  1. Exploring....more findable weapons, ammo, armor, health..... Yeah so...what do we need.... More findable ammo, weapons, armor, health....vehicles....packages.... The ambulances will still give health, the cop cars will still give shotgun shells.... Sorry for you newbs who are reading, I am old school GTA, so I expect shit for free.....
  2. the white dude. that is all. (unless it's more than one option)
  3. For some reason out here on the east coast they love the Italian, and the sausage and peppers are literally everywhere. Damn I miss the Mexican food from California.

You should go and see if The King will give you the mission again. He will fund the mission. Don't kill him or you can't do the mission, and it needs to get done. I would re-load a previous save if you have one, and do the mission for King to check him out. Note: It helps to have high medical for Orris, as the last part of the mission gives you a different outcome if you tell him the real story about his buddies. Speech and Medical. About the MKII Armor, you never need to buy it, it is found on dead guys in at least 3 locations. @DiO: Mis-spelling. Try searching Orris the bodyguard and the mission is G.I. Blues. FNV
  5. It happens flying around LA at night a lot. Maybe the game is reflecting reality a bit more now.
  6. Good point DuP I keep thinking how they must limit travel to LS, as opposed to SA which had so much more like SF and LV. In that line of thinking, air travel restricted to the new LS area..... it's difficult to imagine, but it's GTA5 not SA. Nice screens. Good to see the Cheetah back in action. Loved that ride since GTAIII. Red glow on the plane wing could be tower lights, reflection, anything....not tripping over that right now. Just good to see progress.

Yep, after the litigations and court dust settled, Bethesda has all the rights. That is the way they wanted it, as they wanted to own Fallout and do it right. I think it was on the Bethesda Forums I read that. Anyway, yeah, they're on for another one, and I hope it's soon.

The Winterized T-51b remains at 100% and never degrades. (Meter bar visually) It's only until you take it to Point Lookout that I noticed it degrading. Go to Haley and he makes repairs. That is only if you have glitched him up to 100% repair skill. You can't do it yourself even if you steal his repair suit. He has the regular low skill, then it slowly builds up as you use him. After I get him there, I never use anyone else. In previous games I've taken all rare weapons and armor to that guy, no one else (including you even at 100%) can repair the rare items except him. Keep him alive.

Ummm, yeah I get one shot kills on humans all the time with level 3 Dart Guns. 100 sneak, every first shot is a critical. Come to think of it most of my level 3 crafted weapons are one shot kills. Also the Dart Gun kills Super Mutants first head shot as well. Not true for Masters and on up, like Brutes and Overlords. The Infiltrator and Perforator are much faster on the more difficult ones. About the Railway Rifle, I am still finding ghoul heads pinned to walls when I re-visit old areas. Have to be fast as that thing is really loud. The Victory Rifle and Reservist's Rifle are also one shot kills if they are in perfect condition.

Yes the level cap is 30. With the Explorer Perk you will only see base game locations. These are reportable to Reilly with the Geomapper. Some of the DLC locations are also reportable to her. (Note you cannot map/go to Vault 87 - it is irradiated) There are also many locations not on the map such as the Roach King, the Musty Caves, Gallo's hide out, the Ghoul's Outpost near Grayditch, the Talon hide out near Megaton, the Mirelurk Spawn zone, etc etc... Lots of unmapped locations in the wastes.Have fun exploring!

Sounds like a good character. Flame on!
  13. The difficulty on hardcore the reasoning for that? I played it for 32 hours straight my first time on hardcore because I sucked dick at hardcore mode, Fetish was a walk in the park though. I replayed through the second one recently on the Insane difficulty (only had beaten it on Sane before) and got both endings. That game is just tragic, truly one of the biggest dissapointments Rockstar have ever given us, stealth seems to go right out the window towards the back end of the game. Compare that to the first game where if you didn't maintain stealth you were dead meat. Buy it for PC, it'll run better and the plethora of mods make it worthwhile. @Cyantist: There is actually mods for the original Manhunt? I almost don't want to know. Hardcore mode, so awesome.

