  1. Not sure how I feel about that. Yeah, me too. I think his biggest point was that it is not like GTA4 where you toss your gun to the ground and lose it when you run out of ammo. Now I would like there to be the ability to mod multiple weapons of the same type and have some stored at safe houses. so like maybe I have one with a scope and one with out and I can just switch at the safe house when I want one or the other. I guess what he said didn't technically discount that, but it is implied. I just hope you can undo mods.
  2. So I know this site has some mixed feeling about CVG and GTA 5 O'Clock, but I thought this was worth posting. They give you the actual interview audio (so it's not just CVG making things up) and there are a few interesting points in there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBpTePVmdmg Some points I picked up on: Bullet proofing tires and roll bars will be available options for customization Confirmed car impound (if your car disappears you can pay a fee to get it back) Gas (petrol) trails that can be ignited to blow up cars You keep your guns throughout the entire game, you do not lose them. Free flowing fight system – more dynamic. No lock on required Melee plays is more useful in big fights Different enemy’s fight differently and use different tactics. Hint at more destructible environments Shooting stat will effect ammo capacity, reload speed, gun recoil, accuracy, combat movement
  3. Didn't using cheats make the game impossible to beat? there was a main story mission, later in the game, where you have to save a guy who is jumping from a building. I remember that if you used cheats anytime in the game prior to that it would be impossible to save the guy.
  4. I was very impressed with thelevel of detail for the mini games. they usually seem like an after thought, but now it seems like they really went all out on them. ...but you can lose health without losing armor. at least you could in GTA4. that seems like it could get confusing.
  5. Agreed... sort of. I think we will get used to it pretty fast, I doubt the HUD will matter much to me once I am enjoying the game. that doesn't mean there still won't be issues with it and it still begs the question of why they would change it. I don't know, in my experience we should usually trust R*, they usually put thought into the things they do. I still do not know what to think about the trend to make HUDs overly simple. I like having the word out of my way, but at the same time it got annoying in GTA4 having to always hit a button to see how much ammo/money I had or to see what time it was.
  6. Ah, but see you forget that people need things to complain about in order to make themselves feel important and relevant.
  7. I don't understand why it has to be semi-transparent. that seems like it will get annoying more then anything.
  8. I noticed that as well, the font and color are identical to GTA4. it could change, we have no clue how long ago that footage was taken.
  9. I believe franklin bought some dank ass pot he sniffed it and put it in his pocket Yeah I missed the pot sign before. The point is he keeps it so I am thinking there might be an inventory.
  10. Some other things I noticed on my second watch. Weapon wheel is similar to RDR (sorry I never played MP3 so RDR is my best comparison) where you can select a weapon on the wheel and then switch between weapons in that category. They also give you stats on the weapon. something interesting I noticed. so as people pointed out already when they bring up the character selection wheel there is a number on the bottom. well when Franklin brought up the weapon wheel it shows the character wheel in the corner and there is the outline of a person on the bottom. Franklin buys something (water?) in a store, drinks from it then puts the cap back on and puts it away. Is there an inventory? maybe you can buy things that give you health or stat boost and save them for later?
  11. Yeah I noticed this too. Top down while on foot and at an angle while driving. Which in of itself is kind a joke because 69 is r*s obvious choice and they went with 68 instead. There is a lot to process from that video, I wish i didn't have work to distract me from whats important in my life. So I wonder how often you are going to drop in on Trevor with 5 stars. could that have just been for the demo, I imagine it could get annoying in the game.
  12. I was thinking they would have about 4 short videos. one for Micheal, the heist and the high life in LS. The second for Franklin, the Gang life and the streets of LS. Third for Trevor and the country side. the fourth MP. In each one we will get little snips of how things work, but nothing in to much detail.
  13. My guess... just five minutes of Trevor pooping in the woods.
  14. I officialy anounce that that was a pretty stupid question. A town is a town. But if you really want to know my opinion of what i think. I think smaller than LS airport. Why is that? R* could have a collection of 3 buildings and call that a town or they could all be the size of Montgomery in SA. they could make something half the size of LS in GTA:SA and it could still be a town because it is all relative. I wasn't asking for the definition of what a town is, I am just curious about how big all these towns are going to be. So I "officially announce" it was a very reasonable question.
  15. I have been watching the gameplay videos R* released for RDR, LAN and MP3. They all follow the same format more or less so it seems likely they will do the same this time around. there will be little short clips of gameplay intermixed with regular screenshots/cut scene clips, add in a voice over talking about the game. It also seems like MP3 mainly showed MP, so maybe they will do that here as well.
  16. Why? They did it with RDR, LAN, and MP3. I've seen quite a few people around the 'netz saying "they won't do that" just because they didn't do it with IV or earlier GTAs. They fail to look at the big picture which is Rockstar's marketing strategies for all of their games. That's how we know when to expect info - by looking at other recent game releases from Rockstar. I got that, but RDR. LAN and MP aren't GTA. I always figured that GTA had enough clout that they could get away without releasing gameplay. In other words those other games were a little more uncertain and unknown so people would want to see gameplay before buying it, but GTA is so well known it probably wouldn't matter. It just strikes me that R* would be inclined to not release any gameplay if they didn't have to. Obviously I was wrong, I know R* wouldn't really spoil anything (unless you consider the gameplay it's self something that can be spoiled like some people do) and I am sure I will enjoy preview.
  17. lol, I might just do that. I am just saying that it will be hard to ignore the gameplay video, mostly because I will be too curious.
  18. I am more curious by what they consider a town. How big are some these town going to be I wonder.
  19. R* is usually so limiting on what they release, I cant imagine that they would release extensive gameplay footage. Of course, I am shocked that they are releasing any gameplay footage. I really dont know what to think about that. Exactly, you would have to pretty much ignore this site and most of your regular internet locations for the next few months.
  20. I don't see them doing two pools of money but It would be interesting to have to go through some sort of mission to "clean" the money you get from a job. So maybe just like you have to dump the car, you have to take the money to someone to exchange it for clean bills. maybe you can skip that step but you risk getting a wanted level when you try and spend it.
  21. Cali weather doesn't particularly encourage tornadoes. Fun fact, the LA basin is actually considered the "Tornado capital of the west". they have more tornado there then any place west of the rocky's. of course they are usually really small and almost always off shore (waterspouts). A couple years back we had a small tornado hit not far from my house, all it did was flip a parked train. this article talks a bit aout LA weather: http://www.aag.org/c...release.id=1480 Nope, never happened unless you were using mods. It can, but I guess it depends on your definition of torrential. I mean there has been many storms that we might call torrential but are nothing compared to the "monsoons" in Arizona (and I dont think those are anything compared to some of the ones they have in other places in the world, like in Asia). I will refer back to this article: http://www.aag.org/c...release.id=1480
  22. Fuck that, I want to see the map now that they've revealed a chunk of it and with all the speculation that's been going on. Perhaps without the icons though, so it still has some elements of surprise. Shit. I'm still finding things in San Andreas and I've been playing that for years. If they reveled the whole map tomorrow I think there would be more than enough mystery for months if not years. Bring it on I say. No argument there. I am sure there will be plenty to find no matter what. I would just rather have some screen shots then a map reveal. I also kind of like the guess work.
