent movies that don't make much money will get an NC-17 rating for talking about sex while Hollywood blockbusters get away with partial nudity and sex scenes but only an R rating. but M seems like an appropriate rating for this.
  18. Not as exciting as one might think. He (thankfully) didn't, or couldn't, use any of the tanks weapons.
  19. I'm still trying to figure out how I am going to play this one handed.
  20. When a guy went on a tank rampage in real life the cops had to cut off the door. in GTA they should have it where the door locks and they can't get to you, but if you sit still for to long they will pull out some gear and cut the door off to get to you. you know, keep you on your toes.
  21. So, screenshots. real cool huh... *sad attempt to get back on topic before XBOXEDDY gets himself banned* So I noticed on another message board that people were freaking out that the number 83 popped up again remember it was on the character wheel in the game play vid). I think it is just a coinkydink and people are just being silly, but I thought I would bring it up.
  22. PS Home didn't really fail since it is still around and is still in beta. I actually got on it during E-3 and it was pretty active. anyways, I think the avatar they are talking about for PSN is the little picture that goes by your PSN Name in the upper right hand corner.
