sadly, i don' think there's a way around the repetitive factor in a massive open world like this... even the last of us is getting repetitive, but the story and levels are keeping it fresh... but come on, how many rags, scissors, and alcohol do you pick up that people leave behind?? and how many same looking drawers and cabinets do you open?? even some the interiors are starting to repeat themselves... i would think with this being a next gen title, and being developed for probably 4 years that this will feel much more polished than just cause 2... but i think it's going to have a familiar feel to it just because it's the same developer... even the last of us feels like uncharted... and it has been said on record that mad max is going to have lots of random encounters too to keep the game feeling fresh... but i would imagine the camps will work in a similar fashion to clearing out enemy bases in just cause 2, only you can't skydive into the base, or deal with wave after wave of enemies (because of an enemy wanted level-like) while you try to take it over... enemies might be in smaller numbers because of the scarcity of supplies and people still alive... and i think he each base could work as it's own separate town without ties to other towns and enemies... but that's all just my own speculation, hopefully we'll he some new stuff soon...

i told you... he's killed the spurs chances in back to back games now... dunno if he needs to retire, but pop needs to question why he left him out there in the final minutes, and why he put parker on the bench a couple of times, even on offensive possessions...

but it's a gadget that none of us want anyways, unlike being forced to have to buy the kinect because it's integrated into the xbox interface...

trout's speed definitely makes him a better fielder, but i bet cabrera has a better arm ... he has a cannon at 3rd, and is light on his feet, it's why he started out his career in the outfield, when he was this skinny little 19 year old venezualen on the marlin's championship team... it was funny i remember them talking about him during that world series and they all kept mentioning how this guy could become one of the all-time best hitters in the game, and they all agreed that outfield wouldn't be his spot in a few years when his weight finally caught up to his big frame ... and he was never a big homerun hitter until these past few years when he's been in the triple crown threat category... trout is smaller and faster and he looks like he's gonna be packing on a few pounds soon too ... but he's got all the makings to be one of the best during his long career in the majors, no doubt about that...

i still think road warrior was the best one of the trio... thunderdome was a bit campy for my tastes... but i will have to re-watch these as we get closer to the release date to get a refresher on the harsh world he lives in... i am following this development on both twitter and facebook so i will try to keep this thread updated as much as possible... i just keep thinking about just cause 2, but without skydiving and full of raiders...

what?! it's been confirmed to be open world ... did you not read what i posted or just skipped immediately to posting?? it's an open-world badlands map with car battles and camps to clear out...

he showed mental toughness in game 6 in OT... he's close, but he's not there yet... as for miami, their fans have been, and always will be bandwagon fans... they just don't care about sports in that town unless they're doing good... where's all the marlins fans from '03? dolphins fans? if any of those teams started winning again, they'd all be back on the bandwagon as if they never left... they're the worst...

i don't buy or play a lot of games so PS+ is an amazing offer for me most of the time... i tend to play the games i already have because i only buy games i know i'll play again... the instant game collection and minis and such are a great addition for someone like me...

he's an underrated 3rd basemen... for a big fella, he's quick off his feet, just not quick after he gets them going ... he's the best hitter by far...

---- so, i know i am not the only one here excited about this game... it's being developed by avalanche studios, creators of the just cause series, which is an underrated game IMO, and should be played at least once if you like open world games... and picturing that vast open world with post-apocalyptic overtones could make this the early sleeper hit of 2014... all CGI i know, and it's not like just cause 2 was a super sharp looking game either, but taking in the scope of the world brought out it's majestic beauty... i can only imagine this world looking as magnificent when taken in all at once as well... ----- gasoline is the main focus of this post-apocalyptic world in case you were wondering... cars rule the open roads of the wasteland, and gangs, rebels, and loners like mad max, own the pavement... there's always a fight for more gasoline and bullets... the movies took place in the badlands of australia, and the characters all had australian accents... but the game actually has a guy with an american accent (so far) but still has the desert-like setting... no one is still sure about the direction of the world, but it has been said on record that it only takes place in the same world as the movie... i am not one for trying to duplicate the past as it usually ruins the original... so i am all for a intepreted remake, and if you didn't know, there is a remake in hollywood already filming that's due out next year... hmm... http://www.imdb.com/...ref_=fn_al_tt_6 here's an ok machinima interview explaining the game, not a demo as the link indicates...

I buy pre-owned games pretty far down the road. I got LA Noire for $13, Crysis 2 for about the same price. I wouldn't have bought either game for $60, which is the only reason I buy a game pre-owned. If I'm going to replay a game multiple times or I'm going to spend hours playing a single file, I'll buy it new. Pre-owned is for games I probably would never have played had I not been able to get them so cheap. most of the time, i can find a game on amazon cheaper so i just buy it from there, including older new games...

the people that leave games early are the casual fans, they deserve to be locked out... only true fans stay until the end... i was upset at manu ginobli... he managed to destroy any run the spurs got on with his horrible passing or badly timed jumpshots... he pretty much ruined game 6 for the spurs IMO... i don't think he should be starting game 7, at all... poor timmy worked his ass off in that game, and it was all for nothing...

I don't have a problem with this. Online passes are how companies make their money from used games. Buy the game new, you've got an online pass, buy it used, you buy one on PSN or Live. I don't buy games with the intention of playing multiplayer, and I rarely buy pre-owned games. If I do buy a game pre-owned, I'm not doing it for the multiplayer. yea i don't have a problem with it either, but people seem to get bent out of shape about online passes... in reality, gamestop is only ever $5 cheaper than retail, which means that paying $10 for an online pass means you just payed $5 more for a used game... i don't even buy used anymore because of that minor price difference...

intredasting... but from an industry perspective, doesn't this make the xbox look weak considering that they had to cave on what they planned for the system? it doesn't sound like they thought the next gen through very well IMO... they were trying to future proof their system, but in reality, we're still a few years away from that, which is why i thought it was too soon for next gen in the first place... their ideas will work in 4-5 years, but not right now... and sadly, they went back on what they originally wanted to do... makes me wonder if they even know what they're doing in the first place... this news still doesn't change my mind though...

^thanks... i didn't get time to play yesterday, and tonight probably won't be any different... i had the audio cut out on me during a very very key cutscene on monday though; ...it reminded me of all the times the audio cut out in cutscenes in the uncharted series for me... i don't know why i have those issues with their games... thankfully i could turn the subtitles on immediately after i noticed that happen... i'll have to re-watch that on youtube in the near future so i can hear it again as it was a key moment in the game so far for me... @dup - uh oh, i was worried about that aspect of multiplayer, if it was like max payne 3 in that you're gonna suck until you unlock better gear... i too liked the facebook connection thing, but the problem was, people that were gathering firewood and fixing shit are the kind of friends i wouldn't want anywhere near that kind of stuff ...

stop bitching back and forth, you guys sound like a bunch of whiny teenagers... oh wait... it's kind of odd to hear sony say 1st party games won't have online passes when uncharted 2, 3, and and last of us shipped with online passes that were required to play online... but the fact is, most of the games on the PS3 will be just like the xbox one when it comes to online passes because publishers are not going to do it on the xbox and not do the same on the PS3... they'd be alienating their own fanbase no matter what console they used... something tells me online passes will be required for all of their 1st party games eventually... the used game market is huge right now, and it only makes sense that sony still keep that door open considering that we're still many years away from digital only... but sony is really pushing forward the idea of digital downloads too, which also eliminates the used game market, by making all PS4 games available day one, and also with the ability for the new game to download in the background while you launch it... the only way it's gonna convince "hard disc" people from not buying the disc is if they offer day-1 bonuses or pre-order bonuses...