@DO: Everyone has Fawkes, and yes he rocks the GL. (After he rocks the Super Sledge) About good old Uncle Leo, he is a random encounter who will re-appear in different areas, can be killed, has a variety of funny dialogs, and generally will come to your aid. I can't remember but I think he has a melee weapon or nothing. Only seen him fight once. He will call you little sister if you are female, or little brother if you are male. Here is Fawkes and one of my mind controlled Deathclaws. (Device required from BOS Scribe for the Broken Steel DLC) Here is my old signature: Based on killing my 5th and final Behemoth in the Capitol for the achievement: Here is a few of those shots Massacre likes as well. One of my favorites is Gnome Bowling, under a table in the Mobile Crawler. Pitt Mini-Gnomes! Ant-Angonizer Outfit and the Red Racer Teddy: The trick to keeping the big teddy BIG, is never mix it with regular teddy bears. Right now I keep all 45 of my regular teddy bears at my Tenpenny Suite, not Megaton. I save them up for when I do The Pitt DLC, after which you can sell them at 3x price. Meanwhile my new girl (Asian Hottie Luv U ZRong Time) has the big teddy on her bed. L0L Sorry too funny. ZhuRong v418 is the Chinese Pistol with incindiary rounds found at LOB building. Same for the cameras, I always save the cameras along with my crafting items from day 1. That is so I can sell them back to a certain BOS Scribe for a whopping 100 caps each. I'm sitting at about 198,000 caps right now and only done 2 DLC's. None of my old African Priestess shots would be complete without V-Bagging. V-Bagging Reilly: V-Bagging both of Dukov's Girls, before rescuing the white girl: Of course none of these are as good as yours DO but they were fun.

