Review The Last Thing You Watched

Recommended Posts

Whether it be a movie, tv show, gig, stand up comedy, etc. I'm not including sport events but you could if you really feel the need. Post here and give a short review for it. Try to keep it in the same format as my post.

Final Destination 5 - (Movie)

Exactly what you'd expect from Final Destination. People being killed off one by one in ridiculous ways. The CGI and gore was actually incredibly good/realistic, but the story is just stupid and one of the deaths (laser eye girl) was the stupidest thing I've ever seen. She might as well have just killed herself.

Overall it was enjoyable to watch, despite me finding most of it funny in a way that I don't think you're supposed to.

7.5 / 10

Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.

As epic as ever, even more epic in 1080p, although George Lucas' crap after editing is still in it (Such as young Anakin, fuck that shit)

9.VI/10

Friends With Benefits (Movie)

Basically a story about two people who suck at relationships (Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake). They become good friends in New York and eventually decide to be fuck buddies - totally physical, no feelings or whatever, hence about 15 minutes worth of footage of Mila Kunis almost nude (and Justin if you're into that kind of thing). Although of course feelings eventually do come into it but I won't spoil it.

All I'll say is Mila Kunis is a goddess. She works well with Justin and the story is funny and quite believable, but just watch it for her.

Overall I enjoyed the movie even though it was slightly chick-flicky, but Mila made it worthwhile :D. Would watch it again, maybe on my own this time

:whistle::fap:

8.5/10

Disgusting. I'd rather watch obese-black-granny-scat-beast porn, and force myself to masturbate to it.

Mila Kunis is hot, though.

An Idiot Abroad 2 - EP 1 (TV Series)

Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington return. Karl is given a "bucket list" with 100 things to do before you die and he has to choose ones he wants to do. He decides to spend a night alone on a desert island, but Ricky and Merchant have other plans and send him to New Zealand to bungee jump, meet tribes and go on about 10 flights before he gets a chance to spend the night on an island. In his underwear.

Really funny and Karl's stupidity is still up there with other stupid things he's said in the past. Can't wait to see the rest of the series.

9/10

Live at the Apollo S07E01 (TV series)

Watched it just to see Micky Flanagan in action. The rest of the show was quite average but his stand up was absolutely hilarious. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who's into the whole observational comedian style.

9.5/10 (just for the Micky Flanagan part!)

Machete (2010)

Funny and action-y. Jessica Alba is fucking beautiful. The expensive B-movie effects are nice and original (pretty sure they were done intentionally anyway). But mostly you'll want to watch it for Alba and Michelle Rodriguez

8/10 if you like a film that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Ok well the last movie I watched was twilights breaking dawn so i doubt u want a review of that's. So here is in time instead.

In Time (2011).

This film is based on people using time instead of money. Being paid in time, buying products with time. At the age of 25 your clock starts and if you don't work, you die.

The 'rich' live forever and the 'poor' die young.

It's an interesting concept and the film is generally good, but the story could have been better.

Ok so Justin timberlake, a singer but an actor? Turns out he ain't half bad, very convincing, especially in the more emotional seems. It is strange seeing Olivia wild as him mum mind.

I would give it 8/10

Worth a watch, maybe just rent it tho.

The part with the gymnastics girl was horrible tho. Put me off gymnastics for life!

Lee evan's new stand up DVD 'roadrunner'. Funny but not as much as he used to be, his comic style seems to have shifted somewhat. I never almost wet myself like I did watching his first two. 7/10

Jennifer Aniston is hot in Horrible Bosses. I watched the Source Code last and I give it 8/10, you've got to stay focused though or you'll lose track.

Gran Torino (2008) Clint Eastwood is Walt Kowalski an old Korean War veteran whose neighbourhood, due to his neighbours and friends dying off, is gradually being taken over by Hmongs. The Hmongs are slitty eyed people from Vietnam and surrounding countries and he hates them because they're scruffy bastards who don't mow their front lawns or carry out simple repairs to their homes which makes the area look like shit.

500full.jpg

"This is my car you slitty-eyed little rice eaters!"

With his wife having just snuffed it and his grown up kids and grand kids practically ignoring him and having no respect he just wants to live his final days out polishing his beloved 1972 Gran Torino without being disturbed. The gooks who've just moved in next door piss him off and one of their kids is forced by the local gang of teenage Hmongs to steal his Gran Torino - big mistake.

He makes it quite obvious to all the gooks invading his street that he fucking despises them but gradually comes to accept that they're not all bad and ultimately becomes the hero of the neighbourhood.

With the film being very predictable from beginning to end I'd be ruining it if I was to tell you any more but for those of you who haven't seen it it's well worth a watch.

Absolutely slated by a lot of people but I don't think you can trust what others have to say because you'll never really know if you like a film until you've seen it yourelf. I'm jumping to its defence.

7/10

Gran Torino was a pretty decent film from what i remember. (haven't watched it since 2008)

I probably liked it because it wasn't full of special effects and stuff. I'm really into the 80's films where it was the script that made it good and not..........well I dunno what really but they were just better, especially the comedy films.

I recently watched "red state". It is about a group of boys who respond to an online add looking for wild sex. However, when they arrive at their destination it turns out that the person is actually a religious zealot.

The movie is really good, and there are a couple of lol moments, mixed with some tense moments.

The only thing I didn't like about it is the pastor over acts, like a person attempting a bad impersonation, is hard to understand at times, and goes on a boring monolog for like 10 minutes... But, if you fast forward past that you havnt missed anything important and the movie is good

Yours sincerely, A fine gentleman with an iPhone.
