R.A.G.E....??? ... i know the mo-cap stuff and facial imaging wasn't done with the RAGE engine but, i thought the core world of LA noire was... i thought RAGE was R*'s world creator...

LA noire only feels like GTA, but it's not even half as close to the real deal that RDR was... it's far from it... have you ever played, point 'n click games, the sam & max series, or read choose your own adventure books?? it's 80% more like that, and 20% GTA... maybe it's more 70/30 but either way, it's different... RDR was more 80% similar, which gave GTA gamers the GTA vibe... you might only get subtle feelings with LA noire but, it's still there... it just takes a backseat to the gripping story and cunning detective skills you'll be dealing with on a constant basis... i don't expect a lot of GTA gamers to like this... but for me, i love "sam & max" detective games so, i am excited... and the fact that it "feels" like GTA and RDR (because of the RAGE engine) is just the cherry on top ...

i saw one this morning when they were showing a reporter standing outside in NYC talking about the death of bin laden... a bus drove by slowly with LA noire on the side ... pretty sweet if you ask me...

because "those" games are new and gamestop would lose money if they let you bring in any 2 games... i told them on their facebook page that this deal is no better than your everyday deal... trade in any game, get half the value... so, trade in 2 new games valued at $60 and get $25 a piece... sounds like the everyday trade-in deal to me, they're just trying to get you to trade in two games with good resell value at the moment...

hmm, that's posted days after the attacks... then weeks afterward he claims responsibility... he even claimed responsibility for the failed bombing in '93... maybe i need to back out of this topic because quite frankly, i don't want to get into a political argument about it without researching facts because i don't really feel like researching it... i am a conspiracy guy too but, i don't feel like arguing today... osama is gone, that's good enough for me, i don't want to read too much into it right now, i'll wait for more facts in the coming weeks... you can't base shit off of the little bit of news we have on the subject... let it play out in the coming weeks...

i actually agree with the disposing of the body... you don't want to give the extremists the chance to enshrine him or use it as a platform for more recruiting... dump him to sea i say, let the sharks deal with him... and i am glad we killed him instead of capturing him alive, which would of been this long drawn out process similar to saddam's trial... kill him and get it over with... celebrate, then move on...

kaz hirai (i think?) discussed numbers yesterday... while there may be 77 million accounts on the network, there's probably only 10 million customers that have actually bought something... it's still a high number but not nearly the breach that the news seem to make it sound like... news outlets are running with the 77 million hacked credit card accounts, which isn't even close to the truth... grade A journalism there, world... man, america sure does love it's video games ...

if the badge collecting code and naked city code are separate, i'm selling the naked city on ebay... if they are not, i'll sell both anyways... especially since R* confirmed that shortly after release, they will make pre-ordered items available in network stores... i bet i could make $20 for the codes... ehh, or maybe not... if i see them going for $5 i'll keep my code...

wow, that's a pretty crappy offer for non-PS+ users... it's great news for me but for the rest of you, 30 days may be nice but, after the 30 days is up, you lose access to those games unless you sign up for a membership... for me, i get an extra month on top of a service that i do plan on re-upping when it's time... it's a win for me!! i think the only way it would be a win for non-plus members is if there happens to be an exclusive beta and demo this month...

xbox patch is now out... but i am reading some grumblings in the comments section of the vault... apparently the patch is causing a good majority of save files to become corrupt, especially those that are currently saved in dead money... i'll load my junk save that is in the vault to see if i get a corrupt message but, i didn't get any errors with my evil chick, delilah... so, i guess what i am trying to say is, install with "caution"...

i hope that when i log back in, it doesn't try to log me in as CaptainBones... if it does, so long as i can sync my trophies up to them, i'll be OK but, i will be upset if i do lose my "artistadam" moniker because, i'll lose all of my download history and my playstation plus subscription... if that happens, i am about to have to deal with a lengthy sony dispute myself ...

made changes to my post, didn't see that you already posted, lol... i have noticed the game runs more smoothly now... everything seems to flow much better...

umm, how did they get their hands on the PS3 trophies? the network is down and they haven't even released the patch yet!! in other words though, it does sound like this might be an open-world map like you said... and it may say "evacuate zion" but, i think there is a couple of other locations, like new canaan... zion nation park could just be a tribe hangout... or not, it seems like zion is the name of the area you explore... hmm... EDIT: wow, nevermind!! i fired up new vegas to see if the patch would take and it did!! didn't even need the network!! and there's the trophies!! i think i'll test out the new patch, travel to a couple of areas i had problems with, see if they've fixed the freezing issue a bit... EDIT2: OMG, the pew pew is now my favorite energy weapon due to the much lower ammo consumption!! EDIT3: ehh, the YCS187 is still more effective... also, i haven't noticed any drastic frame rate drops... the game seems to pause very briefly when dealing with a bunch of stuff on the screen but, after that quick pause, it runs fairly smooth... the game does pause very briefly now when i change weapons, which could also be the result of dealing with the weapons glitches, haven't experienced one yet... and the areas that locked up constantly pre-patch now work just fine... bravo, obsidian and bethesda... now hows about we get an honest hearts trailer this week, hmm??
