it wasn't a bad conference at all... the focus was on xbox and not the TV stuff or kinect... it was all about the games...

dear god i took almost 200 photos and the PS4 conference is coming up... EDIT: deathmatch results...

i can't connect to the playstation network!! anyone else get kicked out??

sounds good grrrrllll....

the buzz word this year is "open world".. wow, lots of games boast that this year... thanks R* ...

that "glass" concept is kind of interesting, does it only apply to glass enabled tablets? i am sure that if sony is doing something similar, you'd do it thru the vita, which i still don't want to buy...

i can't get over the fact that you play for 5 minutes and watch a 15 minute cutscene, then play for another 10 minutes, then watch a 30 minute cutscene... it's too much story telling IMO... the game itself is usually fun, but i can never get passed that... i played and beat the first two, made it through the first act in 3 and spent a few hours exploring in 4... it's just not my thing mainly because of the god awful long cutscenes...

then IV it is...

ryse was the only thing from their conference that i want to play... everything else was meh... and starting off the show with a non-exclusive?? that wasn't a good first step even though the new metal gear looks really good... but another halo, another forza, witcher 3 (which is probably no exclusive), titanfall, and a slew of others... even insomniac's cartoonish looking open world looked meh.... EDIT: twitch TV sounds promising, but it didn't sound like it was exclusive because microsoft would of boasted that one... sounds like twitch TV will be the place to see friends play... for those of us that want to watch other people's GTA deathmatches now have an answer... and project spark looks like the next gen version of little big planet with a 3D world instead of the side scrolling affair from LBP... i dunno about that one either, LBP got boring after a while, this could face the same fate... notice no one ever talks about it anymore??

i think it's all about the new TV they're working on... 15 minutes until xbox tries to prove they're not just a TV console that always has to be connected to the net...

i wouldn't want an apple gaming console... they're not at E3 but they're doing it this afternoon...

apparently apple is is doing their keynote speech during E3 today?? hmm, seems fishy...

now THAT looks really good... not a day 1 for me but wow, it's definitely a must play... kinda surprised to see it leaked since it was the surprise of last years E3 because no one knew about it...

graphics don't mean shit to me, but in this day and age, you have to have something at least presentable for a console blockbuster... plenty of indie games don't have the graphics but they have the gameplay... sadly there are those that care too much about graphics still... i personally haven't had an issue with any games graphics, except for RAGE, which looked beautiful at times but the constant texture loading really took me out of the experience... the un-modded GTAIV still looks gorgeous to me, the world is so vibrant, but it's also a part of that drab color era where most games sacrificed color for presentation and stability.. thankfully no one really does that anymore and games are more vibrant then ever...

--- in other news, the tigers go for the sweep of the indians today... we're starting to build up a nice cushion in the division, it's currently sitting at 5.5 games before today's festivities... EDIT:... ....aaaand we swept them!!

maybe we could start with BOGT then switch to GTAIV or TLAD after the deathmatch?

something more intimate... BOGT has interiors but the rest of their game modes are lacking...

looks like a low turnout for this one... i might make the time on the deathmatch 30 minutes or less...

nope... however, the areas you traverse are kind of vast so it gives you the feeling of being in an open world when you reach a new area to explore... i am still on the fence if i want to buy this or not... i doubt it will go out of stock on amazon so i will contemplate whether it's worth buying or just renting for a couple of weeks...
