  1. Looks like I'll be heading out in August, then. Malta looks amazing. May just check it out if I can find a cheap boat.
  2. I will have much more than tree fitty.. But I don't really know how much at the moment. Haven't done any calculations yet since my Bay Area New Years trip is in a couple weeks. cuda, did you see my question regarding the weather/time of year on the previous page?
  3. You can make a new topic, man. We won't mind. I've got about tree fitty...
  4. Cruises are fun if you like to eat and drink a shit ton while confined to one place for a week. Lot of horny women too. Truly a great time when it comes to indulgence, but the time alotted for the places they visit is absurd. There's no time to see anything if they arrive in the morning and depart like 6 hours later. I'd rather sail on my own time. Thanks for those suggestions, massacre. That last one sounds amazing. Well, time to start planning this shit.
  5. I'm starting to think I'm going to skip Ireland/UK this time around since so much greatness seems to be available across the water. I want to visit Greece so bad. It didn't seem too likely due to the distance from all the other places (me not wanting to go through the countries between it and Germany) but I didn't know about ferry service before you guys told me. In that case I'm there! Then I'm undoubtedly going. Fuck! Excellent tips, man! This all sounds very appealing. I had no idea they had ferries enabling me to cross those boring countries on the way to Greece. This post sounds so good I may do it word for word. How serious are you about extremists blowing me up? Should I avoid a certain area or time to visit? You sure like to mention dangers of Spain. Would a day in Barcelona be a safe/worthwhile idea? Man, sounds like I'll be spending most of my trip exploring all of Italy. It sounds like every part has something to offer. Turkey/Greece sound pretty likely now.
  6. Hell yeah. So many replies. Most of you are helping me out quite a bit and I thank you. 1. I don't intend on sticking to tourist areas. There are of course things I've always dreamed about seeing, like the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, the Vatcan, etc... but I'm more of an off-the-beaten-path kind of guy and especially more into nature and old architecture. I could give a fuck about buying a bunch of magnets. 2. Malta? What the fuck is Malta? 3. The reason I plan on September is to go after the hundred thousand high school kids and families visiting Europe for summer vacation. Do you think a September-November trip would negatively affect my enjoyment of the environment? 4. I'm not too worried about mugging to be honest, just trying to get a feel of what I may not be able to read on the internet. I'm a 190lb, 6 foot tall man who grew up in downtown Las Vegas. It's not like I'm a sheltered Christian boy from Minnesota. I don't think I'll be someones first target. 1. Never heard of Nice, but since I'll be in France I'll make it happen. Thanks. 2. I love mountains and white people. I hope to make it up north in Italy but may begin in Rome.. perhaps I'll take the train all the way south when leaving Germany instead of flying. 3. I hadn't even considered Turkey, the Netherlands or Poland, but the former two look really cool after a quick Google Image search. Next time. 4. I really dig that wallet idea just in case, even though I'm not a Jew. Solid. 5. Fuck you. Strange. Is London really not worth a visit or are you being a dick? I would like to see a nice place in England since I intend on checking Ireland out but this kind of puts me off. A coworker from Germany also said everyone in London are fucking nuts. Maybe I'll begin this Trip in Norway instead.. Shit, that seriously was the most helpful post yet. Most was stuff I'd already thought about, but you turned my jumbled mess of ideas into a well-organized write-up. I do intend on smelling like shit most of this trip, bringing barely any clothes. Not even bringing a phone. The occasional check-in on a hostels internet terminal will do. May sell my laptop for a more portable notebook computer. Already planning on the cheapest hostels and seldom nice meals. I will get to know the art of sandwich well. Thanks a ton. Fuck. All of this sounds perfect, particularly the metal detector idea. I'm a big history buff (primary reason I'm choosing Europe over an American trek) The more I think about it the more appealing beginning the trip in Norway sounds. Like I said, I'm much more into the nature and scenery of these new lands than anything. Germany and Italy are two countries that I've been 100% on since the beginning. Luckily, one of my coworkers lived in Germany for the first 30 years of her life so I'm set on things to do there. The northern part of Italy is an idea I'm starting to get into. Switzerland sounds perfect but may be out of my budget. We'll see. What was that a picture of? Scotland eh? Hadn't even considered that. If I'm correct that's as far north as it gets in the UK.. so maybe if I end up in Ireland I'll go there too.. That Paris protest bit cracked me up. Looks like my food budget should be saved for Paris. Not really interested in Amsterdam. Bone Church sounds fucking RAD and metal as fuck but I'm probably not reaching that far east from how zig-zagged my route is seeming so far. Yep. Gtagrl is right on the ball. Luckily my mom loves my idea and is allowing me to move back in until I depart so that's a nice chunk of my paycheck I can put right toward this trip. I may be able to have a little more fun than I originally hoped. On a side note, fuck fish and chips. I'm not really a fan of fried food. I want some weird shit while I'm out there. Snails, bison cock, lemming ear, whatever the fuck you Eurodudes feast upon.
