  1. psst, i bought this on amazon yesterday for $18 new ... i've been itching to play through the pulse-pounding story again... i told myself i would buy it again when it got to 20 "bones"... plus i want to play a little online to add to me and igta's stats a little, even if it's in multiple losing efforts lol...

yea, i handle by game discs like i'm disarming a nuke... very carefully... the good thing about blu rays though is they're harder to scratch so if the unthinkable ever happens, i know it'll be OK... even PS3 games i rent have absolutely no scratches... i wonder if i am still rocking my T-1000 character ...
  3. with RDR, they had servers for those that wanted to play in hardcore mode so at least we'd be able to keep those matches separate... that could work here with GTAV... but i kinda like the idea of making the game hard if you wanted to... just having the option would be a nice addition, whether you use it or not...
  4. the canadian problems sound like american problems to me... here, smoke this joint, forget about all this bullshit... i think i said this before, but i am a joint and pipe smoker (heh )... bongs and doo-dads are too much for me, it kills my lungs just about every time... that's not to say i don't smoke 'em, i just prefer joints and pipes... vapors aren't any better...

what, like broke it or did everything possible in it?? i am thinking of playing this again, twofacedtanner is wanting to co-op someday...
  6. @gtafan - not everything gets closed... and this guy actually did research to check before making the topic... most don't... i wouldn't mind seeing a difficulty option actually... after you beat the game a hundred times, it'd be nice to make it more challenging... i really think regenerating health will be a part of the new GTA, but an option to not have it would be nice... same with auto-aim, and perhaps making the police harder to shake would be a nice addition... 1 star = 2 stars? making enemy shots inflict double damage would be a nice addition too... most open world games don't have difficulty options though, which makes the chances of GTAV having these kinda slim... but it sounds good on paper...

