  1. El Paso isnt a Spanish city, it's in the US. He means city with Spanish names, irregardless of the actual country. i.e. (using actual cities in Southern California) Los Angeles = 'The Angels' Santa Barbara = Saint Barbara El Cajon = The Drawer etc.
  2. IV never game you a reason for it tbh. The bridges were closed, yes. I can see why you would get a wanted level for trying to cross the closed bridge. But when you swam to Algonquin far away from any of the bridges you still got it. Maybe there will be a problem with flooding in the LS river and you can't cross it. Of maybe there's a problem with a freeway overpass and that blocks off the roads going to another section of town. I dunno.
  3. Well well well, our protagonist will be able to swim (shut up, of course he will) so what could possibly stop us from crossing a river to see the other side before we're allowed to? Maybe an oil slick caused by an earthquake caused the local authoritAy to put in one of those inflatable barriers? Oh, hang on no, that would'nt/shouldn't work because it would do nothing to contain an oil slick. Nothing stopped Niko from swimming either. It's the massive wanted level that keeps you from enjoying the new area though, @Vice, 'Puarta' was a copy/paste job from Dups post. Therefore I blame him.
  4. I'm still holding out hope that Los Puarta = San Diego. The trailer has I-5 being the Los Puarta Freeway, and in r/l I-5 is the San Diego Freeway.
  5. I would like to point out that Hollywood isn't in the middle of the mountains in the countryside outside of town. Just FYI.
  6. Hair, tats, and clothing is all I really need. Weight and muscle building I can do with or without.
  7. Here's the original source. It all sounds very nice, and certainly plausible but...its just way too detailed to be all from just one 30 minute video. Basically I'll take it with a whole shaker of salt.
  8. .......already have a topic for this. Anyway 5/24/12 is a Thursday. Games come out on Tuesday.
  9. Ok, this is the last time, then I'm stopping cause I don't have all day to keep repeating myself. We don't need Rockstar to hold our hand and tell us that they don't exist in the IV era. Just look around IVs Liberty City. So 'why don't they exist?' Because their world doesn't exist. IV's Liberty City is nothing like the one from III. The new Los Santos is almost nothing like the one from SA. Going over it again, in IV there was no Leone Family. There had never been a Leone family. In their place were all new Mafia families that took the same place in the world but were all new to us. The same thing goes for the new GTA V. The stories and the world of the III generation are over. They had a good long run but it was time to start from scratch in order to tell new stories with new people. We don't need them anymore.
  10. Well, I-5 is known as the 'San Diego Freeway' from San Diego to Los Angeles, so that's a good possibility!
  11. Dan Houser: "virtually none of the characters from the previous games returned, as a lot of them are dead anyway." virtually (adv) - 1: almost entirely - 2: for all practical purposes They aren't coming back. Just looking at IV shows you that in this universe of GTA games they never existed. You don't need Rockstar to tell you that, you only need to look at the game itself. And for that matter in the universe where they did most of them are dead. Besides, like Ast said, their stories are over. They were epic and exciting, but we've reached the end of their narrative, and to try and messily add on to it now would only serve to degrade it.
  12. Allow me to rephrase, Lazlow isn't an actual character per se. Hes one of the main production guys creating almost every radio station since III. Young Maylay or Ray Liotta were hired to voice a character that actually appeared in the game's world as someone you could play as or interact with. When they created IV they hit the reset button on the entire GTA universe, basically deleting almost every event and all of the people the older games were set around, but leaving in Lazlow (who helps make the games) and their fictitious companies like Sprunk and the Bank of Liberty. In IV's Liberty City, the Forelli Family and the Leone Family never existed. Delete GTA III. There would be no Sonny Forelli to send Tommy to Vice City. Delete Vice City. There would be no Leones trying to take complete control of the casino in San Andreas, or basically the entire last 3rd of the game's plot. Also no Joey Leone for CJ to work for back in Liberty City in the late 80s/early 90s. Delete San Andreas. Face it, we've started over.
  13. "Delivery: Estimated between Mon. Nov. 7 and Tue. Nov. 8" Stupid bastard, the game comes out on the 8th.
  14. Lazlow IS Grand Theft Auto Radio, in and of himself. He's not going anywhere. He wrote Chatterbox in III Co-wrote all the stations in Vice, San Andreas and IV And he appeared in Liberty City & Vice City Stories.
  15. Why couldn't the old gangs exist? The Crips and Surenos have been active for over 50 years, and the Bloods 40... It's only been 20 years since San Andreas, so what's ruling out these gangs from still existing? Obviously not with Sweet and CJ, but a new generation, possibly with a mention of "OG Carl Johnson" More or less it would be the same reason that Liberty City in III and Liberty City in IV had different gangs and Mafia families. For that reason I think they'll have new gang names that fill the same slot, but start over from a storyline perspective.
  16. Well Ontario has an INT airport and it's WAY closer than San Diego. I wonder if there will be suburbs rather than LS surrounded by immediate countryside in SA. Ontario is so close to LA that its practically a suburb. I'd like a city that would be on the other side of the country side, not an airport of the other side of town.
  17. Which is also funny because outside of missions he has no problem taking the window-washing platform to the top of the Grand Central Station Hyatt Hotel and sniping ped and cops. Makes him look schizophrenic. Tisk, tisk, tisk.
  18. ಠ_ಠ Too soon. We just got the first V trailer yesterday!
  19. Well they mentioned South California, if it was pretty much just LA i doubt they would have mentioned it, San Diego I believe is pretty likely. Ya, San Diego is due south from LA on I-5, which just so happens to be the Interstate number used in the trailer? Coincidence? I hope not.
  20. With the planes in there has to be at least two airports, otherwise whats the point? What I'm hoping for is a good medium-sized city on the other side of the map from Los Santos. Something like San Diego would be perfect.
  21. Welcome to igta5.com! Enjoy your stay! Now back on topic plz. kthxbai What are you talking about haha? I'm pretty sure I've been here longer than you (if not the same amount of time) I'm talking about the old sites btw lol To be fair I was welcoming you to this site, not gta-sanandreas.com or something.
  22. Looks like a guy to me tbh...but it could be I suppose.
  23. From what I can tell with San Andreas they announced the games name on March 1st, gave 3 screens on May 11th at E3 04', and reveled you would play as CJ, who would be "forced on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas." So the first real info about the game told you it was more then one city.