  7. I've recently made the decision that I'm going to leave my job next year and backpack across Europe. I'm not going to waste my time on details, but I'm posting this topic because I know many of you live there and I'd like advice. Where to go.. what to do.. specifically.. where NOT to go considering I'll be travelling alone for this period of several months. I'd rather not be mugged for entering the wrong area. My goal is to see as much of European culture and notable nature while I'm out there. I have about nine months to plan and save but still would like some insight.
  8. Fuck! Just saw this thread. When's the next one?
  9. Well, shit. Reading the last few pages of this topic has made me want to pick up Fallout 3 again...
  10. Shits been mad busy on my end. Haven't had any time to play. Fuckin' bummer. I'm missing some great times it seems.
  11. Honestly, vegan bacon (or as I call it "Fakin") is surprisingly fucking good. Doesn't beat the real thing though. Pork Pad See Ew mothafucka! Spicy 10/10
  12. Chillin' with the mod shop guy before we blew him up. _____ Series of Bones running over peds on his bike (I'm riding bitch) ____ Take 2 of tanker jump. Dio got fucking launched! We decided to step it up a notch. Three tankers under the beach jump. I was in a car so the during pics should be coming soon...
  13. Tore my nipple off because fuck it. Michael's house is haunted. Bones jerkin it in his bulldozer. Bones being chased by Dio Set up a tanker to detonate at the jump.. was real hard to time correctly. Too much fun with bulldozers.
  14. Yes, you do. Cosmogenesis and Omnivium are the definitive Obscura. Retribution has a different lineup and is more black metal than anything. Good, but not my thing. The two aforementioned albums will blow your fucking mind to bits and knock your socks off simultaneously.
  15. ^Hahahahaha they all look shitfaced. Certainly looking forward to new Ihsahn. Pretty stoked actually. New Faceless was great, but didn't stick to me enough to listen to as much as I binged on Planetary Duality. It's still got some phenomenal guitar work on it. To me it sounds like Michael Keene listened to nothing but Opeth, Between the Buried and Me and Nine Inch Nails in the years prior. You know what, I should listen to the album more. I only listened to it for about a month then moved on. Yes, Obscura is definitely in my top 5 metal bands of this day and age. So epic, heavy, deep and diverse. I can never help but rave anytime they're mentioned. Scored the two Blotted Science records on their site when they were just released on vinyl. Blood splattered vinyl and limited editions. Sounds great.
  16. Balancing act.. Adam Bazooka in.. Die Hard 6: Not Plane Around
  17. Just started this a couple days ago on Netflix. Seen two episodes. Badass. Legit psychological horror throughout with some decent acting. I'm way into the kind of shit they cover on this show. I just hope I start seeing some apparitions and more demonic scenes.
  18. Continued from the above post.. a couple more from tonight.. Dio doing donuts Not gonna lie, that jacket is badass.
  19. Dio and I got into some BMX/Pedestrian slaying shenanigans tonight. Dio drinking on somebody's stoop. This dude's too distracted trying to get laid that he has no idea Dio is about to hammer smash his head. He wouldn't stop... Aww.. Dio and his lady going for a stroll. (I think she's a whore) Some killer shots. Took this the other night.. Sandking absolutely owns the Futo.
  20. I had a cheeseburger and leftover chow mein, so I heated up the chow mein mixed with spinach and added a ton of garlic. Garlic Chow Mein Burger. Yes, I'm stoned.
