Wasn't sure if it was worthy of a new topic, but just had a laugh out loud moment online. I was fannying around with a cargobob at Sandy Shores airstrip - trying to see if I could pick up a plane with it (no luck!) as I was doing so, someone clearly had the intention of killing me (he was in a plane) and he flew right into me. However, it was him that got killed and not only that but it counted as a 'kill' for me and he just so happened to have had a $9000 bounty on his head! Easiest $9k I'll ever make!

Would be good if we could customise our apartments in some way, even if it was a few little touches.

Bit pissed off that I have to ask this yet again, but anyone else having problems getting online? (particularly Virgin Media customers and/or PS3 users).

Got my first apartment tonight... Flying high... (had a bounty on my head and two dipsticks were quite a way below me with no idea where I was...)

Back on. Turned out to be a DNS problem with my ISP (Virgin Media).

Anyone know a possible reason why it seems to be working for some but not for others? (I've noticed elsewhere that I'm not the only one that can't get online). Others on my friends list (PS3 by the way) seem to be playing it no problem and infuriatingly I've not been able to accept their job requests etc. Its been fine the past couple of nights then lost/couldn't find a connection after I finished a mission last night - haven't been able to get back online since.

Seems its down yet again..... My patience is wearing very thin.

Thankfully its been fine for me tonight - not one single problem for once! Well apart from one numpty on one mission who couldn't grasp the simple task of collecting a car....

Probably the best GTA character ever in my opinion! His comments to other people (when you press 'right' on the pad) always crack me up: "Why oh why hasn't somebody sensible shot you yet?" "You are an asshole!" "You're a waste of space on this earth" "Why oh why do you exist?" "Listen even your parents can't stand you!" "So we are clear, you look like a tit!"

This one isn't a snapmatic photo - it was 'down' at the time (surprise surprise) so had to use my mobile. Had to bail from the plane after the engines failed (thanks to the cops!) and it ended up wedged. Had to take a photo! Now back to snapmatic... And two from a heist mission:

Another one - Chop! Now I've been kinda neglecting/ignoring him but I finally decided to take him for a walk. Drove all the way to the top of Mount Chiliad and let him 'lose' on a hiker - was quite amusing, even more so when the hiker's body slid all the way down the mountain! He'll be ignored no more!

Everything was fine and now I can't seem to get back on. Now stuck on "Joining GTA Online" and then it times out. Rockstar really have ballsed this up big time.

As with everyone else, the fucking excessive hospital bills! Such a pain in the arse when you're trying to build up enough money to buy a garage, apartment etc. Another thing that pisses me off is the cops - takes forever to lose them at 1 or 2 star wanted levels, I could understand it at 3 or more stars. That can be applied to the GTA V story mode too. No other gripes as yet but only been playing it most of tonight.

That's happening to me now - can't even get to the "waiting for players" screen!

Can't get on at all now - can only get as far as "waiting for other players" before the tutorial, yet last night I went straight into free roam. Did all Rockstar recommended - deleted character, created a new one, deleted update then downloaded and reinstalled it. Losing patience.

If you decide to take the taxi, make sure you've got enough cash ON you - if you don't have enough cash on you to pay for the taxi by the end of the ride then the cops are alerted and you can soon get a 2 star wanted level (as I did!). Didn't have enough on me as I banked all my cash, well apart from $50 which I thought would be enough for the ride.... I was wrong!

I'm on! Had to create a temp character though as "cloud servers aren't available" - not sure if this will affect any progress I make tonight or my money? For 360 yes. Go to their gamercard and mute them from that. I'm sure theres some global mute option somewhere. Thanks I'm on PS3 but I've figured it out. Does anyone know what's the sketch with banking money? How's it done? Can't see any ATM's How did you mute everyone? (I'm on PS3 too). Online with some scouser and his voice is annoying me!

but you can dick around in free roam as your character? Nope. Waited a while longer but was still saying 'launching session' so gave up. Now getting a message saying servers unavailable.

Seems I've managed to get 'on' but been waiting for it to 'launch session' for about 10 minutes now along with a few others.

Beat me (as Michael) at tennis, so had to beat him to death.... naturally! Errrmmm... Yet another person I had an 'argument' with (ok, I started it!)

Think I'm starting to get the hang of it. I've been noting down some share prices for a few companies, basically noting down the highest and lowest I have seen them (obviously updating my notes as I go along) then investing accordingly. Bit 'nerdy' I know! Ironically after earlier slagging off Gruppe Sechs, its actually come good for me! Its been fluctuating quite a lot between $5 and $6 (although lowest I've seen it is $3.10 - not been that low for quite a while now though). Been making 'bits' of profit here and there on it - the latest being a $30k profit.

Think there's no chance of me ever earning anywhere near those amounts sadly. Been constantly saving the game to advance time further but no luck so far with trying to make a profit - may have to cut my losses as starting to lose my rag with it! Word of warning to others - don't bother investing in Gruppe Sechs!
