  1. Now after seeing the trailer, I hope the protagonist is max 35 years old, and the most logical characters that appear would be one of the 3 men robbing the hotel/bank in the pest control van. I rule out the guy running from the cops because the voice doesn't suit him at all.
  2. a blu-ray disk for ps3 can easily handle 4x the size of liberty city :-P Yeah i know that, but if you read the whole sentence you would realize I said XBOX. Xbox uses DVD, and DVD wouldn't be able to handle a map of such detail at such a size, and GTA has become a multi-platform game now, so it would have to be made for the weakest link (xbox) and ported to PS3.
  3. His story was good, he rose from the gutter and became a millionare through being betrayed and hard work.
  4. True dat. I would like to play as Packie as well, but rather in a Boston remake than in Los Santos.
  5. O_O But I can see what you mean, how badass would it be to walk the streets with a fucking Doberman, commanding it to kill anyone you don't like. I really, really hope animals are in the game, especially police dogs. That would be AWESOME. They included dogs in RDR, and you were able to lasso, slash and shoot them so I don't see why it can't be incorporated into GTA V.
  6. Lets hope it doesn't turn out like Final Fantasy, I dont like the sound of Grand Theft Auto XVIII
  7. Round here it means somebody's missing a pair of shoes. I suppose culture varies from Essex to Los Angeles. I dunno...that's what it means here, too, and I'm only an hour from LA. Okay let me rephrase that: "The prevailing notion that tennis shoes dangling from power lines mark the location of houses where drugs can be purchased. Or that they mark gang territories. Or that they mark the spot where gang members have been killed." That sounds like a reference to street gangs. Original Source
  8. True, maybe weight could be altered so that it's not necessary, just there if you want it. But I would like to see muscle return, I felt like a real G walking around with massive muscles beating up random peds.
  9. Some of it sounds believeable and realistic. I would say about 60% of it seems plausible. I think it's just trying to cater to what everyone wants, with some flaws to throw them off the scent of it being fake. I highly, highly, HIGHLY doubt that the city of Los Santos will be 4x the size of Liberty City, at least if it's still on Xbox. No way DVD would be able to handle that.
  10. I think I speak for everyone here - Niko had an extremely low choice in customization. All there was was three stores of dull clothing. I would like to see the customization of San Andreas back, but more detailed. Clothing: Many different varieties of clothing, such as 80s, 90s, gangster, classy, poor, rich, average, gym, swim etc... Obviously not a store for each, but definitely more than in IV, maybe with customizable colors? Weight: I would like to see this return, and be able to be fat and slow and unable to jump if you eat too much, maybe with some extra clothing options once you reach a certain level of obesity. Muscle: Ability to work out hard and achieve results, but not as easily as in San Andreas where you literally had to press some buttons repeatedly to get fully ripped. And muscle to power ratio. Tattoos: More customizable than in San Andreas, like choosing "arm" for example and moving it exactly to where you want it on the arm, with multiple tattoos allowed on each body part, along with different colored inks available. Hair: Different hairstyles, and color options for each individual hairstyle. I would also love to see customizable beards. Maybe some form of hair growth, at least in facial hair, but not too much as to turn the game into the Sims. That's just a short list of customization that I'm looking for, IDK about you guys. This is not about vehicle customization, so don't bring that up and say I missed it. What else is there? Can you add upon anything?
  11. Free roam with a similar ranking system to GTA IV, but with the ability to create a gang and rob stores/houses and commit other crimes would be badass. Silently rollin' down a driveway in Vinewood breaking and entering, stealing some expensive stuff and getting the f*ck out of there. Or 4 of you in a Cavalcade roll up to a bank, jump out complete with balaclavas and gym bags... That would be awesome.
  12. Yeah, I really don't fee like playing a 50 year old mafia boss. I want to play a young character who does the dirty work, rags to riches. From the sounds of it, the "protagonist" sounds caucasian, so I don't think it's the black guy running, but possible one of the 3 involved in the heist or driving the cars.
  13. I just thought of something. Maybe that guy looking over his balcony is "Claude" Since it's been 10 years, he is trying to get out of "that line of work" and start a new life, moving from LC to LS. He would be roughly the right age, so it's possible. However R* denied the return of GTA III Era characters, but that is very interesting.

  15. GTA is a life of crime, not the fat bastards harassing the public. Although it was funny to punch a fat cop in GTA IV and practically walk away because he is too slow to catch me. But that would be pretty fun, maybe as a minigame or if you get in a police vehicle, some vigilante mission.
  16. Yeah, the Gigantic V that comes before the 5 means nothing, right?
  17. 0:27 The wind turbine says "78". This is probably just an overload of theory, but what if 78 stands for 7/8, like how everyone thought 2405 was 24/05. 7/8/12 would make more sense because: 1. It's on a Tuesday rather than a Thursday, and Tuesday's are the day that most major games are released for whatever reason. 2. It's further away from Max Payne 3, rather than only 2 months difference it would be 5 months. Yeah, the last 2 R* games were released in May, but 2 is hardly a pattern.
  18. I just noticed something from an analysis video, as the black guy is running from the cops and helicopter you can see a pair of shoes tossed over the cables to the top right. If you don't know what that means, it's a sign of respect for a dead street gang member, maybe hinting the significance of them? It's not much, but it's something!
  19. Yeah, I agree. As everyone is mentioning, I'm sure there will be business like gangs such as the mafia and the Triads, but I am talking about STREET gangs. I can see new Latino gangs emerging, maybe the SF Rifa uniting with the Vagos after a long battle and creating a parody of The Surenos and La Eme. I definitely think there will be gangs, Hispanic and Afro-American, but if we play a 40-50 year old caucasian male I highly doubt being in one, which is a shame. But then again San Andreas was the "gang culture" game, but I wish the recreated it on the next gen consoles.
  20. Okay, GTA III Era characters are "gone". Which is a shame, it would be cool to hear Madd Dogg on the radio and pedestrian talk about the old characters, but as mentioned roughly 9 or 10 times above, GSF is gone.
  21. Why couldn't the old gangs exist? The Crips and Surenos have been active for over 50 years, and the Bloods 40... It's only been 20 years since San Andreas, so what's ruling out these gangs from still existing? Obviously not with Sweet and CJ, but a new generation, possibly with a mention of "OG Carl Johnson"
