It's amazing that none of the major gaming sites (IGN, Kotaku, etc) picked it up. The only ones that seem to be really talking about it are non-english GTA fansites or a couple news outlets that have unregulated user-submitted news.

With that many retweets and favorites you'd think it would have spread like wildfire across the internet.

I'm hoping for a station with 24/7 action music similar to the scores they said they were going to use during missions. That would really help me get in the mood for cop chases and races.

Downloadable Music... that's what i want. I have a feeling the music might suck because all the music of today sucks. They are trying to go modern even with the songs they have in the game, so i'm not expecting anything great like in Vice City, so really imma just stick with talk shows in V.

Ogden's Nut Gone Flake - 1968

Skeletons - 1987

Radar Love - 1973

Because all those tracks are SO modern. There's NO WAY there could be radio stations with variety in a GTA game, we've NEVER seen that before. :luis:

Oh i didn't realize you worked for Rockstar and knew those were in the game just because they used them for the trailer. FYI jackass, i never said their wouldn't be older music, i just said they are trying to go modern, and that most modern music sucks.

Name one instance when a piece of music in a Rockstar trailer wasn't in the game itself? With regards to Radar Love, several previews sited it as being in the game, as they heard it during the demo. Also, every GTA game set in (or near) modern times has modern music in it. Most of it's not bad, but if you hear something you don't like, you have the ability to change to another station.

Again I didn't say they would not be in the game... ever since GTA 3, the trailer music has been on the radio during the game. I simply said most most modern music sucks, therefore the majority of the music in the game may not be to my standards. Not my standards... but maybe yours, as this is called "Theory on music in GTAV" I am giving my theory.

Although I agree most of the music that gets put out today is pretty bad (I blame the internet), I think it's pretty safe to say Rockstar will come through with some pretty good stuff. I don't know who on their staff selects music, but whoever they are, they have good taste. Plus, it's also fair to say Rockstar will have almost as many throwback stations as mainstream.

I feel good about the potential current Hip Hop station -- Al has always been a dope producer; I heard last month that Snoop did something; Game already let it be known he worked on it; more recently, my homie in the Bay (although he lies sometimes) told me E-40 liscened a track off. GTA always stays local with its Hip Hop stations, so I expect some Kendrick Lamar, Odd Future, Pac Div, Ab-Soul, Nipsey Hussle, Dom Kennedy. There's some good music in all of those cats.

And, there will be a dubstep station -- or at least dubstep being played on an electronic music station. It's fucked up for some, but that's what's hot right now. So it is what it is.

I only "wish" for one track to make it, though, just because it feels that good. I play this every night on the drive home:

God, it's gonna be great. Watching the opening cutscenes, listening to the epic piece of sound that they'll have prepared for us. Feeling the warmth of LS radiate off your TV. Meeting everyone for the first time, slowly beginning to think of them like someone you know. Falling in love with Rockstar's thriving, living, breathing meta-worlds all over again. Watching the salt air sway the palm trees and sing as it passes through the desert valleys, over the blades of the mills at the wind farm, through the dense forests...All while groovin' to R*'s soundtrack. God, it's gonna be great.

SPRING 2013.

Clearly, GTA V needs at least 6 Dubstep stations, a rap station hosted by Nicki Minaj, and a 24/7 Blood On The Dancefloor station.

But seeing as we won't get that, my other current choices for station genres are:

Brutal Death/Grindcore (Anal Cunt, Dying Fetus, Carcass, Cattle Decapitation)

Soul - Old and New (Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, D'Angelo)

Progressive Rock

Shit! I just reached my like quota :D

I'm hoping for 3 times as much talk radio in GTAV that there was in GTAIV. Lazlo, Martin Serious, that judge from the divorce show. I'm also crossing my fingers for that bitter couple from SA to make a return. Talk radio is probably what I listen to the most in any GTA game.

Come on, Lazlo! Make meh proud.

I want this song to feature. It'd be nice to hear as you fire an LMG out the rear doors of an armored car as Michael, weave in and out of Downtown LS traffic as Franklin, or provide air support in a Buzzard as Trevor, while escaping independent security agencies and LSPD for the massive heist you just pulled.

Fuckin' A.

I'd rather not feel like I'm watching Spongebob while I'm playing GTAV... :ermm:
