  1. I'm pretty sure Game Informer will tell us plenty about the story and what's going on. The 2nd trailer will definitely expand on the story.
  2. Those sneaky bastards at Rockstar wait until the day seems over to drop a bomb like this.
  3. The only thing the artwork showed that may be useful is the beach almost wrapping around the pier. It may just be for the artwork but up past Santa Monica the land does go west towards the ocean (Malibu area). Less extreme in real life but we all know Rockstar is squeazing things together. Aside from that we really can't judge the buildings too much since they are just silhouettes. I think they'll announce the trailer Wednesday and release it Friday. That's my guess. Unless the trailer is supposed to set up the Game Informer article in which case it'll release Wednesday.
  4. First one maybe. Second one is kind of generic. Maybe Game Informer will fill in some details about each artwork.
  5. I was thinking about that Wilshire Christian Church a bit ago but wasn't sure how the city in that area was compacted. I should have just went with it. Good work with the others too. More stuff to update.
  6. LA is a tourist area so I would expect novelty things like these. As we can see, the picture viewers are like postcards.
  7. If it has to do with main story multiplayer perhaps instead of a friend playing co-op to help you, they can play the enemy side. This drags in the multi-protagonist theories but where you can pick which side to play as (good or bad, if that's even a difference). A friend can then play the other side against you. On the other hand that would really complicate story progression and I'm not sure Rockstar would want the story to get too crazy since they like to have a somewhat straight forward story about what happens.
  8. Interesting information about the Santa Monica Pier is interesting: http://en.wikipedia....nta_Monica_Pier So maybe Rockstar wanted to either: use an old/former name of the Santa Monica Pier and decided to change it completely or they will use both names to represent the two conjoined piers. I think they will stick with Del Perro Pier for the whole thing.
  9. For anyone interested: (approximate, I tried comparing daylight pics to pinpoint it but it may be off by a block.)
  10. Of course but that's the foreground. With everything from real life squashed together things are much more close in LS than LA which is why Koreatown is right down the road from Venice in GTA V.
  11. I don't think the trailer was in danger of being wiped at all. R* HQ is in charge of marketing so that's where most of the stuff we see comes from. Even if the trailer was done (I'll bet plenty of money they work on it until the release just like thier games) the computer/server it's stored on may not have been accessible due to the blackout. On top of that the people whose job it is to update the site and social media outlets may not have been able to do so with the blackout either. I know a lot of them live in the NYC area for obvious reasons so their own homes may have been without power too.
  12. Next person to bring it up gets 24 hours off. How's that?
  13. Might have located some things in the Vespucci Canal pic: 5900 Wilshire on the left and possibly the La Brea Tar pits or a part of the Museum of Art in the middle. That one thing definitely looks like a sculpture of sorts.
  14. Awesome. I figured better quality ones would make their way online. Can update the front page pic later.
  15. So if Grapeseed is where I think it is, it's northeast of Los Santos. Opposite side of the mountains that create the basin the city sits in.
  16. You know what? That's a pretty fucking good match. Good eye.
  17. I don't see socks but it's definitely a close match for the guy himself.
  18. I think Rockstar knows people will leak out whatever they can - especially at retailers since Rockstar themselves can't control the employees. They aren't leaking things on purpose or being "forced" to say something. Rockstar has a schedule and need to ship items to retailers beforehand so of course people are going to take advantage and post things earlier than they are supposed to. Rockstar finally said something because that's when they planned to. Probably build some hype before tomorrow's apparently planned trailer.
