Water didn't irradiate you in previous games though, but even with the aquaman perk I agree I still take a lot more rads, mainly from bloatflies and such. Ammo is a problem starting out, have to really think about getting into a firefight if it's worth wasting the ammo, once you get the scrounger perk though it gets easier.

I never played the Witcher 3, saw footage of it and the characters looked bland with about as much personality as a sack of potatoes. Plus the fps kept taking frequent dives, kinda like trying to navigate Boston around the North End area.
  3. Yup, but that's where we're at. Speaking of which I was just in a server with someone whose rank was 7823.

What, you phoned in? I just missed it on +1.
  5. It seems as if haxx0rs are going to deny us our christmas week once again, so I won't be able to get my Tampa. Hopefully R* make the snow last a bit longer, hoping it would be on by now.
  6. That's a lot of grinding, I just repeatedly do Trash Talk over and over using my Buzzard, that nets 22,380 or something like that. After I kill the crew at the junkyard I phone for my Peyote and drive to Vagos territory to steal a gang variant, the Vagos don't attack you, there's no police or chance of getting a bounty. After completing the mission I sell that for another 12,500ish. What easy high payers do you do? 12 million though, you must've not bought any cars from the last 5-6 DLCs.

I never bought it, I saw the disappointment coming from a mile away. I knew it would just be a house like in Skyrim. Settlements are pretty fucked by the way, apparently I have 31 people at Egret Tours. I couldn't assign supply lines to go to it from anywhere, I moved Paladin Danse out and suddenly I can assign lines from everywhere. I don't see why the population should affect your ability to send provisioners to it. I actually only have 17 people there, it never goes any higher despite having high happiness and resources. Other random gripes; No shadow in first person - WHY?! This is the only game series I can play in first person and it not feel weird, in fact I can't play it in third. I never encountered any of the level 4 vendor in the wastes, or encountered them early on in the game (like doctor Anderson) before you can build shops and never see them again. Or just the general bugginess of them (Holt Combes, never got a speech option for him to join me.) I got the vault-tec rep to go to Sanctuary in my first game (not that he actually did anything when I told him to move elsewhere,) but in my second I didn't wait after telling him to go there, I never saw him after that so i'm assuming he died somewhere travelling. The only other vendor I managed to get was Anne Hargreaves from the radio station.
  8. Faaack, 12 mil? What the hell have you been doing on there?!
  9. Take into account with the cost of the yacht; you get a helicopter and various sea craft thrown in as part of it. I'd prefer to have my buzzard on the helipad and save 3 mil on the supervolito TBH but well, i'm never getting one so it's irrelevant. Fun story, I tried parachuting onto some guy's yacht in passive and got blown out the sky... Fun.
  10. The cars look interesting, 'specially the Nightshade and Mamba, not sure about the Verlier. I'll probably save up and buy a stilt apartment just for the extra 10 garage spaces, the one on North Conker Drive has a decent exterior but as Massy said, interior is generic. Considered saving up for a custom apartment but i'll probably skip that. Apart from that the yacht isn't really my thing, plus i'm not sure how it'd work, you can move it to 12 different locations? What if there are 20+ people on a server with one? Do you have to wait in a yacht relocation queue?

I don't believe so as DC isn't a settlement you control. I haven't bothered with the house there though. The only settlements of mine that get attacked are the ones I haven't bothered doing anything with or ever go to. Abernathy Farm, Finch Farm or Greentop Nursery usually as they have some food production. I have tried to keep my defense number lower than the sum of my food, water and power just so i'll actually get things attacking me at Egret Tours, but I still don't get raiders or anything else. Super mutants and raiders often spawn on the bridge to the north but they need a bit of encouragement to come within range of my defenses, however actual attacks i've not seen any of in a long time. I mean my defense is up about 160ish but I have 200 water, 40 odd food and 50 power so I should be getting attacks, i'm not sure if the difference between the two numbers has any affect on the frequency though (as with most things in this game it's never really explained and just left up to you to work out.) Oh and also a good tip if you're early game is to give your provisioners the best weapons you can and one round, they don't use ammunition ('cept mini nukes and missiles, not sure about gauss or railway rifle rounds,) if you get caught by surprise out in the middle of nowhere they might just be close by to give you a hand, obviously the more provisioners and the longer their routes the better. But if you learn their routes to and from settlements it could help you out in a fight.

It's a shame you can't apply faction specific paints to any power armour, i'd love a Railroad X-01 or an Institute T-60.

Kinda finished building Egret Tours, it's a pretty decent location, I think I prefer it to Starlight drive-in. If you put down concrete foundations under the water you can put lots of the industrial purifiers on them, got 200 water ATM. Food I just put loads of mutfruit bushes down next to the boathouse. Several missile launchers and heavy laser turrets for defense, a nice market area all lined up similar to how I did it in Starlight and another power armour workshop on top of the main building. I built my own personal shack on top of the boathouse where I engage in lesbionics with Cait, got a nice view of the glow from the crater there at night - very romantic. Plus there's always stuff spawning on the bridge just to the north so it's not as boring as Starlight was, at least my defenses are being put to use.

Yeah bloodbugs are more terrifying than anything else; behemoths, mirelurk queens/kings, deathclaws, sentry bots, coursers, those stealth assaultrons... One time I was at gunners plaza. Took out all the gunners, the behemoth near there and several ghouls, then got taken down by a red widow bloodbug. Although i've got the action girl perk maxed in this playthrough so VATSing them is easier. I already know the answer, but is there any way to get rid of goo and ash piles? I can't believe this game has the exact same problems as NV, which was on a different fucking engine. How can you code in the same bugs twice??!

    Fallout

Lol, no worries. I'm not someone who gets butthurt, plus I didn't find it that offensive anyway. I've been bumping into lots of legendary glowing deathclaws on my travels, those fuckers are hard to take down. Guess I gotta finish maxing out the ninja perk, and better criticals too.
  17. ViceMan

    Fallout

Do deathclaws have some sort of resistance to energy weapons? I'm having a hard time killing them on this playthrough, with my old combat rifle I was killing them in 2-3 sneak attack hits but with a laser rifle it's taking forever. Maybe the fact I set it to very hard is making a difference, but I didn't think that made enemies any tougher.

I went to the trouble of unlocking ballistic weave only to find out you can't apply it to BoS uniforms or road leathers. I was pretty miffed.

Yeah i've pretty much given up trying to tart up my places since everything eventually sinks into the floor, like I said there should be a function to lock items in place.

I don't remember terminals in NV having the 10 second cooldown though, i'm sure it was once you're locked out you're fucked.

It took me about a week of playing before I finally realised you could see the radioactive glow coming off of the crater from far away, I was standing atop Corvega one night and I noticed it. It looks quite nice from my new place at Egret Tours since its pretty close to the glowing sea, I spend the night sitting on the roof watching it.

I was escorting a Brotherhood squire (annoying kid) somewhere through super mutant territory, he kept giving my position away with his non stealthiness. I get detected and back away, he runs off to hide like a moron, still backing away I see him running down the street being chased by a super mutant suicider, I laughed like fuck. But seriously, those Brotherhood escort missions - annoying as fuck.

I love levelling up and not realising it until later. But I hate it when i've already spent the point in my mind and know exactly what i'm going to put it into.
