  1. Dr. Li was always kind of a bitch. No stats or dialogue options will please her, if you destroy the Institute.

None of my other files are finished, yet, but I'm pretty sure she'll be a bitch, no matter the outcome.

  2. Trafficking sounds like a better version of the only good thing about Chinatown Wars. I might have to actually play GTAO again, once this is out.

Hopefully the HQs won't all be glamorous. The Asylum MC could see a big comeback, if we can acquire a warehouse in our home turf.

  3. Just read through the first few pages of this, out of nostalgia. Every gripe I had two and a half years ago is still 100% valid.

    Especially this:

I just hope that GTAO eventually has something resembling a story. There is no reason for my character to do any mission after the initial race with Lamar, because there is no storyline giving the missions a point. What is my motivation supposed to be? If I'm living in a penthouse overlooking the entire city and have $2 million in cars sitting in my garage, why the hell would I repo a car for Simeon? Why am I working for Trevor and Ron and not the Aztecas and The Lost? Why was it Lamar that met me at the airport and not a Vago or a Balla who would show me their side of things?

Make it matter, Rockstar. Make my character a protagonist in a story, not a tool with no mind of his own.

  4. I don't see what the point would be in selling modded cars, when they can spawn money bags with a single button press. Seems like that would be less about making money and more about taking money from other players, which modders can also do easily.

  5. I honestly have no idea. I haven't been back since I finished the quest. I guess that would be a decent place to make BoS, but I'm not a big fan of the place being 100% indoors. I like the wasteland too much.

  6. Bah. Fucking fusion generator requires level 4 of the Science perk. Only my Institute character comes close to that, and he doesn't care enough about humanity to bother with settlements.

Now, once he has the Mechanist's lair...

  7. Hangman's Alley seemed like the only good place for the Brotherhood to set up an outpost. I had intended to build a vertical town that filled the entire alley up to the rooftops, with a private shack for myself up top. Without roof access, it loses its strategic value, since two barricades and a well-placed molotov would cook everything at ground level, in there.

Red Rocket, I've never done much with. I prefer to leave it as a private refuge without much change.

Now, my Minutemen character has Local Leader, and can actually do things with settlements that are worthwhile. Every settlement that signs on with the Minutemen will be safe, supplied, and a major trade hub, no matter how big or how small. Spectacle Island will be a challenge.

I forgot the Playstation store updates in the afternoon. No Wasteland Workshop for me until Wednesday morning.

    Fuck second shift.

  8. The height limit of settlements makes me wonder if there's even any point in trying to do anything with Hangman's Alley. If I can't build a dense, vertical, Brotherhood-run settlement that's high enough to keep an eye on Diamond City and C.I.T., what's the point?

Shame. It's the only place that seemed like it would be a decent Brotherhood outpost.

  9. Shame this one won't have a short-but-solid story, like Automatron. Unless settlements are being invaded and rearranged by well-meaning but style-challenged Mr. Handy swarms.

Some of the locations in the trailer seemed new, for settlements. Maybe I'm finally getting my cabin in the dead, irradiated woods?
