---- so, i know i am not the only one here excited about this game... it's being developed by avalanche studios, creators of the just cause series, which is an underrated game IMO, and should be played at least once if you like open world games... and picturing that vast open world with post-apocalyptic overtones could make this the early sleeper hit of 2014... all CGI i know, and it's not like just cause 2 was a super sharp looking game either, but taking in the scope of the world brought out it's majestic beauty... i can only imagine this world looking as magnificent when taken in all at once as well... ----- gasoline is the main focus of this post-apocalyptic world in case you were wondering... cars rule the open roads of the wasteland, and gangs, rebels, and loners like mad max, own the pavement... there's always a fight for more gasoline and bullets... the movies took place in the badlands of australia, and the characters all had australian accents... but the game actually has a guy with an american accent (so far) but still has the desert-like setting... no one is still sure about the direction of the world, but it has been said on record that it only takes place in the same world as the movie... i am not one for trying to duplicate the past as it usually ruins the original... so i am all for a intepreted remake, and if you didn't know, there is a remake in hollywood already filming that's due out next year... hmm... http://www.imdb.com/...ref_=fn_al_tt_6 here's an ok machinima interview explaining the game, not a demo as the link indicates...

I buy pre-owned games pretty far down the road. I got LA Noire for $13, Crysis 2 for about the same price. I wouldn't have bought either game for $60, which is the only reason I buy a game pre-owned. If I'm going to replay a game multiple times or I'm going to spend hours playing a single file, I'll buy it new. Pre-owned is for games I probably would never have played had I not been able to get them so cheap. most of the time, i can find a game on amazon cheaper so i just buy it from there, including older new games...

the people that leave games early are the casual fans, they deserve to be locked out... only true fans stay until the end... i was upset at manu ginobli... he managed to destroy any run the spurs got on with his horrible passing or badly timed jumpshots... he pretty much ruined game 6 for the spurs IMO... i don't think he should be starting game 7, at all... poor timmy worked his ass off in that game, and it was all for nothing...

I don't have a problem with this. Online passes are how companies make their money from used games. Buy the game new, you've got an online pass, buy it used, you buy one on PSN or Live. I don't buy games with the intention of playing multiplayer, and I rarely buy pre-owned games. If I do buy a game pre-owned, I'm not doing it for the multiplayer. yea i don't have a problem with it either, but people seem to get bent out of shape about online passes... in reality, gamestop is only ever $5 cheaper than retail, which means that paying $10 for an online pass means you just payed $5 more for a used game... i don't even buy used anymore because of that minor price difference...

intredasting... but from an industry perspective, doesn't this make the xbox look weak considering that they had to cave on what they planned for the system? it doesn't sound like they thought the next gen through very well IMO... they were trying to future proof their system, but in reality, we're still a few years away from that, which is why i thought it was too soon for next gen in the first place... their ideas will work in 4-5 years, but not right now... and sadly, they went back on what they originally wanted to do... makes me wonder if they even know what they're doing in the first place... this news still doesn't change my mind though...

^thanks... i didn't get time to play yesterday, and tonight probably won't be any different... i had the audio cut out on me during a very very key cutscene on monday though; ...it reminded me of all the times the audio cut out in cutscenes in the uncharted series for me... i don't know why i have those issues with their games... thankfully i could turn the subtitles on immediately after i noticed that happen... i'll have to re-watch that on youtube in the near future so i can hear it again as it was a key moment in the game so far for me... @dup - uh oh, i was worried about that aspect of multiplayer, if it was like max payne 3 in that you're gonna suck until you unlock better gear... i too liked the facebook connection thing, but the problem was, people that were gathering firewood and fixing shit are the kind of friends i wouldn't want anywhere near that kind of stuff ...