My comments are in red. Only schematics I've found are rock-it launcher, death claw, rock-it launcher and bottle cap mine. edit and how much intensive training should I do. bin going lots. only perks right now that seem worth it are extra HP related but im not really having any issues there. not bothering with and scavenging perks cause Im fine money wise. the only other one I might get right now is law bringer. How good is that? seems like just another way to get money that I dont need. Id rather train. PS Is there a full armor set for this helmet? aslo nabbed col autum's gear. haazah 1.) The Flamer is available on day one. The first one I go for is northwest of Megaton up the Potomac River. There is a Raider encampment on the freeway overpass. That is where I get my first Flamer and second Sniper Rifle. (The first Sniper Rifle is hidden in a hollowed out rock behind Megaton) The second Flamer I go for is more north up the Potomac at a Power Relay Station, inhabited by Raiders. Inside the enclosed section below, is another Pyro Raider named Torcher. Take his unique mask as well. It is basically just a named Raider Welding Mask that is good for wearing because it adds points to the heavy weapon skill. The Shishkabob is a crafting item that I usually go for first as it is lethal at level 3 schematic, and easily repairable using the Chinese Officer's Swords that the Raiders carry. By game end I have hundreds of them. The Heavy Incinerator is found on the Enclave Hellfire Troopers, I thought you had the GOTY edition. After game end, the Broken Steel DLC will automatically kick in, and those Enclave weapons are everywhere. They kind of suck but again they are pretty good. I collect, repair, and usually sell them to Flak & Shrapnel. Flamer variants: I prefer the Burnmaster found in the Franklin Metro, base game, the Slo-Burn Flamer found in the storage area of Adams AFB, Broken Steel DLC, and the Rapid-Torch Flamer found in the Deathclaw Lab of the Mobile Enclave Crawler, Broken Steel DLC. Obviously, I am obsessed with fire and torching everything to death. Pyromaniac. But, when you have 100 in all skills and at least 9 in all the SPECIAL catagories, you're usually mastering all the weapons. 2.) The unique Gatling Laser in the base game is the Vengeance and is found in the Deathclaw Sanctuary. You will find it if you are ever on the search for the Bobbleheads, which are pretty much a must-collect. The other unique Gatling Laser is the Precision Gatling Laser which is found on the Armory Master, in the Enclave Mobile Crawler Armory, Broken Steel DLC. If you set all the computers to have the turrets, robots to randomly activate (they fire on your enemies) and then go ahead and disable the deathclaw fields, by the time you get to the Armory Master he will undoubtedly be dead as well as the robots and deathclaws. After Vertibirds show up in the game I always carry one of these 2 GL's to shoot them down on site. 3.) Child at Heart Perk / Speeching him. I try and speech everyone in the game anyway. The CAH perk just allows for some unique dialogs with the various children found in the game. 4.) Commander Henry Casdin is the leader of the Brotherhood Outcasts. They are the guys walking around the wastes with heavy weaponry and the different red power armor. They left the Brotherhood of Steel for political reasons, and hate Elder Lyons. Fort Independence is south west of Megaton. When you first encounter the fort, a dialog will take over for you to get down, there is an incoming group of Raiders. The Outcasts shoot them down and then you can engage in speech. She will direct you to Casdin over in the fenced yard with a military truck nearby. The entire area is an old military base, with some unique weapons and ammo inside. What you will need to do is gain the confidence of Casdin, by turning in tech items. Lasers, Plasma weapons, small parts, Enclave Power Armor. In return he gives out large amounts of Stimpacks, Frag Grenades, 5.56mm ammo, and RadAway. After awhile, you can stealthily pick the "red" marked lock, but once inside, it's all green to steal. The basement is loaded with heavy stuff including alien ammo. Just don't piss these guys off, they WILL kill you. Just make sure you have their confidence otherwise you will be at war with the Outcasts, and you don't want that. By the way, I do the Outcast DLC called Operation: Anchorage for the Outcasts, as early as possible in the base game...... 5.) The black item is the Chinese Stealth Armor. It is yours after completion of the above mentioned DLC, Operation:Anchorage. It's like the stealth boys, but never wears off. You just have to stay crouched. I always stock up on Recon Armor from the vendors, to make the repairs myself. Right now I have about 20 suits of half-good Recon Armor to be used for parts. With this armor, a stealth skill of 100, and silenced weapons such as the Dart Gun, Silenced 10mm, and the 2 silenced assault rifles from The Pitt DLC, you are pretty much unstoppable. Each of the schematics has 3 versions or levels. I always buy the first Nuka Grenade schem from Doc Hoff ASAP. (Because he may um...go away at some point) Shishkabob Bottlecap Mine Dart Gun Nuka Grenade Deathclaw Gauntlet Rock-It Launcher Railway Rifle I always get all 3 schematics except the Deathclaw Gauntlet which is a random encounter for the 3rd. I've gotten it a few times on PC, and a few times on XB360, but it is really random. There is around 100 Nuka Cola Quantums in the game, and I collect them and don't do anything with them until around that number for the base game. Once I have that many, I do two things. I do the Nuka Cola Challenge for Sierra Petrovita in Girdershade, but only after doing "Those!" in Grayditch. The reason is in Grayditch is a cool side mission which involves the dude in Girdershade later. While in the Grayditch mission Those! with the fire ants, there is a note, and a location to find. In that location is a key and a package. You are to take the package to Ronald in Girdershade. Later when you do the Nuka Cola Challenge for Sierra, Ronald is there and you have options. One thng to note is that Ronald carries a unique weapon called The Kneecapper which I always must add to my collection of all the unique weapons. The second thing I do after completing Sierra's mission (because that requires 30 Quantums, so 100-30=70 left) is I take the Quantum Chemist Perk. This allows every 10 Nuka Colas in your inventory to become 1 Quantum. At level 3 of the Nuka Grenade Schematic, one Quantum makes 3 Nuka Grenades. And I love blowing shit up with those..... About thievery...it is the only way to get Vance's unique Vampire's Edge Sword, it's in a hard locked locker. I do it with stealth and he never detects it, never knows or cares.... 6.) Brailey Ewers is the wife of Ken Ewers, one of the inhabitants of Arefu. I don't know how you traveled to Meresti Station and met The Family and Vance without going through Arefu, but the original way to get there is: In Megaton, the Sherriff, Manya, or Moriarty may mention to you that Lucy West seems upset. She is one of your neighbors in Megaton, other side of Jericho. She needs you to deliver a letter to her mom and dad in Arefu. In Arefu there are the Wests, the Ewers, and some other folks. When you do the mission, you are sent on a journey to find "The Family" which is Vance and his Family in Meresti Station. This mission can have a number of really really good karma outcomes, but most people just fuck it up. I do it to where everyone is happy, you get a lot of rewards, and there is an agreement between the two sides, Arefu and Meresti, with a Moderator of sorts living in that shack you couldn't get into, in Arefu. After it is all done, the residents of Arefu give you gifts, but not as much as you get in Megaton, more like one time only. Brailey is, for me, one of the funniest crazy people in the game. 7.) No problemo dude. Looking good at that res. When I played on PC, I posted hundreds of screens here. (& Psy's old forums) Still have them, but much lower res than yours. Keep up the good work. Sorry for long answers but Im passionate about this game. Here is an old shot of my girl in T51-B Winterized Armor with the Xuanlong, and my old friend the unique nice mutant, Unlce Leo. He's really cool.

