I'm also having an issue where in certain topics the scroll bar disappears so I can't read anything but the most recent post. -
Got through Honest Hearts. Ran out of all ammo during the last battle, so I ended up beheading Salt-Upon-Wounds with a machete. Felt good.

I tried using Internet Explorer and it was fine, so it seems to be a Chrome issue. -

I'm getting it every time I load a page. -
Honest Hearts at level 10 may have been a mistake. I've got a solid 100 pounds of food and water (plus the abundant clean drinking water in Zion) but I'm running low on .357 ammo, which both my guns require. Didn't occur to me that cowboys don't really exist in Zion, so .357 rounds are scarce. Currently scrounging for .45 rounds so I can use the auto-pistol, otherwise I'm gonna be hitting everything with a machete. Really should have gone into this with more than 200 rounds.

Ok I have doubled the hardcore mode H2O/Food/Sleep drain rates. Dead Money is going to be an ordeal.
-
I think I'm addicted to modding New Vegas. I seem to install at least one every time I play. On the plus side I got rid of the ridiculous orange filter and now nights are actually dark.
-
Who knew hacking people apart with a machete was so fun in NV? I have to admit, hardcore mode isn't hardcore enough for me. I currently eat and drink once a day and sleep every 3. I was hoping for it to be more oppressive.

You can sort of guess from what they've priced everything at. Based on what they did with Skyrim I'd assume there'll be another reasonably sized story DLC. Hazzar! I'm contributing to a F4 discussion.
-
I just noticed in the release it said "more than $60 worth of DLC". Not sure if that means another $60 worth is coming, or it's $60 worth including these 3. If it includes these three it leaves about $20 worth of DLC left to come. (basing this on more than $60 meaning less than $70)
-
They've said there's more to come, and given they're raising the price I'd be pretty confident this won't be the only DLC. The Pitt and Point Lookout were the best things about Fallout 3, so I'd expect the DLC to be decent at worst.
-
Don't worry man, they really want to repay your loyalty. That's why they're increasing the season pass price. Who wouldn't want to pay for a robot DLC when a mod already does most of it?
-
My buddy is an excellent troll. He shares my view on Fallout (1, 2 and NV are amazing. Fuck 3 and 4) so when he was in Washington, D.C. he got me a New Vegas style snow globe... from D.C. Well played, sir. Also that red mark is the reflection from my TV. I'm watching Frasier.

I finally got it working again. Calamity Jane is up and running! Yeah I have no idea how mods will work on console. Don't think it's ever been done before? Apparently Bethesda are planning to release a patch which will include hardcore mode for 4. Shouldn't the game have come with that?

Starting a NV Hardcore mode game. I was going to only use a machete, but I realised the Sierra Madre is going to be all kinds of hell as it is. Taking out the radios with a machete is near impossible. Figure I'll play female and use cowboy weapons, so Cass will likely be with me a lot. Main issue I'll face is a lack of .357/.44 magnum rounds, and as bullets have weight I can't just keep a bunch of backup ammo with me. Looking forward to punching Caesar in the face again. Never gets old. Edit: Well, forget that. Nexus Mod Manager updated, which has completely fucked my mods, so I will instead spend the evening enabling mods one at a time to see what is causing it to crash. Lucky I have this bottle of rum for company. Edit 2: Seems to be an issue with my weapon modification mods. Fuck this, time to hack off some limbs in Postal 2.

http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/45511/? This could be interesting. Still in Alpha, but the option to wander around with a friend or two sounds like it could be fun. No idea how it'll work in practice, though. Quests in particular could be an issue. It's promising it isn't going to be an MMO mod, so that's something. Nothing kills immersion in a game like 50 other idiots doing the same quest at the same time. I think there's one for Fallout 3 as well, but I can't see the appeal. Well, I guess having a friend with me would give me someone to complain to. Edit: Just remembered most of you aren't PC gamers so I'm not sure what the point of this post is.

I'd assume it's the same person. You said "Randy Savage fetish" like it's a bad thing. I can't believe anyone doesn't like the Macho Man. I'm not sure what a Slim Jim is, but I know I want one. OHHHH YEEEAAAH!

I was going to say that you need to speak to her doctors, without her knowledge. She'll have her reasons for not telling you, but you also need to know what's happening. Indy fucked all that up by reminding me of doctor/patient confidentiality. So, for your own mental health you need to gently pressure her to tell you what's happening. If she still doesn't....I'm sorry, man. People need to deal with awful situations in their own way, and that often isn't a logical or conventional way. Hope she recovers soon.

That dialogue is....so bad. Anyway, apparently there's a mod which makes all Deathclaws look like the Macho Man. I am now tempted to buy this game.

Fructose is not glucose. While I agree that the less sugar in your diet the better, this isn't my issue. I could eat a bag of sugar and be fine. Well, relatively. If I eat broccoli, I spend the next 24 hours shitting and vomiting. Fructose (and all the other crazy things in natural foods which make me sick) is found in many common fruits and vegetables. Makes eating healthily a monotonous chore. I am so sick of carrots, green beans and potatoes. I must confess I didn't watch the video, so my post is about my health issues rather than a debate about the safety of sugar.

I prefer Pickman's blade, but I use a unique ripper anyway.Who was your favourite companion in KOTOR Sexy? Mine has to be Trask Ulgo, that guy... He's hilarious. The second game, not as good as the first, a shame it was so unfinished. Not Obsidian's greatest game - hey look I brought the conversation back to Fallout. Hahahahaha Trask! Poor fucker. I just let him die. KoToR II is better than KoToR (and I love that game) if you have the restored content mod. It essentially restores most cut content so the game makes sense...and has an ending (while not as severe, I use a bunch of mods on NV to make it work properly, too). HK-47 dealing with the HK-50 factory is fucking hilarious. I like it more as Obsidian write really well, so II is quite existential and very dark. I like the darkness. Obsidian need to negotiate contracts better, so they can actually finish a game. NV and KoToR II were both rushed, and it shows. As for favourite companion....HK and Canderous are untouchable. As much as I dislike Bethesda Fallout games, I'll give credit where it's due. In 4, Power Armour looks like it's supposed to. In 3 and NV it was a tin can compared to the robot suit from 1 and 2. So good job!
-
I should really get back to Fallout. Unfortunately KoToR II sucked me in. I'm sure you'll all believe me when I say I'll make The Master my bitch, which will lead to his suicide. Or I may just nuke the place. So many decisions. Or I could just start my stupid character. I won't be able to do missions but I'm sure you'll all enjoy my drooling, retarded woman kicking everything in the dick. To attempt to feel included, I watched my friend playing some Fallout 4....yeah, not for me.
-
They use bugs in the game and quicksave/load glitches to rush through it. Didn't bother watching the video, just thought it was worth a laugh. Takes me about 40 hours just to reach The Strip, so I don't think speed runs are for me.
-
Apparently 3 and NV have now been beaten under 15 minutes. We all like to claim we're Fallout fans, but this takes it to another level. I can't believe it's a fun way to play.

Again, the internet is your friend. Some good recipes out there, I'm just too much of a spastic to follow them. You just need to accept that gluten free baking will never taste as good as gluten baking...I'm guessing there's coke in gluten. I'm usually fine with hockey references but come on...4-1 loss to the Jets...at home...and they call this an improvement on last season? Delusional. 25th anniversary jersey is cool, at least. And don't be. It's a suburb which is entirely unremarkable save the gluten free bakery. You'd be better served going to Croydon. You'll get a good experience of the Australian wildlife we call citizens...and potentially raped and assaulted in other ways...fuck, I'm a snob. I'm also right.
