  1. Good luck and don't get electrocuted. Hopefully you can get it sorted out, otherwise we'll have to air mail Qd to your house to fix it.
  2. A few shots: DiO Selfie, with Weev and DiO Babe-alicious, Weev, DiO, and Fanboy on the smoking bike #shiner - had this black eye pretty much all night. A few PS4 shares: Got in a couple of playlists - we did some 4-person jobs, tried DiO's and Dup's new jobs, fucked around with vans and crew blue vehicles and combined crew blue with other colours, with various degrees of success. DiO sang a lot tonight. We missed you, Dup. You too, BMX (though a break is completely understandable). Glad bOnEs joined us for a bit too. And Weev is back. back again

    Just Cause

I picked up a used copy of Just Cause 3 (same time as I got AC: Syndicate). Apparently grappling hooks are all the rage! Really loving this so far, it's like a reboot of JC2, much of it feels familiar, and the Medici citizens sound less annoying than Panau. They've improved the options on the grappling hook, and you now have a wingsuit in addition to the parachute. The map feels vast again from what I've explored so far. Gameplay is pretty repetitive but also fun to experience. I'm pretty terrible at using the wingsuit so far, will have to get more used to using it without face planting into a boulder. It also gives you the option to destroy things without bullets or explosives, by using only the grappling hook's dual-tethering & retraction system (e.g. tether a statue to an explosive barrel, then retract for a boom on impact), so I'm going to see if I can start using that more often and try going bullet-free altogether for the lulz. I still think the grappling hook/parachute combo is the best way to travel through a game world, out of any game I've ever played. It's better than flying or driving anywhere. And the scenery in this game map is gorgeous.
  4. I picked up Syndicate a couple of weekends ago, found a secondhand copy for a song. I've probably worked my way through 3/4 of the map now. Gameplay is what you'd expect from an AC game. I really like creeping around London, the era is gritty and smoky and well done. I always like looking for the buildings from the game when watching current movies and TV shows. It's fun switching between Jacob and Evie, although I haven't really noticed much difference between the two; she's supposed to be more stealthy and he's supposed to be better at brawling. I usually try going in like a ninja and end up fighting my way out. There are main storyline missions that you have to do as one or the other, I've been focusing on clearing the map and will work my way through the main story afterwards. As a general observation...I'm surprised there aren't many soldiers on the rooftops as before - perhaps they didn't want to clutter up the rooftops with unrealistic hiding places this time around? - but this time you only have to worry about enemies on rooftops in their own camps or if you're being pursued, since they will chase you up there. The grappling hook has made short work of getting to a rooftop quickly. Glad I didn't pay full price for all the bells and whistles but it's a worthy entry in the series.
  5. Can't wait to try Dup's Pac-Man job, the overhead shot he shared looks super cool.
  6. Yup, I had to browse to your profile to see the pic.
  7. Thanks, that song will be on repeat in my head until Tuesday.
  8. You have to go to your profile page and "Write a public message on your own feed..." for a status update to show up on the main page.
  9. So...frumpy pantsuit (usually red or blue) and coiffed helmet hair. I can do that. I'll be the chick running opposite Jock Cranley, you know, what's-her-name.
  10. In other words...apocalypse night again? Yeah, that would be fun. Who wants to be the orange Cheetoh?
  11. We did something similar last Cinco de Mayo night...but could stage something again. Is there a good wall somewhere we could borrow?
  12. It's a two-way highway. He gets to eat my cooking and baking the rest of the week.
  13. My man is completely used to crew night routine now, I get home from work, give him a smooch, pet the kitties, change into comfy clothes and pretty much disappear into gaming mode. He even brings me food.
  14. Got stuck at work cleaning up someone else's mess. Just heading home now, should be there in time but might be a bit late signing in.
  15. Here's the list from Yan on Twitter, as reference for possible release dates:
  16. A friend of ours keeps chickens, and gave us a carton of 18 eggs. My man is allergic to eggs. Tomorrow is Halloween, and we're having a potluck at work. Conveniently, I have many eggs to get rid of. TL:DR I'm making radioactive lemon squares. I also found jet black fondant, so I'm going to make little symbols to put on top of each bright green lemon square. If that doesn't work I can make the symbols out of chocolate, we'll see. There are extra egg whites leftover from the squares, so I'm also doing little ghost meringue cookies. Pretty fun. Will post pics when they're complete.
  17. Trick or Treat (me, R2D2 the flasher, and bOnEs) Time to kiss your ass goodbye SO CLOSE...and yet, so terribly far Dupenstein, Pumpkingrl, Navahoe, bOnEs-babealicious and Riff Raff (bmx )
  18. Speaking of the movie...here's trailer #2 from a few days ago:
  19. It was a happy accident, but I was a bit cranky about the momentum interruptus, we were rolling with my MC doing contact missions and it kind of took the air out of the flow. R2D2 was drooling over the fact that it's a black bag, he has a couple saved with a green and a gray one (I think).
  20. I was MC president and accidentally, clumsily, pressed too many buttons on my phone and (I believe) launched a heist by accident. I backed out right away and it dumped me in a public lobby. The bag appeared upon spawning. Not bad for not even trying!
  21. At the beginning of the night, when it was only me and DiO, before we canned the theme for the night: Truth joined at the end there. We did a playlist and did some MC work. And I somehow ended up with a duffel bag (for the first time!) on my biker outfit: ^That's with R2D2, Kuz and DiO. It happened after I spawned into a public washroom lobby, managed to save it even though I got merked within seconds. I have a screenshot of getting shot in the back with it on. It seems to disappear when you go through any loading screen (job/exit garage) but I can reset it by putting the saved outfit back on.

  23. From Wikipedia: Outside the British Islands[edit] The bowler hat is a traditional part of womenswear among the Quechua andAymara peoples of South America. The bowler, not the cowboy hat or sombrero, was the most popular hat in the American West, prompting Lucius Beebe to call it "the hat that won the West".[9] Both cowboys and railroad workers preferred the hat because it would not blow off easily in strong wind while riding a horse, or when sticking one's head out the window of a speeding train. It was worn by both lawmen and outlaws, including Bat Masterson, Butch Cassidy, Black Bart, and Billy the Kid. In America the hat came to be known commonly as the derby,[4] and American outlaw Marion Hedgepeth was commonly referred to as "the Derby Kid". In South America, the bowler, known as bombĂn in Spanish, has been worn by Quechua and Aymara women since the 1920s, when it was introduced to Bolivia by British railway workers. For many years, a factory in Italy manufactured such hats for the Bolivian market, but they are now made locally.[10]
