are the controls for GTA3 mobile the same as vice city?? i have nailed down the VC controls, but i have yet to play the GTA3 that i downloaded a week ago... i like how i can customize my control layout, but something makes me think that isn't possible in 3... vice city has an auto aim feature, which works for the most part, but also stubbornly stays locked on people hiding behind cover...

"...to the depths of the ocean..." this has got me kind of excited... they knew with the urban landscape, having the wild animals from RDR would be at a minimal...the ecosystem they developed would be a bare bones version from RDR... so instead of letting that become a problem, they explored the sea world of GTA, and probably created an ecosystem down there as well... sharks eating other fish, and surfers too of course... seals and whales are all possibilities... looks like we're gonna have an underwater RDR gig... but i wonder, who of the three is the trained marine biologist?? ... but there goes rockstar again, adding another new dimension to the open world landsape, by once again opening up the landscape... this is one side job i'll be working hard at to unlock all the subs available...

i found this to be too funny and knew it'd get more appreciation here than in the spam fest topic...

i've always liked the stacked look...when i read anything in that style i hear "BAM BAM BAM" in my head, like they're slamming into their horizontal spot ... it also helps to break it up too, adding more dramatics to the way you read it... the last, of us... i agree with the statement though, i thought uncharted was a fun multiplayer... i didn't play a bunch of it, but i did play it... i could see them really doing something fun online with the dynamic game structure it's built around... for a major single player game, they created a complimentary online mode for uncharted (especially the co-op stuff), unlike others on that list like the AC tack on... if it's built within the game structure, like hitman and GTAIV, it compliments the single player experience... AC is a bunch of assassins running around in a condensed animus map... where's the hunting games or sea battles?? why must everything revolve around a deathmatch style of gameplay in a a restricted map?! create something that fits the open world you spent 3 years developing ...

i didn't unlock any powers... i really didn't get very far, i am pretty sure i made it past the sewers but i didn't start the next mission, which was probably the pub... i thought the world had a unique look to it, and yea, i was carrying around a head for a while, using it as a distraction tool... but usually got spotted anyways and had to hack them to death... something about it didn't grab my attention... perhaps i'll give it another go in the future, but it wasn't pulling me in...

patches were just released for both mobile networks... for the iOS, they fixed a silly glitch i saw a couple of times where the helicopter spun around in a circle when you took off... plus, they added a feature to the custom radio station... if you shake the phone, it will change the song ... https://itunes.apple...&ign-mpt=uo%3D2 R* listens... sometimes... however, all my custom controls were reset and now i have to set them all up again ... can't win all the time...

i noticed that the cutstom radio station repeats the first song every time i go to it... i think someone mentioned that earlier, but it kinda sucks... at least make it random, otherwise it's a pointless addition ... i am guessing random times within a song would be out of the question too...

gee really?? no suprise there... and if the rays were to add a big bat, they'd say they had the best 3-4... ESPN are fairweather fans, they pick the hot names, and right now hamilton/pujols is a hot ticket, just like fielder/cabrera was last year... it'll be interesting to see which one is better next year... the one thing my team has going for it is, my guys don't get hurt 4 times a year... they're actually pretty durable... *knocks on wood* your guys get hurt all the time ...