Flamer, Shishkabob, and Heavy Incinerator are more powerful with the Pyro perk. As for Gatling Lasers, they are great but my stash of them is for parts. There is a special GL in the base game, and another in Broken Steel. Both are one shot kills for Vertibirds, similar to Tesla Cannons. I actually go hunting Overlords who carry the GL. L0L the Wazer Wifle is great, Biwwy just gives it you. I never paid. Have you made friends with Casdin yet? You'll never need grenades, stims, or Xuanlong ammo again. As for Hemophotage, I thought it was a great perk. Blood packs are everywhere, low weight, and heal a lot depending on your med stats. I think mine heal 40 at a time. While you won't need them once you get the "black" item from Operation Anchorage, you can sell them back to Vance. What a guy. 3rd shishkabob schematic, you can steal his awesome sword, and sell him blood packs. I still love visiting Brailey because she makes such deliscious chocolate chip cookies. Hey man nice screens!!!

I think all he will tell you is, "You took what was rightfully mine" With no other dialog option other than the usual negative, fuck off, leave me alone, etc. type of thing. This is similar to a failed speech check, with no more speech options available. NOTE: The game has been patched so that Pappy can no longer give infinite karma, for the speech check on the subject of his relationship with the mega hottie Bittercup. I used to use that against him a few years ago, but no longer.....still she is a sweet piece of goth idiocy. Always go for the relationship option with her so you can return to Bigtown for her gifts. Includes Nuka Colas. On that note, here's a tip for a goody two shoes good karma player in Megaton. The gift bringer can give stimpacks, bottle caps, food, and ammo. That is nothing to laugh at if you are trying to survive.....

If you do OA before completing Crowley's quest, then you have the Winterized T-51B Armor. This is of course, after starting it. You have the T-51B Winterized, and his in-game reaction is: "You took from me what was rightfully mine" - even if you have not gathered the regular T-51B from Constantine. A couple years ago I learned to get [speech] all the keys first, then plot out the Tenpenny plan for the ghouls. Do the ghoul take over, with the mask, loot Tenpenny for all the vendor keys, and take Tenpenny's remains to Crowley. He will accept 3 keys and Tenpenny's death and head for Constantine. Kill him, and go ahead and fast travel to Constantine. Get the T-51B, and *then* do the Operat6ion Anchorage to avoid the problem. That's if you want to complete that mission. If you don't care, just do the DLC first and you won't have/complete Crowley's mission.

Naw, just sold me old laser rifle. it was having a hard time finding ammo for it. but now I've bin to rivet city I can buy them pretty easy. I'm waiting to kill another enclave soldier so I can snatch his. The Xuanlong? Or the standard Chinese Assault Rifle.....either way looking good man! It's the Xuanlong Carrying around a heavy ass mini-gun is a pain in the ass. I plan on using heavy armor too, should have put more stats in strength. When the fuck will I be able to do the heavy armor training? and what are you talking about, the price of gun repairs goes up? Nice work getting the Xuanlong Assault Rifle. The *skill* of repair people can go up. Yours as well, obviously. You're not concerned with the cost, just their skill. If it is not as good as your own, don't pay. But, they may have the parts and the skill, then you want to pay. Bottom line, you want the repair skill yourself. In one of the DLC's there is a guy who can be maxed at repair skill. (Haley in Point Lookout) Here's a trick, if you have the GOTY, or all the DLC's loaded on one PC game load. You get Power Armor training by the Brotherhood of Steel following the main storyline. You must wait until after you gain access to the Citadel to get Power Armor training, normal game play. BUT - You can get it faster by doing the first DLC, called "Operation Anchorage"... This will kill a few main Fallout 3 side quests though, such as "You Gotta Shoot 'Em in the Head" as well as the BOS will not need to train you in Power Armor because you already have it. Word to the wise, if you are playing on easy or normal, wait until about Level 10 before going for it. Operation: Anchorage will allow you to wear Power Armor early in the game, as well as giving you the most awesome Chinese Stealth Armor as a reward. You will also get a few other rare weapons as rewards. Also there is a perk for gathering all of the intel similar to Call of Duty. Look to the Wiki or any other guide, to find all of the intel in Operation :Anchorage and get that perk, it's always valuable to get a perk in Fallout 3. Remember you want to be at a certain level before doing the first DLC. It's a sim, and if you get killed in the sim, you get killed in the game. I think I've heard of players here at this forum doing it as early as level 9. Read the Wiki on Mr.Crowley's Mission, "You Gotta Shoot 'Em In The Head" and if you are comfortable with blowing that off, then go for Operation:Anchorage. [He thinks you stole what was his, because you recieved the Winterized T-51B Armor, which means the regular T-51B armor from Fort Constantine to him.] What I normally do is as much of Crowley's mission as possible, then go for the DLC early. That way I get the mission credit and then I go for the DLC, just so I have power armor training and the very very very valuable Chinese Stealth Armor. It's like Stealth Boys but they don't expire! Just staying crouched keeps the stealth field active. It's up to you to have a stealth skill to back it.

