  1. i thought it was a great signing... i've always admired his career from afar in minnesota... he's one of the classiest guys in the league... and we needed a huge upgrade in RF... his bat might be cooling off since he's 37, but his fielding is still top notch... and fielding was one of our weakest aspects last year...
  2. i bust out the naval axe every now and then, but that too looks out of place walking around since ubisoft decided to turn it sideways so it stands out like a sore thumb... my first big weapon came from looting a redcoat one day... but yea, there should be a way to remove those weapons... gonna finish this bitch this weekend i hope, because hitman comes out next week... to be honest, if it wasn't for GTAV news, i could of rented this and beat it... i am really not seeing much replayability... the naval battles could be worth playing again, but hunting and the economy are pointless so far... i kill animals to make money, but i only spend it on consumables when a new sequence decides to remove my ammo... and why doesn't my new garb colors reflect in cutscenes?? and the story is decent but i am not too enamored with it... i am actually not that impressed... it's cool and the story ain't too shabby... but connor's story and the past isn't that interesting anymore, the world is becoming rather plain again... i am actually excited about getting the last artifact to continue desmond's story... he's become the story despite playing such a noble assassin... i can't figure out why i am so disconnected from connor., perhaps it's because it feels like past games with a wilderness to navigate... and even that gets boring to where i just fast-travel after a while...
  3. he's gotta clean up all the jizz left here from wednesday... *watches trailer again* sorry massacre...
  4. nobody i know got killed in south central LS?? come on, it really could be ice cube!! i've listened to that bit a few times, i can't think of anyone else... if i am wrong, i am wrong... therapists make house calls for those that can afford it... michael can clearly afford it...
  5. yea, i realized what my problem was with combat all this time... it's not the block as you suggested, viceman... it was the fact that i was button mashing circle over and over, even after a successful counter... i learned how to slow myself down in combat and focus on the hit at hand... i pulled off a couple of devestating kills after that... made me wonder how i missed that in the tutorials... and now that you mentioned the triangle counter, i will be keeping my pistol handy for that one... i guess all i had to do was ask, and my fellow brotherhood here was quick to give pointers... i'd recruit you all if i had a cause to recruit for ... i've been scratching away at the naval stuff every now and then... i know it's not the focal point of connor's story so i know there's not a lot to do there... so i am just pacing myself i guess ... one thing that is driving me nuts it trying to get away from enemies... because colonial america is soo wide open, it makes sneaking away so damn hard... i found myself once, running around, taking back alleys, trying to hide in brush or crowds, only to find myself spotted right away... i once literally ran around for 10 minutes trying to shake pursuers... and when i stopped to fight a few, more joined in... it could be a new york thing, but damn... i was even on an important mission where i was chasing someone, right before sequence 8, and i chased that mother fucker around in circles or twenty minutes... every time i got close i got stuck on a fence or wall that connor decided to climb... i even ambushed him and the only time i caught him was when he got caught up in a traveling merchant carriage... this game seriously still needs some work... sadly, we'll get another 3 beta tests before they move on to something else...
  6. you know, dr. paul was right in that video... the only problem is this; that's the reason behind the succession, and it's just downright laughable... what about over-policing, or over-spending?? what about limiting more freedoms or trying to control the citizen?? most people are missing the point, and it's downright laughable... fuck abortion or gay marriage... that's a state thing... fuck religion, that has no part in any aspect of politics or government... sadly, however, religion has been the driving force of just about every single empire... and it's a power that needs to just give up... religion has always been about controlling the follower... and sadly, most of us sheeps following the herder... not a lot of you here though, you guys always question shit... i have healthier debates here than i do with the world i converse with... it's pathetic out there, thank god for GTA...
  7. who are these people?? where did they get those pics?? i wonder because they're like the only ones that didn't put a watermark on their exclusive pics... i posted two of them since one looked way to similar to a GI one...
  8. no, they're taking screenshots from their engine build if i am not mistaken... or doing that high resolution thing dup mentioned where they blow it up, then scale it back down to make it look super smoove... these clearly aren't from consoles...
  9. he sounded like ice cube to me... i'll have another watch soon, but that was the first name that popped into my head... When he says "I'll swing by and sign the contracts, all right? Just ignore the bodies." he sounds like Vincent D'Onofrio, who played the bug Edgar in Men In Black. sorry, i was actually commenting on franklin's voice, i had to edit my post, i quoted the wrong person ... but franklin sounded like ice cube to me... if it ain't, then its someone trying to sound like him...
  10. Same lol. Awesome trailer. And maybe its just me but does Franklin sound alot like CJs voice actor? he sounded like ice cube to me... i'll have another watch soon, but that was the first name that popped into my head...
