  1. I'm picking up new Vegas: ultimate edition for ps3 as we speak. The 360 nv never gave me any grief, so hopefully this turns out to be better than the skyrim ps3 experience. I'll be back in nv in a few hours. I can't wait.
  2. I hope one day an official full concert from the Bad tour is released on Blu-ray. I think MJ was at his best live at that time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kq8N-EVf1Gg
  3. I got to see him live on the History tour. It was very impressive. Whilst I don't listen to him quite as much as I once did, I still enjoy hearing his music when I come across it. Except for that album that came out after he died. That was mostly shit, and I'm pretty sure he would agree.
  4. Fucking Sony, you inept gimps! The following rant only applies to the Australian PSN store. I've recently started using my PS3 online, and I bought GTAIV recently (even though I've had it and EFLC on 360 for ages), so that I could download the DLC and finally experience the full version with all the music on the stations and stuff. I went to buy the DLC, the store was down. No problem. I waited until today and it was up again. I looked up GTA in the store. "oh look, there's LATD. It's AUD$15.95". I was happy with that. Then I scrolled down to BOGT "27.95, the fuck?". I was seriously considering taking the game back, but considering I only paid $18 for it, and I like the full experience, I perservered. Even though I could pay and beat to death a real hooker for the price of those 2 individual DLC put together. So I scrolled down in my sadness to see what crappy avatars I could buy with my $33 dollars of credit, when I noticed the "GTA Episodes bundle" for $29.95. Awesome! I opened it up, clicked download, and didn't read the shit on the side, as it just looked like another game description. Once both games were downloaded, I started up GTAIV. It went straight to the last game I played. I checked the menu, tried new game, and just got Niko getting off the boat. I quit the game, checked that the DLC was installed, restarted the game. Nothing. So I checked around the interwebs as one does, and noticed other Aussies had the same problem. I checked that 'game description' I didn't read, and it said that the DLC was only compatiable with the BLES-00229 version of GTA IV (the european version). Being an Australian, who bought the Australian version of GTAIV, I just assumed that any DLC on the Australian PSN store would only work with Australian games. Silly me. And it turns out that the indiviual DLC that was too expensive for me to buy DOES work with the Australian version. *smh* Wishing to inform the PSN staff of this oversight, and hoping for a refund, I sent a nicely worded email to their support staff from the Official Playstion website (it had eu in the URL as well). Feeling at least content that I might get a refund, I get an email back saying something along the lines of "your request has been received. Please note that we only handle problems from American customers. If you are outside of America, please go to this link for help". Even though there was no mention of this on the page I sent the message from. So after wasting 5 minutes of my life typing a message to some cunt who's going to think I'm some Australian moron who hunts Drop Bears for a living, I found the shithouse Australian Playstation website. Which doesn't have any online support to speak of, apart from some forum that is full of "COD is better than BF3, lol" topics. I have to literally ring some twat who's probably in India to try and at least get my money back. I absolutly DETEST speaking to support people over the phone. And what if I was deaf? Oh well, I still have Skyrim. Oh wait, that freezes all the time on the PS3, doesn't it? P.S I hate XBOX live equally, if not more so.
  5. The Playstation store has been "undergoing maintenance". For the past 16 hours. After I just bought a $30 card to spend there yesterday. What a load of shite. Hopefully it's a bit more user friendly when it reopens.
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBJJGmRQXBc&feature=related The chorus sounds like he is saying FUS RO DAH! It's not a bad song, either.
  7. Yeah, it's my favourite location in the game, just ahead of Labyrinthian. It's bloody huge, has an eerie feel to it, and it even has its own dragon. Who knows how it got in there. It was probably the only major location I'd never heard about before I got there. It's a pity there aren't many quests tied to it.
  8. hmm, there were quite a few definitions for 'Handsome', the following being my favourite. 7. handsome If two people having sex is a twosome, three people, a threesome, four people, a foursome... To be handsome is to be lonely. person 1: do you ever see David with a girl? person 2: no, he's so handsome
  9. I'll have to give this a try next time I come across a drawbridge.
  10. http://www.zazzle.com.au/fallout_3_iphone_4_4s_case-179911592720468716 http://www.zazzle.com.au/enclave_iphone_case-179621289817284505 Almost makes me want to buy an Iphone.
  11. Yeah. If you want the mp3 of it, chek out his site. http://www.shredguitareric.com/ The Skyrim cover is actually one of his least impressive efforts. Check out his cover of wham's "Careless Whisper" I love this one
  12. ^lmao, that pretty much sums up the whole civil war quest series. It was pretty tedious.
  13. ^Serial? That's pretty awesome. I don't know if the following video has been posted here or in the Skyrim topic or at all, but I'll post it because it's awesome.
  14. I finally finished the main quest (and downloaded the update, lol). Tbh,it wasn't that epic. I enjoyed the College Of Winterhold questline a lot more. My level 33 high elf is now on her quest to master Five Magics (see what I did there). I'm at 92 conjuration, 77 Destruction, 50 Restoration, 37 Alteration, and 37 illusion, so clearly I've got a while to go yet. Also, she's kicking it with Zombie Ulfric Stormclock in a loin cloth atm. I love the Dead Thrall spell. Edit: I just fast travelled with Ulfric, and now his got all his clothing back. WTF???
  15. True. Im not missing out concert wise. If they even bothered to come to Canada, tickets would prolly be $1000 And Ozzy's voice would probably sound like shit, too.
