    I dunno if it's the building the pic you're talking about, but the U.S. Bank Tower is in the game. -EDIT- Jesus H Christ on a pogo stick, that is not Packie. That guy has to be in his 50s, at least.

    They say 'LIBERTY CITY STATE' (at the bottom) It's clear that they're keeping the state name of San Andreas, even if they aren't recreating the entire state. And, of course, the state name always goes on the license plates.

    idk.....he said he "moved here for the weather" well if it was Tommy V it wouldn't make much sense. Vice City was set in Florida now he wants to move to Cali because of the weather?!? lol is about the same weather both has beaches,no snow,not very cold weather... Well as they say, it never rains in southern San Andreas.

    The Southern California thing is what I'm talking about. Los Santos is the focus of the map, and outside of town is San Diego or something. Just not San Fierro or Las Venturas sadly.

    Here's what I'm thinking: A huge part of the map for the "largest and most ambitious game Rockstar has yet created" will be the city of Los Santos. Outside of town will be the countryside and such. But also San Andreas style small towns. I'm thinking there will be at least one smaller city in the game map....something like San Diego or Santa Barbara. Basically a city like San Diego would work best, it's large enough for an airport but much smaller then Los Angeles.

    Well, you only see the dong once in the whole trailer, but they made a point of showing off the planes again...and again...and again. Different types, different places, different activities. They simply showed off those planes way too much for them to be non-interactive.

    I'm thinking that different clips in the trailer were made at different points in the game's production. Like maybe they've changed the image they'll be using on the license plates, but still used video from before the change. -EDIT- I stand corrected. Looks like California has several types of license plates, and the 2 seen in the trailer match 2 of the real California plates.

    Well of course it takes place during the recession. If it's modern then the recession would have to be involved in some form.

    No. No, no, no....no....no. And furthermore: no. This game has nothing to do with any of the GTA III era characters. Vercetti was never from the IV Liberty City, and CJ never lived in the V version of Los Santos. Rockstar has started over. Besides that, Vercetti would be how old by now? He'd be 60. Also Victor Vance is dead.

I figure there will have to be at least one more city for planes to be really practical, after all whats the point of planes in a game if there is only one place on the map to take off and land. And to whoever said the golf course was in San Fierro, its not. You can see the Los Santos skyline from it.

    Unfortunately that would take extreme planning and the shops would be getting deliveries a week in advance etc which clearly hasn't happened. Shop employees will leak anything they can for a bit of internet publicity. The retards. God bless 'em, every one.

    Ya, I used to love flying jets all around San Andreas. Could never actually land the damn things mind you, usually just parachuted out and let the damn thing crash.

    Oh god, bait cars. God forbid. That would be the last thing I would want while fucking around in a GTA game. Now as part of a specific mission where you're tasked with stealing a certain number of cars and one of them happens to be a bait car, then yes. But not as part of the general car population.

    Meh, I don't trust any 'unnamed sources' that may or may not have been pull out of their ass. Basically anyone who says that know where its taking place doesn't, and is only giving you where they want it to take place. Nothing more, nothing less.