Took me a few games to realize this, but once you get with Uncle Roe in Canterbury, the 2nd option of management is what drives up the vendors' repair levels so high. There is the first level of investment in Doc Hoff, Lucky Harith, Crow, and Crazy Wolfgang. That is what gets you their gifts next time they see you. But if you talk to Uncle Roe on the next level of investment, that is what drives up the vendors' humongous repair abilities, around 17%. I never go past that level anymore, it's like 100 caps first, then 350 caps second, with the speech checks. (Without speech it's like 200 caps then 500 caps) Moira - Gotta hate her, except she gives the most valuable side mission in the game. Kind of why I always take the repair level ups, I hate not being able to do it myself. I remember always lugging 5 Vault 101 Security Armor outfits to Megaton because I can't repair... Thanks goodness for Haley in Point Lookout - The glitch that drives him up to 100% repair, still works! Thanks for manning up on that one bOnEs, I always thought you got a perfect score!!! I like looking at the Wiki for things like that, to save time. Sometimes they have the data we need.

The Xuanlong? Or the standard Chinese Assault Rifle.....either way looking good man! I think it was bOnEs who first mastered the code of Prime in the Museum of Technology. If that is the Xuanlong you have, great job. If not, the special version can be had through a side quest at the Tech Museum. Very tricky, I failed it my first time. Worth the work though. I balanced my Chinese Assault Rifles for Pronto in Paradise Falls, and repair for the Xuanlong.

    Fallout

DO: Always good to go through a game first like bOnEs said, so you can learn. Stealing is easy, red for "don't" and green for "ok"...but keep in mind there is plenty (and I mean plenty) of looting to provide you with things to sell, and use. Some places will have so much junk it can fund your next move. New to the game, a good place to start is Springvale Elementary School. Loads of fun. About energy, I still end up with 100% energy weapon skill, due to the fact that the Tesla books are everywhere. Plus in current game upped intel by one adding over all skill to each. Again the skill books are piling up like a collection of trophies. This time I am trying to organize them on my book case in the Megaton house but it's surprisingly hard to stack them. Think I will try stashing the collection at my Tenpenny Tower Suite. (Yes, I have both) About the Wiki, note that they will sometimes "dumb-down" issues. For example when I found the un-marked location called Musty Cave, I found a ton of good loot, including darts, like at least 30. The Wiki guys blow it off to "various unusable low money items"...but if you are a scaver, and especially new to the game, take what they say with a grain of salt. There is a lot of shit to be had in this game. I am on day 2 of looting the Enclave Mobile Crawler in my Chinese Stealth Armor. There is like $20,000 worth of stuff in there, including rare weaponry. Once the "storyline" is completed, I won't have access to that goodness. It's easy to play the main storyline, but keep your eyes open and be careful. Something you ignore or throw away could be golden down the road. Speech is *really* important for getting things done in Fallout. Lockpick will take you places as well. If you like stealth, don't throw out radscorp stingers, or toy cars for example. You'll see why later. Read my write up for Cyantist page back, it's how to get 100% skill sets.
