http://www.rockstarg...pring-2013.html Today, we're proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto V is expected to launch worldwide spring 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Developed by series creator Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V takes place in a re-imagined, present-day Southern California in the largest and most thriving game-world we have ever created set in the sprawling city of Los Santos and for miles beyond – from the tops of the mountains to the depths of the ocean. Starting next week November 5, 2012, Grand Theft Auto V will become available for pre-order everywhere and fans can expect a host of new information to become available in November. Look for downloadable desktop versions of the brand new artwork above coming very soon.

yea, the combat is tough to figure out, but that could also be an issue with the 1st few chapters... anyone who plays it will understand, plus the game is slowly introducing you to combat... i think i will have it figured out in a couple more chapters, or once i get to the meat of the story... a lot of the controls carry over from previous games, but combat has switched up a little, and firing a gun is still tricky for me, but i think i figured out how to shoot properly, i stumbled upon that last night before i went to bed...

GTA V Promotional Items
CaPn bOnEs replied to Asthenia's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
this is a much better looking leak than that last one, the poster is one of those retail pre-order boxes, and it's from a real gaming retailer this time... but i still can't figure why there's a PEGI 18 rating already... -
we've had violent winds here, up to 50 MPH... i haven't gone anywhere, nor will i since i have AC3, but i bet there's a lot of downed trees and stuff... this wind is pretty strong, and it's from the front of that massive hurricane, the wind is whipping straight south, kinda unusual as wind usually is traveling NE...

almost done with sequence two, synced up about a half-dozen viewpoints and completed a couple sidequest-thingys... trying to get used to the combat though, it's a little different than previous games... and it's harder to ditch 'em too, unless i am still not getting a grasp of evading... but when i get that chain kill combo, i took out a dozen men no sweat... that'll teach those stupid brits not to chase me all the way across the city... i'm purdy tired dough, 'bout ta hit tha sack...

installing the animus... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... initializing the animus... ... ... ... ... ... . animus online...

i heard that photo of the statue of liberty was fake... but the crane pic is real... also, it looks more like independence day than day after tomorrow... i see i giant spaceship entering the atmosphere...

i will play it till 3 or 4 in the morning, getting a good grasp on the controls and mechanics... then get up 5-6 hours later and game into the late evening... then get up and do the same thing the next day until i have to be to work at 6... so i got roughly 2 whole days straight to play this... not gonna have it beat by then because i am a slow gamer, but i should be quite far along in the world... i am gonna take my time to work on side-quests as often as i can, especially the sea exploration as that is what i really want to play... with the last two AC's i didn't have that luxury because i was renting them... i'll finally get the chance to stop and smell the roses every now and then... or kill a mason who stopped to smell the roses...

none of my close friends are avid gamers, so i got no one to stand in line with... talking with other gamers is nice, but i haven't had a good experience except for the time i went to the GTA4 launch... i stood next to a trio of black guys who were cracking me up the whole time...
-
at least for GTA5, i'll have a few friends to stand in line with me, then it wouldn't be bad... but either way, they're so quick about getting us in and out at midnight that it doesn't matter if you're at the back of the line, you might only wait 10 minutes tops to get in and get out...
-
11:45... i am gonaa pay it off tonight after work, then show up a few minutes before midnight... standing there is usually boring for me so i am trying to plan it out to where i have to do minimal standing around... if i got there a little bit earlier, i'd only save myself 5 minutes tops... they get you in and out of there at midnight, i can wait a few more minutes at the back of the line this time... might miss out on free swag though, but i don't care...

we won our division, the goal of every team, every year... plus, the regular season doesn't matter in the playoffs, the reset button is hit, teams with lesser records win all the time... the thing that pissed me off the most is the yankees completely falling apart against us... which gave us an entire week off, and for a sport where you play everyday, it's hard to get back into rhythm with a layoff like that... i bet the orioles would of won a couple games... instead, the giants roll into the world series, fresh off a 5 and 7 game series, and stay in rhythm... kudos to them though, they attacked us relentlessly... but leave it to the yankees to give us our best and worst moments of the playoffs...
-
looks like i am going to the midnight release of assassins creed ...
-
if the tigers lose, i will be there too... or if we do win tonight and play another tomorrow, it's over at a decent time... otherwise i will be at gamestop the minute they open on tuesday to pick up my copy... i have tuesday and wednesday off to play it and do a couple other things...

i'm not watching that... i'll get to see plenty of ACIII in a day or two...

a little too quick to rub it in i see, young grasshopper...

Possibilities of GTA being a CO-OP game?
CaPn bOnEs replied to Qdeathstar's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
off topic, and i am wondering why we're still talking about it... if you wanna debate games & movies, head to the ET section, or rants and raves... not here in a fucking GTA co-op topic... -
fake... either the display got damaged and needed to be thrown out, or the person that put it together has no sense of how to line up the sides... the top half looks like a table if it were cut and displayed as one... and the bottom three are posters i think?? the one in the middle is slightly taller too... i mean, what the fuck is this??

this game should get me through most of the month of november... then hitman drops on the 20th or 21st... and i am also working on a new vegas file too, so i got a nice run to the end of the year for video games... if i was playing an assassin character in fallout, i'd have a trio of assassins going ...

at least he's staying upbeat about it ...

getting ready for work tonight... anyone hungry? i got some fresh meat, just chopped it up into pieces about an hour ago... also, our intestine linguini is to die for...

Possibilities of GTA being a CO-OP game?
CaPn bOnEs replied to Qdeathstar's topic in GTA 5 Pre-Release Discussion (Closed)
co-op could work in GTA5 if done right of course... yes, i want a dozen online co-op missions like the gang hideouts in RDR, and dynamic missions like "deal breaker" in GTA4... co-op should be present online and hopefully this time with a lot more than a few choices... offline co-op?? yes, it can work... only, the main protag is controlled by player 1... player 2 should be a buddy or a thug, someone that just stands around in the background during cutscenes... perhaps setting a radius zone around player 1 for player 2 to stay in is a good way to keep the overloading down, but it needs to be split screen... online story co-op missions?? same as i mentioned with offline co-op... the host of the map is the protag and the thugs are just background characters that help out the protag... it should also add extra enemies to shoot at, or chase, or be chased by... but in order to make it engaging, there should only be ONE main character... there very well could perhaps be missions that tie the two characters together, but i don't think they work together on every mission... i am getting a feeling that they're separate stories, like the episodes from liberty city were... which also adds to the "who should i play as first?" mantra... we'll see about that last one, but you never know...