stop bitching back and forth, you guys sound like a bunch of whiny teenagers... oh wait... it's kind of odd to hear sony say 1st party games won't have online passes when uncharted 2, 3, and and last of us shipped with online passes that were required to play online... but the fact is, most of the games on the PS3 will be just like the xbox one when it comes to online passes because publishers are not going to do it on the xbox and not do the same on the PS3... they'd be alienating their own fanbase no matter what console they used... something tells me online passes will be required for all of their 1st party games eventually... the used game market is huge right now, and it only makes sense that sony still keep that door open considering that we're still many years away from digital only... but sony is really pushing forward the idea of digital downloads too, which also eliminates the used game market, by making all PS4 games available day one, and also with the ability for the new game to download in the background while you launch it... the only way it's gonna convince "hard disc" people from not buying the disc is if they offer day-1 bonuses or pre-order bonuses...

he only said like 10 words throughout the entire movie... the elevator scene didn't make any sense within the context of the movie... where was the driving? he drove in the opening scene and i think that was it...

i thought drive was boring... i don't get why so many people liked it, i thought it sucked... and speaking of ryan gosling... he's only popular because women gaga over him... he's a statue in all of his movies, a horrible actor...

there's no kill 50 guys with a molotov or anything like that... looking at the list, the rewards seem to be in finishing the game... and i can already tell that i probably missed out on a couple of others... if it keeps playing out this good, i might have to give it another go right afterwards... i entered a very very creepy place not too long ago... place gave me the heebie jeebies... but i'll refrain from talking about it until some of us complete the game... even spoilers sometimes spoil if you're not there yet... 54% done in almost 9 hours of game time... sounds like i still have a long ways to go... EDIT: jumped online but couldn't find anyone else to play with... looks like online is as scarce as the world it's based on... or the servers were having a hard time connecting me to a match...

when i beat the game, tell me your spoiler and i'll let you know if it's true or bullshit... i tend to stay away from stories about a game i am playing so i don't get spoiled... people damn near ruined RDR and LA noire for me...

i've played straight thru since my last save issue, and ignored the loud fan, which got quiet for a while, so i am pretty sure it kicks on because the system is getting too hot... i sure hope it goes smoothly tomorrow, these fat PS3 are pretty outdated nowadays... all i gotta get out of her is at least another year...

what happened when you guys found out your files were corrupt?? my game won't load, and the loading percentage goes up and, down?? i've never in the history of watching a loading bar did i ever see it go backwards... what the fuck is going on?? EDIT: 3rd time was the charm... it started working again and i made it quite a ways after that... this game is growing on me ...

so far i like it, but i need to play more to get a better grasp on how much i really like it... you're having a fan issue too?? that makes me feel a little better... perhaps this game is exceeding the system capabilities and it needs to kick on to cool it off... weird...

wow, one of the best opening sequences ever!! i got through some areas and i basically played it totally bad ass since i blew my cover a couple times... joel is pretty brutal and fun to play as... but now i am low on ammo and my health isn't all that good either ... lol, crap... i had to take a break, my PS3 fan got really loud at one point so i gave it a restart... that happens occasionally... EDIT: dammit it did it again... hmm...

oh man, here we go... i couldn't resist the urge to play this anymore so i went out and bought it...

oh it's bacon alright ...

the touchy controls on rooftops and running around bugged me a lot with AC3, especially in the last memory sequence... with a larger focus on freeroaming the caribbean though, i can probably overlook this when on land... but they better of worked on his awareness level a little... too many times i fell behind on chases or completely jumped out of rooftop stalking into a crowd of red coats... the caribbean will be even more open and spaced out than colonial america... but i think the abundance of jungle foliage will add a new dimension to the stalking parts... it just didn't work in AC3, and i blame the wide open areas, and lack of tree navigation despite them touting it... there was select areas to start and pick up in, but they felt way too linear...

now you got the right idea... ------- even the side of the six pack is bad ass...

you picked two stouts, usually a mixture of dark smokey/oatmeal/chocolate/coffee flavored goodness... i'm taking a road trip there sometime this summer so i can try some of their other brews... they're one of those "buy it here" operations so it can only be found in stores around their brewery... i got this zombie dust from a guy that lives down there... EDIT: some of you would probably like this place, they play loud metal music and obscure movies...
