  1. @MainEvent. It's simple really. All you have to do is buy low and sell high ( just like it says in the game ). Except that the Stock Exchange in the game is better than any real-life counterpart, in that companies never go bankrupt, so if you wait long enough you will always make money ( you can't lose ). Some Missions ( like the Assassination Missions ) influence the market, and even doing some things while Free-Roaming can have an affect on stock prices as well. Like for instance blowing up Businesses Trucks/ Planes, or killing their employees and then investing in Rival Companies. Most of the Companies have a Major Rival. Some examples are ~ *Bean Machine - Cool Beans *Burger Shot - Up-An-Atom *Taco Bomb - Clucking Bell *Air Emu - Fly US *Bank of Liberty - MazeBank *GoPostal - Post OP etc... So if you screw around with one company it will positively affect the other. For instance blowing up a few "GoPostal" Vans with an RPG will improve the stock-value of "Post OP". Or using some Sticky Bombs to blow up some "Fly US" Planes at the Airport will raise the share-price of Air Emu.
  2. Synch is talking about getting underneath the map through a glitch in the game-world's terrain/ landscape/ buildings etc. Here's a video outlining what he's talking about ~
  3. There are plenty of opportunities to make money. You just need to invest the money you make from Heists into Businesses and Shares. Businesses are important for their regular income, and shares are even better because of the massive profits that can be made with them. It's kind of like real-life. Most people won't make enough money from their job alone to become rich ( or in the case of GTA V's characters - Heisting Joints ). They need to invest the money they earn, so that the money works for them, instead of it being the other way round. I think Rockstar is secretly telling us the secret to being successful and making money is Investments. And because most people are too ignorant or stupid to work it out for themselves, they decided to make it a major gameplay element. They're saying that you don't need to be a Drug Dealer/ Crime Lord, or to have a Genius-Level Intellect to make money. Any person with half a brain and a decent work ethic can become financially comfortable or even rich. Investments seem complex, but they're not, and anyone with a disposable income should be setting some money aside to buy some. But most people don't ( for whatever reason ), and this game will end up going right over their heads.
  4. I thought that there might be an enterable shopping mall or something. But alas no....
  5. They are, but only if you have space for them. They don't, I had a modded Lamborghini type car that I bought with Frankin, abandoned it to do a stranger/freak mission, then when I went back to the garage it wasn't there, wasn't in any of the impounds either If you lose your modded car/ bike, just go down to the impound lot at Downtown Los Santos Police Station ( it's marked with a white vehicle icon on your map ). Then pay the $250 fee to get it out. It won't always be the right car ( it could be a different one ), but eventually it will turn up there ( it's just a matter of time ). All you need to do is wait a while, maybe switch characters/ do some missions, and it will eventually turn up.
  6. You guys don't have to agree with Sync, just agree to disagree. Remember that this is the "Things You Didn't Like In GTA V Topic", so we're all just giving our opinions. Not facts or anything. Use the Dinghy or Submarine, and when you exit them you automatically equip Scuba Gear ( this is in Free-Roam ). Here's a vid showing the location of a Submarine where you can get Scuba Gear ( first you will need to buy a property to access it ) ~
  7. The "Sandking" is a Beast when customized with armour upgrades. It takes a massive beating from bullets and cops crashing into it without slowing down at all. And because it's a lot higher off the ground than other vehicles, your character hardly ever gets hit by bullets.
  8. Yeah I was hoping for more weapons as well ( especially melee ones like the Katana & Chainsaw ). But if you look at the display shelf at Ammunation, there are a couple of empty spots which look like place holders for potential DLC weapons. Which annoys me a bit, because these weapons were probably held-back from the final version of the game. Just so they could be sold as DLC further down the track...
  9. Here's an interesting video from someone who's done their homework on making money in the stock market. Remember to hold down the "+" button when buying stock ( makes the whole process a lot faster ). My advice is that once you have at least $100,000, go and invest all of it in a company which is fluctuating a lot ( with at least a 100-400% drop in value ). I did this with Radio Los Santos, and bought it at $3.50. And then sold it about a week later at $7.20, for a 120% return on my investment ( a $120,000 profit ). Then once you have the larger amount of money ( now $220 000 ), reinvest it in another company, using the same method as before ( looking for massive fluctuations ). If you can get your "Net Worth" for each character to at least $1,000,000 each, before any heists, and then do all of the Assassination Missions towards the end of the game ( to maximise the amount of money available for investing ). You will then be well on your way to having enough money for the expensive end-game businesses and toys ( don't forget to invest in the right companies after the Assassination Missions ). And remember that the Golf Course costs $150 Million, so you will be needing a lot of money by the end of the game. And not just to buy properties, but for vehicles ( like the Rhino/ Buzzard ) and such as well.
  10. There are a ton of Health pick-ups scattered around ( if you're willing to look for them ). All three hospitals in Los Santos have a health pick-up right outside them. The more you get to know Los Santos, the easier it is to remember where all the health/ armour and weapon pick-ups are. As well as all of the points of interest, like back-alley's to get rid of the cops, or good defensive positions ( which have cover from police helicopters/ and are hard to flank ).