i can't do a top 10, so i'll do a top 5... i'm not even sure if i played 10 new games this year... i replayed a lot of games i already had, like skyrim, fallout, hitman, san andreas, and a couple of others... this year wasn't a very exciting year for games for me... too many of them were delayed till 2013... 5) Grand Theft Auto Vice City 10th Anniversary - it's only fair that i rank this 5 since it's a game from 10 years ago... but i can't put it down!! i've been playing it at least an hour a day it seems... it's conveniently right there on my phone, i'm only a touch away from mayhem... and the world looks 10 times better than the original, the HD treatment really brought out the colors of vice city... the controls, while tough to get used to at first, are actually pretty damn good for a mobile game... i reccomend it to everyone here... we're all GTA fans anyways ... 4) Assassins Creed 3 - what a dissapointment this was... i'm not so sure the wide open space of the cities were a good idea... i miss the tight condensed cities of the renaissance... but the wilderness was a nice touch, it's just a shame there wasn't much to do with it besides hunt and run through trees... the story was really good, but that's something you expect with the series anyways... and the naval battles were the defining moment for this game.... if they made an entire game out of sea battles, i would buy it... they've got a real cool idea here, i would love to see it flushed out and turned into an epic pirate game series full of naval battles, historic pirates and full of port towns and hideaways, full crew control, ship modifying, etc... please recreate the age of piracy!! speaking of pirates... 3) Risen 2 - Dark Waters - here's the other half of the equation... if only this game and the naval battles from AC3 would have a baby... this had a deep RPG element, with crews, pirate towns, giant islands full of creatures and animals to fight, and inhabited by lots of characters and stuff to do... things to craft and spells to learn... skills to improve, etc... the only downside to this game, and it's a big one... if this is a game about pirates, then WHERE'S THE SEA PART!!! i never have control of a ship, i just watch a cutscene where it leaves a port and shows up in another... like i said, if this game and the AC3 naval battles had a baby, i would be the happiest man in the world... except, i wouldn't want this fantasy-magician spell casting world to be the story, i am sure ubisoft could do something more realistic... but this game was the shit, i spent a good month playing this, and will probably play it again as there's multiple skills to learn and an alternate path for developing your character... plus your fighting a titan and mythical sea creatures... 2) Max Payne 3 - i didn't follow this very closely, but knew i'd rent it one day... but when i was able to rent it on day one, i jumped right in... this was one of the most stylish games i ever played... the atmosphere, the lighting, the design, the action, the bullet-time... from start to finish it was like someone accelerated to 100 MPH and closed their eyes... the heart-pounding music was easily the best sound i heard all year... hearing the drum beat harder as wave after wave of enemies appear in front of you, gets your adrenaline going... my best description for this game would be, it's noir lore mixed with die hard flair... it's a modern day noir film, with over the top action... 1) Hitman: Absolution - no surprise there, this game was loads of fun... you're in the shoes of agent 47, the greatest stone cold killer in the history of games... he's the greatest assassin of all, he's methodical, adaptable, flawless... he kills without hesitation... all the contracts were fun, and offered lots of variety and challenge... he's also got some of the coolest kills i've seen in a while... i can't recall how many times i had a screwdriver in my inventory ... but he's adaptable... you make decisions on the fly a lot... take a disquise or sneak past the guards... set up accidental kills or distractions... silently take out patrols or shoot up the entire level... it's all up to you on how you want to finish the contract... and the multiplayer is suprisingly good for a single player game... i could keep rambling on about hitman, it's easily my GOTY... and i've still got a ton of challenges to knock out before i stop playing it... i foresee plenty more nights of playing this, there's still a lot to do, lots of alternate level routes and challenges to collect...

it's not too frustrating if you go in fully knowing that you'll fail missions often... the game is more adaptable than any other game in the series, so if shit isn't working or you get caught, you can always try to kill everyone.... if you have patience with the game, and in game, you'll enjoy this game more than you thought... it's slow calculated murder... if you think it's gonna be like a call of duty or assassins creed then you'll be dissapointed... just expect to die or fail objectives often on your way to perfecting your own method to finishing the contract... and i'll say it again, have patience or you'll fail a retry before you even get started...

yet, you think dickey isn't going to ask for a lot of money?? he's not going anywhere unless he's signed to a lucrative extension... he's the 2nd best available pitcher if the mets are shopping him around... and that's after grienke who already signed with another LA team... last i heard the cubs and tigers are fighting over the 3rd best available if the mets are shopping dickey... anibal sanchez... his pricetag went up thanks to greinke, so i am not so sure we can afford him anymore... might need to start looking for backup plans... i also heard that we were trying to trade for shields, who went to the royals in a trade... damn, that would of been epic!!