  16. Yay! I finally made it through Labyrinthian. I remember when I first passed it after clearing Shearpoint, and thinking "fuck that, I'm out of here" when I saw the numerous frost trolls patrolling the place. Morokei is a cheap bastard.
  17. Black Sabbath are still going to continue recording their new material, but Iommi will be doing his bits from the UK now. I can't imagine a tour will be likely, though.
  18. Oh dear, Tony Iommi has been diagnosed with the early stages of Lymphoma (a cancer that forms in the Lymphatic system, oddly enough). Hopefully things work out for him, and he doesn't go the way of Dio
  19. Having played Skyrim for the last week as a High Elf and Khajiit, I sort of wish Bethesda had added slightly greater differences in story for the non-human races. In no particular order, here are my "issues". 1. Why can't my High Elf join the Thalmor, or at least co-operate with them? Couldn't Beth have added one side quest where you had to steal plans from an Imperial camp in return for money/unique weapon/follower etc. 2. Why is my Khajiit allowed to walk freely in the towns of Skyrim when they are supposed to be banned from entering? Beth could have (once again) added a side quest similar to becoming Orc Kin, where you had to help a town's Jarl clear out a location or recover a lost weapon. Also, Khajiit should get extra discounts when buying from Khajiit caravans. It just seems weird that simple things like that weren't thought of. Bethesda doesn't care about Cat people! Anyway, I had another awesome moment yesterday. Being a bit bored, I cast fury on that dickhead racist brother in Falkreath (can't remember his name), who proceeded to attack me. I got a bounty, and some guards entered the house. For some reason, the racist brother's umm... brother attacked him and put his dagger through his spine. Meanwhile, as I was marvelling at that, I was being butt pounded by the guards, so I decided to leg it. As I was making my way out of Falkreath, a dragon attacked. I stood back and watched as the dragon took out a couple of guards, and started attacking me. I made short work of it, and deciding that I needed the soul more than the money, I surrendered and payed my 80 bounty. Then I stood back and waited to absorb the dragon soul. And then the game froze. Good times.
  20. I'm as serious as cancer when I say rhythm is a dancer! My theme tune is Lionel Richie's "Hello".
  21. WTF? I've only put 9 hours into my level 10 Khajiit archer thief, and the file size is already 6mb. I haven't even been to whiterun yet! My Redguard warrior took twice that time to get to that size. You know you've been playing too much Skyrim when a bird flies over you outside, and you go "oh shit, dragon!". Actually, that happens in Skyrim, too.
  22. I have the "HOO HAA" as a tone on my phone. I wet my pants with excitement and a bit of urine every time I get a message. Things with my level 10 High Elf mage are going well. I forgot how much fun it was to play without the constant framerate drops every 30 minutes.
  23. I've put 90+ hours into Skyrim, and I still find new things every time I play. Hell, I didn't even know what spell tomes did until yesterday, and I bought it on the day it came out! I think the more imagination you have in regards to what you don't see in the fallout and elder scrolls games, the more fun you will have. Oh yeah, my disappointments for 2011 Dragon Age 2 Brink Homefront Rage Star Wars: The Old Republic
  24. I'm interested to know what games people here consider the best of 2011. I made a poll of some of the big names, but if you thought something else was the ants pants, then you are WRONG, and should seek help immediately. Also, I'm listing my favourites of the genres I played. I don't play RTS games, so if you thought "Starcraft II: 2011 moar Korean people edition" was great, then by all means, add a catergory for that. My GOTY list (keeping in mind I haven't played all these games, but I have seen them all in action) Best Action/Adventure Winner: L.A Noire 2nd: Uncharted 3 3rd: Infamous 2 L.A Noire just beat out Uncharted 3 for me. Probably because it something different. Also, you could feel up corpses. I really enjoyed Infamous 2 as well. Best RPG Winner: Skyrim 2nd: Dark Souls 3rd: The Witcher 2 Derp. Best Survival Horror Winner: Shadows Of The Damned 2nd: Dead Island 3rd: Dead Space 2 I know it wasn't anyone's cup of tea going on sales, but I really enjoyed Shadows Of The Damned. The world needs more talking phallic shotguns. Best FPS Winner: Crysis 2 2nd: Bulletstorm 3rd: Resistance 3 Crysis 2 had some really awesome moments. Even Skyrim couldn't match it for "giant dude sneaking around in a kickass suit" thrills. Well, not unless you have a kickass assassin with enchanted Daedric daggers or whatever. Best Racing Sim/Sport Winner: Forza 4 2nd: FIFA 12 3rd: NHL 12 In almost every respect, Forza 4 blew GT5 out of the water. Still, it was missing a certain charm that GT5 has. FIFA 12 was solid as usual, but not a big enough improvment on 11 to win. Best Fighter Winner: Mortaaaaaaaaaaal Kommmmmmbat 2nd: Marvel vs Capcom 3 3rd: I don't play enough fighting games to warrant a third, I'm afraid. Despite being banned in Australia, I managed to put many hours into MK at a friend's place earlier this year. Much fun was had by all. Worst Game Of 2011 Duke Nukem Forever Was piss. Overall GOTY 5th Mortal Kombat 4th Crysis 2 3rd Uncharted 3 2nd L.A Noire WINNER Call Of Du... I mean, SKYRIM!!!
  25. Yeah, I fininshed it weeks ago. Twas fun. Anyone else found Lucky Lorenz yet? I stumbled upon him when I got swept over a waterfall. I lol'd.