  11. Like the title says, which are your favourite cars and why? http://www.igta5.com/vehicles MUSCLE CARS ~ Buccaneer by Albany Influences: Ford Fairlane, Buick Riviera Capacity: 2 Dominator by Vapid Influences: Ford Mustang Capacity: 2 Gauntlet by Bravado Influences: Dodge Challenger, Chevy Camaro Capacity: 2 Hotknife Influences: Capacity: 2 Phoenix by Imponte Influences: Chevy Camaro Capacity: 2 Picador by Cheval Influences: Chevy El Camino Capacity: 2 Rat-Loader Influences: Capacity: 2 Ruiner by Imponte Influences: Chevy Camaro, Pontiac Firebird Capacity: 2 Sabre Turbo by Declasse Influences: Chevrolet Chevelle, Oldsmobile Cutlass Capacity: 2 Vigero by Declasse Influences: Chevy Camaro, Plymouth Barracuda Capacity: 2 Voodoo by Declasse Influences: Chevy Impala Capacity: 2 These are my favourite cars from each category ~ Sports Car ~ I personally like the Grotti Carbonizzare, due to it's unbelievably good acceleration and handling. Muscle Car ~ I like the Bravado Gauntlet because it's one of the best-looking cars when combined with a Matte Black Paintjob. Super Car ~ You can't go past the Bugatti Veyron inspired Truffade Adder, it's sheer raw power and speed make it one of the best cars for Street Races ( even though the handling could be better ). Which cars do you like the best?
  12. There is also armor in the Downtown LS Police Station ( in the lobby area ). Plus you can buy a drink there, so you will have max health and armor after coming here.
  13. Training Chop should of been in the game ( not in some bullshit IOS App )...
  14. I agree, there should be car insurance for your custom rides in the Single Player portion of the game ( it's doesn't make sense that GTA Online has it but GTA V's SP doesn't ). Yeah I won't put anything in Franklin's Garage anymore, after I lost a recently modded muscle car.
  15. Thanks, I think I'll try and upgrade the Sand King then. But the Securicar is slow as fuck, and you can't upgrade it to go faster. And like @ConQueSteD said the Nosse Van is a pain in the ass to get as well ( plus you can't upgrade Law Enforcement vehicles either ). I was also thinking about getting the Crusader and Barracks vehicles from the Military website. Do you guys know if these vehicles are customizable?
  16. There are 6 different Garages in the impound. So my guess is that the last 6 vehicles lost will be stored there ( even though the last time I went there, only one of them had a vehicle ).
  17. A bit late, but when I was using Google to access this site, it kept redirecting me to an Ad-Site which contained malware, which was blocked by my firewall ( I don't use Google Chrome/ and don't have ad-block ). So from then on I just come directly to the site & forums, and bypass the ad pop ups and re-directs on the Google Shortcuts. But I'm guessing that new users of the site ( who probably used Google to find igta5/ searching for GTA V related stuff ) would of probably had a few problems, and might of even been infected if their Firewall or Anti-Virus wasn't up too scratch. *PS ~ I've also noticed that a lot of the top listed sites found on Google lately have had some form of virus on their pages ( Forums/ Porn/ News & Information pages etc ). Fucking hackers leaving this crap everywhere these days. I guess it doesn't really matter, since most viruses are easy to get rid of anyway...
  18. What are the toughest and most heavily armoured vehicles in the game? ( other than the Rhino ) And what vehicles benefit the most from armour upgrades? I want to know because vehicles seem to disintegrate extremely fast under enemy fire ( leaving you vulnerable ).
  19. Why wait 60 seconds, when you can get it in 30? It was only meant to give some help to players who have just started the game. Plus if these weapons are in the same locations for GTA Online, it might be useful to know where they are.
  20. The Body Armor in Downtown LS Police Station is the heaviest in the game as well ( I know because I equipped it, and then checked which one it was at Ammunation ).
  21. I have a stupid question... How do I turn the engine off? Actually you can't turn a vehicle off anymore while in the car ( even though you could turn off the engine in GTA lV ). But if you press right on the Dpad 3 times ( while in a car ), it will cycle through normal headlights, strong headlights, and then turn them off completely ( which will give you more stealth ).
  22. Yeah there is no dividend, which is weird. It would of made them a viable alternative to Real Estate/ Businesses.
  23. There is a way to get bonus customizations for the three protagonists ( like new haircuts ). Bonus customizations and haircuts - To unlock additional customization options for Michael, Franklin, and Trevor, go to Rockstar's LifeInvader social network, and click the "Stalk" button on the page. Sign into LifeInvader with your Social Club name and password. Different pages will appear randomly after refreshing. Click the "Stalk" button on each one to unlock something new for use in GTA 5. To unlock new haircuts for Michael, Franklin, and Trevor, go to Herr Kutz Barber and click the "Stalk" button. ^^^ ^^^ ^^^ Also for a free vehicle repair, Quick-Save the game, then Reload the save. And Voila! Your vehicle is repaired. ^^^ ^^^ ^^^ Lots of Hidden Gun Locations ( Pistol/ SMG/ Shotgun/ Assault Rifle/ Grenade Launcher/ RPG/ Machine Gun/ Sniper Rifle ) ~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99z8MguI004 This will be useful when starting out in GTA Online ( it will save you money finding these free weapons ).
  24. In this video below, there is a cave next to the ocean on the East Coast ( the vid will show you the location ). If you look at the cave from the entrance ( looking into it ), you will see a letter-scrap on a sandbank on the left side of the cave ( this is the first one I found/ after a trip around the coast by boat ).
