Yeah i would have, but we had a short turnover for the hand-in on that so i just whipped it together quickly. I did post the video of it though. It's that one with the sewer vault/hideout. It wasn't "my" project as such, so i couldn't add to it after the hand-in. I'll post a video of it once the whole thing is together though I just finished a quick street prop. It's rendered in realtime, in-game graphics. I've been practising my texturing a bit on this one.

I enjoyed 1 & 2. but i was a bit sceptical about buying brotherhood so close after 2 came out, and the fact it was still ezio kind of put me off playing it. Is brotherhood a full length game and is it worth playing, coz if it is, i will get it? I do love Assassin's Creed as a whole, but the facts i mentioned did put me off a little.

Does this mean they're available to play on ipads or just Mac PCs?

Here's an email about that from my tutor: I sent him my files, and he's compiling it all together the next couple of weeks i think.

I'm still working on the 'Old West' project, but i have a portfolio to build, and have loads of other projects on the go. One of them which I'd say is almost complete is this old industrial train carriage I'm building. At the moment I'm only making a high poly model, but there is no reason that i wont go back and create an in-game version in the future! Critique, comment or like. Thanks.

Oh yeah, thanks Fitty.

Website Problems/Issues/Requests

Oh dear, you website seems to have been eaten by a giant advert... Either that or you sold your soul. iGTA5 looks like an advert on a Battlefield website! -
Ok, wasn't expecting a complete theme overhaul. But it's ok. I'll get used to it. erm, i closed the status feed panel by mistake, how to i get it back?

*Glances at GTAForums* It better not be too long of an update!

I was going to get a tablet PC, but most of them suck and only have android on them, and at this time i can't afford a proper Windows tablet. So I've gotten a hold of a little netbook for my commuting pleasure. I've also decided to remove Windows OS completely, and I'm running Linux ubuntu OS straight from a usb stick. Meaning the HDD is completely usable for storage. Anyway, I've not really used a Linux based computer before, but I think it's good, and apparently safer to surf than any other OS. I just installed VLC media player on it, and i was wondering if anyone knows any other decent or useful applications/programs for Linux? many thanks, Duppeh

Yeah it's the only in-game visual reference we have on this game so far...

Nice find. Not much to look at at this stage, but good to see something non-the-less. This guy seems to have worked on GTA IV too, so that's a good sign. It's be a good idea to look through his friends portfolio's too!

I think a cheat that turns peds into looters would be awesome (Los Santos Survivor) On a serious note, i like cheats that ease your non-story experience (free-play). Cheats like a vehicle selector, weapon selector, weather changer, time of day changer, character and ped selector. Pretty much what you get on a trainer on the PC versions of GTA...

Unfortunately this comes out in November along with other major game titles! I want at least this, Elder Scrolls: Skyrim and Uncharted 3... I better start putting money aside!

Wow that mission looked pretty much like what i need as a sandbox fix atm! I might go and play a bit of saints row 2, to get back in the mind frame of the saints row! Oh and I'll definitely be up for some online play if you guys want!

I just watched it for the first time in months. Still loving that flash-mob in LC times square!

I don't think anyone would believe "unlimited detail". But voxels could be a good way to go for creating static environment objects with a lot of detail. At current, we use normal maps which give us the illusion of the high-poly detail which we bake from the high-poly models. The only problem with that is it doesn't look good from extreme angles as the illusion breaks. and the models look flat. Voxels however could give us a lot more detail, and could be good for important set pieces or props.

Whilst looking at 3D environment artists online, i came across Jason Lavoie. He claims to have worked on the Favela level in the first announcement screenshots for Max Payne 3. I don't see why he'd lie. Anyway, here is his portfolio: http://www.jasonlavoie.net/ The Max Payne screens are at the bottom of his page.

I wish they were a bit more loyal to their offline game. We need more story mode content!

Yeah this is possible to an extent. I've read into this in the past. I watched this recently too. How they're implementing it i don't know. But good news for me is that they made a plug-in to use it with 3DS Max, so i can export all my high poly models as points of detail . I'll be watching this as it could be the future of gaming. On the other hand, this could make games far too expensive to make. The more detail means more work involved to bring it all together... Keep sceptical about it until they have a better tech demo. ok i just found an interesting view on this tech: Source: http://notch.tumblr.com/post/8386977075/its-a-scam

I could do that, but i just don't have time. Models and textures take much more time than graphics mods. But i do know how to do them. I agree with Mass. If i get a chance to get some more 1080p screens of buildings and stuff, I'll post them for you to play with.

"Clingons: The Hollywood housewives" - From trailer park to chomping old men!

Nice. I see the Dup and Fitty tags, the plane, the San Fierro Stop logo/sign (Which looks believable ), McReary imports. And the image flip. is there any other easter-eggs i missed?
-
Nice. I might play some time, but only to try the new maps too.