@QD... must be the soft edges and lighting effects... next gen consoles are gonna show their knowledge of covering up the jagged edges... i thought halo was boring, but i am not holding that against bungie right now... their strength is multiplayer but if they can weave in a compelling single player campaign then i might be interested... i like a good dystopian story...
  8. @truth... using an iphone? tilt the camera where the home button is to the right... makes it a little awkward for a lefty, but then again, designers don't give a fuck about my kind... it took me a few uploads to realize how the sites handle the camera roll... EDIT: you must not have an iphone because my directions would make it upside down...
  9. yea, i'll upgrade my pre-order if one of the collectors editions look good... but pre-order now before they run out of the mcfarlance posters if you're sure you're gonna get this... and if you change your mind, i think you can transfer your pre-order to something else...
  10. oh, you say peta is upset about whaling? ...and not a fuck was given... "In Assassin's Creed 4, you get ahead by killing. Joe Shmoe who plays this game in his mother's basement in the safety and comfort of his home will feel a sense of accomplishment by killing this whale." wow, fuck you peta for stereotyping video gamers... now i can't wait to kill a whale just for that comment...
  11. yea, all i had to do was beat the game to improve my scoring... i had the mission down to a T, and the only obstacle was mission bonuses from improving my skills for when i went back and played it... you were levels ahead of me when i created that challenge...
  12. i just asked my friend to give me this game back... i'll make a contract worth playing if you want one... i too played one of bronson's contracts and all i was doing was killing women walking down a street, no challenge at all... or add me, perhaps my contract is still available...
  13. loved this series... while i probably won't play the new one until i rent it someday, i've loved the series as a whole... the story is just a testosterone driven blood bath of a man slaying all the gods who have all turned their back on him after the first game... well, not all of them, but they unleashed kratos to stop the god of war, and he never stopped after that because he felt all the gods were bullshit and tricked him in the first place... a true antagonist... good stuff... god of war 3 opens with probably the most memorable moment in gaming history... that entire battle with poseiden was unbelievable, but also the epic travel to reach cronos in the first game was amazing... this series defines the word 'epic'...
  14. no someone will take them or they disappear... but i find that dumping them in some interior places is safe.. not in a container, but dropping them... you also have to find a store that doesn't pick up your stuff and give it back to you when you drop it... so far, belathor's general goods in whiterun is the only place i've seen this work, and i think the blacksmith's place works too, but you have to wait until they're open if you want to get back in there to get the items... i've dropped about a dozen worthless items i was carrying into belathor's firepit... 300 hours later and they're all still there... or you could just earn 5,000 septims and buy the breezehome in whiterun... all you have to do is help out with the dragon you killed to become thane and able to buy property... i made 5K in less than 4 hours on my current playthrough... EDIT: ohh, QD, hit up ivarstead, you should of already been there if you were following the main story early on... it's to the east of the giant mountain... or you could just drop a couple of things so ou can fast travel to sell it all, then travel back and hope those petty items are still there... don't drop anything unique or with significant value...
  15. i am kind of hoping it's released for the PS+ people too... i would love to try a demo of this...
  16. i think paralyzing poisons are the best ones... watch them pass out for a few seconds while i beat the shit out of him with my sword... now put that enchantment on a sword and you've got one of the best weapons in a fierce battle...
  17. yea, i feel like it wouldn't take all that long to reach that level... i'm at 9 now i think, and barely scratched the surface of the world in front of me... but i do need to have a place so i can store some of this unique stuff i have... i was thinking about dropping it all in the firepit in belathor's shop in whiterun... seems like anything i dropped in there stayed all game... could be a good place to temporary store soem cool stuff...
  18. @viceman, it the pale's house, hjalminch-something... you have to be level 22 to get some 'kill a giant' quest from the jarl... < { iphucked this post!! }
  19. just found out i can't buy the house i want until level 22?? what kind of bullshit is that? at least that's what the wikia says... now i will be forced to by the breezehome for now until i can get up there in levels... that's dumb, of all the houses you can construct, that one has a little tiny side quest requirement to unlock the option... boo...
  20. yea, harpooning was one of the big things that got my attention yesterday... plus the complete open world and the talk of over 50 locations... i'm sold, i really am... this sounds like the pirate game i have been wanting for years... they must be reading shit i post on the internet...
  21. don't forget to upgrade your armor too at the workbench... all you need is an ore of the style of armor to use to upgrade... as far as the dragon goes, you've killed one already, all you have to do is run around so he can find a place to land... there's a good chance you're on a cliff of some sort, next to a mountain or something... that happens occasionally, but if you move around into a more open space he will land... maybe bring some arrows with you to help weaken him up a bit so long as you hide behind a rock or something after you shoot the arrow... are you a brute warrior, or a sneaky thief?? i just got done with the greybeards for my new character, gonna go slightly off the path on my way to the windcaller's place so i can swing into dawnstar and get a few quests going since i'll need to be a thane to buy property... i am going with the land north of the loreius farm... also, i have over 6,000 septims already... looting and selling is the quickest way... i only hit up maybe 4 bandit hideouts tops... two were outdoors, and the other two were mines... now i got plenty of money to buy some land...
  22. meet alkair... yea, it's a play on words with altair ... but adding the k made it sound middle-easternish, and more like a redguard name... he's in riverwood doing some light crafting to make a few bucks before morning arrives... then it's off to whiterun to tell the imperial led town of the happenings in helgen... after using both fire and sword thru the first cave, i think i am gonna really enjoy playing this file... i have long range fire to weaken them up or kill them... then the sword for when they get in my face...
  23. I thing AC2 is still the best but AC1 is second, the gameplay often was repetitive which brings it down a little for me. Also, Desmond looked the coolest in that one. He slowly started looking weirder as the series progressed. I'm sure this one will still have a modern day protagonist with the new objective being to stop Juno. But it wouldn't be too surprising if they decided to go with something like bOnEs said. they are going with what i said... did none of you read or watch the videos i posted from IGN?? "Another stumbling point of the AC franchise: the modern storyline. Though an afterthought in the minds of many, the Assassin’s Creed saga focuses a great deal on the contemporary conflict between Assassins and Templars. Until ACIII, that part of the storyline was told through Desmond Miles. With Desmond’s story concluded, Ubisoft was left searching for another way to continue the tale in 2013. It’s doing this by making you, the player, part of the narrative. Though details were purposefully left vague, you are a person hired by Templar-controlled Abstergo Entertainment to research a pivotal moment in Desmond’s ancestry. You’re told to look into Edward Kenway – and away you go. Ubisoft is attempting to find the delicate balance between the game’s Caribbean setting – where the bulk of the game takes place – and its modern counterpart, where a significant amount of lore is held. The team hopes that it can incentivize hardcore Assassin’s Creed fans to step outside the world of pirates and explore the Abstergo facility, by providing a variety of unnamed activities and information as a means of reward." i disagree with them about the modern day being disconnected and boring... but for those that liked it, i guess we're in the minority..
  24. i hear that... completed dawnguard earlier today... dragonborn was a lot better, i found the daedric world of this add-on a little lackluster, plus the long long long distances between objectives was a crappy way by the developers to stretch out that part of the game... serana was a great strong character though, as well as isram... but the story wasn't all that interesting, nor were the locations... the coolest moment was approaching fort dawnguard for the first time... and the other when the bridge broke underneath me in another location, i didn't expect that... the crossbow wasn't all that good for my character at all... i could see it's advantages for low leveled characters, and the fact that i can now craft arrows is awesome... welp, gonna start my new file either tonight or tomorrow morning... time to be an imperial redguard, a mixture of sword and magic... a man who wants to run an army of his own someday...
  25. i don't even think there will be any william parts, i think they might be doing away with the modern day storyline... we'll see, but desmond's story was all wrapped up, he saved the world, the moment all the games led up to... now i think they're gonna just let loose and explore history more... so i pre-ordered this because i couldn't pass up the chance to get my hands on a todd mcfarlane art piece... looks good ... and it's HUGE, 24x36... really goes well with all the other pirate stuff hanging up on my walls in my house... i really love pirates, this new game may have just made my day/month/year... IGN put up their videos... the developer one is a good one... http://www.ign.com/a...-creed-4-reveal recap-ish article... http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/03/04/the-dawn-of-assassins-creed-iv-black-flag
