  1. Making a skill Legendary at the expense of resetting all perks? For a level 60 character, it doesnt seem too wise. Thoughts?
  2. Ah, I guess you're right. What I meant was, people living in more developed and civilized places, like Trevor who lives in Los Santos (or somewhere around it). It's a lot less work going to Wal-Mart and buying some hotpockets or whatever than tracking, killing, skinning, cooking etc... an animal. yes but you can't hunt, kill, and skin a hot pocket in a wal-mart without someone noticing. Pulse i feel like killing something makes you feel like you accomplished something. His point wasn't that hunting and killing wild animals wouldnt be a fun/accomplished activity. Just the fact there most likely will not be any missions that revolve around the actual "sport" of hunting, given the setting.
  3. Plenty of people down south hunt for their food. Granted, its because it seems like 1904 in some places. ie Swamp People..etc.
  4. I'm wonder if that's something we'll even have control over. I could honestly see it as just a random occurence...or something has to trigger it like a cop actually pulling behind you, someone honking, getting rear-ended. etc. Kind of like when Claude would just stand in the middle of the street and flip people off for honking at him
  5. I'd say together, just because even if Rockstar doesn't release the story by itself with 100% focus, I'll still get 100% enjoyment out of it based off of what I've seen so far. Which granted, isn't much, but I fully enjoyed IV when it was together so I'm not sure how vast the single player mode would improve if it was separate.
  6. Baytown Outlaws Watched this movie last night and I didn't have high hopes going in because it wasn't really promoted. But I have to say after watching it, you really grow fond of the cast and dialogue. The action sequences were shot brilliantly as well. The story was kind of all over the place but overall I give it an 8/10 Highly recommended for fans of the Grindhouse genre
  7. Level 60 after completing the theives guild, civil war, and main quests,. He's just been wandering around Markarth, investigating the city while still pondering whether or not to join the Dawnguard.
  8. I really got into the Theives Guild questline because it pertained to my character so well. I had a lot of fun doing all the extra jobs and the special jobs to get to Guild Master status. Seeing the inventory on the shelves in the Flagon piling up and getting all that sweet armor gave me quite the sense of accomplishment It was easier for my elf to join the Imperials, given the fact that the Stormcloaks aren't as inviting to the other races, as they are to the Nords.
  9. I tried with the e-cigs last summer and they helped. I quit for about 4 months. But I found myself going back to cigarettes through going to bars/other friends smoking/etc. I decided that I'm going to cut down though and not try to use any crutches (for lack of a better word). Taking one cig with me to work a day currently. No fun. Kudos to you for kicking it, stick with it bro
  10. The great thing about it is, youre not really forced to choose a side. If you feel that your Khajit is neutral and doesnt concern herself with such matters, just go about your business and steal from their camps I never planned on joining a side with my wood elf, but there just so happened to be an instance out in the plains of Solitude that i described earlier that convinced me otherwise.
  11. No Dark Brotherhood for this wood elf. Level 55. Doing some cleaning up in Solitude.
  12. 50% off Add-Ons ends today. *Downloads Dawnguard* The ability to change your appearance is a nifty little feature
  13. I'm assuming that's your Redguard mage/swordsman rocking a katana? ... roleplay isn't done by how the game tells you to do it, it's your choice in a game like skyrim... kudos to sticking to your guns and staying away from it for the longest time... like you said, it didn't apply to your character... but maybe now he's getting bored and looking for a new adventure like you said?? that's how i treated the DLC's with my original character... he was bored, tired of clearing out bandit camps lol... Right. It may be true that the civil war may not typically affect this type of character, but after all the sneaking and looting, he developed a new way of thinking after joining the Bard's College. Granted, there's not much to that quest, but I like to think that he ran into a student there that was thinking of leaving the life of the arts to join the Legion after long awaiting the rewarding feeling of battle. Then, after he ran into the high ranking officer out in the open, he was convinced that he was meant to be there at that particular time, witnessing that particular event (Also, I havent ever joined the Imperials, so I may or may not have been looking for an excuse ). So after getting a feel for combat and violence, he may just turn to the dark side and join the Brotherhood....then probably repent when he comes to grips with his Dragonborn purpose I'm just conflicted with how i want his story to play out without the DLC. I have points for the Dawnguard download ready to go, but I'm afraid to read too much about it so it doesn't get spoiled...
  14. I'm assuming that's your Redguard mage/swordsman rocking a katana? ..Level 50 with my wood elf. Still on the bare bones version, no DLC. He has yet to embark the main quest with Delphine because he hasn't quite come to grips with the fact that he is dragonborn, but that day may come soon enough. Thane of Whiterun, Riften, and Solitude. Those are the only cities he has done anything productive in. He's the Theives Guild Master now and has just become a member the Bards College. After traveling through the plains of Solitude, he came across a battle between a high ranking Imperial officer and a Stormcloak courier. After speaking with the Imperial, his outlook on the war has been realized. Back to Riften to hang up my armor, make peace with the Theives Guild and tell the fellows the news that he's joining the Imperial Legion.
  15. Reminds me of the tale i told earlier in this thread where i had nothing except magic and party clothes. just went around freezing everyone with a shout and flaming them to death. Took forever
  16. After you do a certain number of quests for the Jarl in that particular city, you become Thane of (Whiterun, Riften, Winterhold, etc), which in turn grants you the ability to buy a house in that city.
  17. Loaded up my level 49 wood elf after about 6 months of not playing this. I forgot that I've barely touched any of the quests and the only two places I've visited on this file (other than numerous caves) are Riverwood, Whiterun, and Riften. Feels good to get back into it. Ahh The Guild, how I've missed my fellow theives...
  18. I didn't think i would be a fan either, but then i found it hard to put down after i started doing small quests for people around the first areas (Riverwood, Whiterun). I'd go into more detail but i dont have the energy to put into words all the great things about this game. I will say my favorite part about it is the fact that there are so many different ways to play through it based on character choice and play style.
  19. I recently got back into San Andreas. Took me back to a time where I felt the urge to throw my controller against the wall doing those races. Haven't felt that in a while I'll pick up Hitman at some point, in between playing Skate 3 and Skyrim.