  11. @QD -i was talking about the american revolution when i said 1700's... after the war, we disbanded the continental army and the citizens went back to being farmers... the government shortly after created the military to serve the united states... but if we're to be under individual state rule, we'd need smaller armies, which could also pose a problem on those borders... but yea, i was implying that if we didn't build a massive army and impose our will across the world, we wouldn't have a need for such a massive military... state armies could perhaps do the job of keeping our borders safe, and under certain times of war declared by congress, the armies would unite... congress is there to carry out our orders... and even if some of the states didn't want to, it's still put to a vote... congress can function without government... congress is suppose to be in control by the people, which doesn't happen anymore, but it's the congresses job to protect us from the government... instead, they've become the government, voting on things that benefit them and their party, not the states they represent...
  12. you don't... you stay out of other peoples business and defend your homeland like we did in the 1700's... yea looking back it sounds rather stupid, but if we didn't create a massive army and policed the world, we probably wouldn't have to worry about that sort of thing anyways... in times of war, the colonies united... i would image we could do the same if our borders were threatened again...
  13. fuck, i am playing through the story a dozen times... that's not an issue to me ...
  14. the way it should be... we've given the gov't too many responsibilities to where we're so dependent on them... it was always meant to be up to the states, with the gov't merely helping along the process... instead over the years, we've gotten more lazy and ask the gov't to almost everything... shit's backwards now...
  15. a government, for the people, by the people... instead it's a government for their best interest, by the ones who donate the most... spliting the states isn't all that bad of an idea, but there wouldn't a distinct north vs. south, we'd be spread out all over the place, and every 4 years, some states would want to change sides... it's really not going to work that well...
  16. I've had no trouble getting long killstreaks going, with a beautiful variety of different kills, the french axe has some grisly finishing moves. Counter then triangle is throw, counter then x is disarm, counter then square is kill, then square again on your next target starts the killstreak. I only use throw to toss them off the edge of cliffs/boats/roofs or into a firing squad. Sounds like you're stuck in a loop of doing ground kills, and that does get old. In general, I'm a bit surprised at the derpy, bad glitches that pop up from time to time. I wonder if those could/will get cleaned up in an update once DLC starts rolling out. yup, i am still having that issue... as soon as he counters, he immediately throws the enemy to the ground, no matter what other button i push... it's kinda of frustrating, not knowing how to fix the issue... i thought it was a timing thing but that didn't help either... so i finally got a good long session in on this game, took the day off cause i was sick *ahem cough ehem not really*... i made it through sequence 8 and the desmond sequence... those were pretty cool if i might say so... the desmond parts are really interesting all of a sudden, perhaps it has to do with the locations... i felt trapped in revelations, being stuck in the animus for most of the game... it was refreshing to get out there and see some new locations... also, sequence 8 was rather interesting, and a nice change of pace from the rest of the game... i mean it was still colonial america, but it was different gmaeplay from the rest of the game... and the sequence that lead up to that one was equally impressive... the war is in full bloom and it's pretty sweet!! also, did a few more pirate naval missions too... those are really fucking awesome, i am gonna make sure i play them all before i finish this story...
  17. i wonder what michigan says... we voted for obama anyways...
  18. loved the driving... it's what made the game so damn fun to me... knowing how to handle the car you just took makes it all the better... i am guessing a lot of you complaining gave up too early... i am a fucking wizard at driving just about anything, even driving offroad is super fun... i understand the steep learning curve that probably a lot of you gave up on, but i found it to be the best driving simulator ever... cars in real life have a hard time making turns at high speeds, it takes skill to work the brake and handbrake to make that turn... you guys just want a game about driving to be easier, which goes against what a driving game is all about... there should be a learning curve, and once you master it, you can use it to your advantage... ----------------------------- there was a partial piece of artwork released today by IGN that i was surprised didn't get posted in here yet... i wonder what's in that trunk ...
  19. i still don't get it... what's the point?? why the hell would you further divide this country?? this just goes to show that obama will struggle the next four years because the butthurt republicans are gonna pull the same bullshit and refuse to work with the president to change this country... again, i fucking hate the ignorant people of this country... your man lost, move on... in 4 years, try harder...
  20. yea, it happens when the doors are unlocked... that happened often in GTAIV...
  21. most of you do realize that we're on facebook and twitter right?? during this down time, we were staying up to date there ... the website is one thing, but the forums and social media is another.... the greatest forum was still kicking it...

  23. romney/obama care would of been the same, war with the middle east would of been the same, more gov't power would of grown, more global domination would of occurred, more money from american citizens would of happened... what am i missing??
  24. fucking butthurt republicans... your ideas were no different than the democrats... i bet the people in my neighborhood with the "take back our country" signs want to sign that petition, as if their guy would do anything different... this country has always been divided by red state/blue state... this election round has gotten too ridiculous, and i blame the fucking ignorant people that don't realizing they're debating over the same fucking things, or letting religion rule their decisions... i fucking hate american politics... same bullshit every 4 years... i wish people would wake up, otherwise we're destined for the same god damn thing 4 years from now...
