i am not even sure if it matters to be honest... this is 1947 justice and if you're guilty, that's that... i am one mission from the end and i don't think my past judgements will really play any role going forward... i've collect enough evidence throughout the game to come to the final conclusion i am probably going to run into here in the next hour or so... the only thing i might foresee is missing out on a trophy here and there by doing a case 100% correct, or maybe one piece of evidence that would be informative, but when i can replay cases, i'll have those sorted out in no time...
-
you're doing it right, dup... but jamie, come on... the correct ending is the one you choose when "you" play the game ... not by playing the game the way everyone else tells you to... there is no correct ending, there's just other ways to end the game i guess... i didn't even know there were different endings...
-
your doing it wrong... dont restart the mission, play thru it and deal with your choices... no one expects you to be perfect...
-
ok, lets stop talking about marney's wife and get back on topic...
-
yea, you guys need to start using spoiler tags...
-
it's part of the badge pursuit challenge... unfortunately PS3 players can't do it right now...
-
you need to learn how to re-skin textures with the GECK... it cant be that hard to do...
-
oh hell yea, i saw a few different ways to play cases and i know of a few wrong convictions fix on the next one...
-
nothing, you move on and get chewed out by your superior for convicting the wrong person... the only thing it hurts is your final case score... you can't fail a mission per-say... you can fail a chase, or shoot the wrong person, or die... but when that happens the game loads the last checkpoint... there's no wrong ways to reach the conclusion of a mission... it's what makes the first playthrough fun... no need to restart the case if you messed something up... just roll with your decisions and worry about that stuff the next time thru the story...

i only remember rain from oblivion, but that sounds awesome... i didn't know it rained in HH... they must be having fun tinkering with weather effects because in "lonesome road" there is suppose to be swirling winds and tornadoes...
-
none of the melee or unarmed weapons had mods in NV... the bear claw did with dead money, and i guess the melee weapons have 'em in HH... are all the items tribal related in HH? is there the odd "assassin's armor" like stuff lying around, something that doesn't seem like it fits??
-
yea, i think i've convicted the wrong person a couple of times...
-
i am totally ready to play this next week... i am pretty sure i'll have LA noire beaten by then, i am on the final desk and on the final few cases...i am eager to play this now... without spoiling anything, are there sweet new weapons and armor?? how about recipes and crafting items??

i just reached arson and blew the first mission with a wrong conviction... the evidence has become almost a grey area now... it has gotten extremely hard to have it all figured out... i guess i saw the pattern coming when i was in vice, talk about a change of pace... i am on the home stretch though, i can sorta see the story coming but then again, it could be another mirror... the story really starts taking off near the end of the homicide desk and is at full throttle during vice... this game is taking me for a ride right now... EDIT: and don't forget to read the newspapers scattered about during missions... they've already wrapped up a few cases story-wise for me, while also providing a peak into future ones developing around me... i have probably collected roughly 8 of 13... as long as you scour crime scenes and locations within the main story you won't miss the ones i have found... come to think of it, i am probably well on my way to getting that gold trophy stating you need to collect 95% of the evidence because, just about every mission ends with me collecting everything... i am just struggling to use it properly in interrogations and questionings... and no, i have yet to cheat and use an intuition point... i don't wanna cheat, i am old fasioned... i like to beat a game before i start tinkering with the mechanics...

i am having no problems... i am actaully a few missions from the end..

lol, WTF?!?! i drove off a small embankment in a sports car, landing on some patio furniture in someone's back yard... next thing i know there's a chair stuck inside the car and it's being lifted or sucked into a black hole, or something like that!! it starts collapsing on itself so i bailed, this is the aftermath, lol... i think rusty is still in shock ...

can't install it, it tried to access the store and froze my PS3 when i tried it the first time i fired up the game... i haven't tried it since but i am sure that it's not possible... even the PS3 exclusive traffic case is downloaded as well so that's not playable either... kinda sucks but it did say you can play the DLC whenever you want, after it's been installed... not sure if you have to beat the game first or not... but it definitely won't be available by the time i do beat the game, that's for sure...

the graphics, in case anyone got the wrong idea about what i said when i stated "it's not spectacular to look at (the world), but it's very effective..." i was only talking about taking in the city as a whole... when you enter locations and look thru stuff, it's very rich in detail... there's always a bunch of things lying around... some can't be picked up, some can... every location is rich in detail, it's just the city itself seems adequate, gets the job done... i see things that bug me and i see things that look great... it's a mixed bag, and it's starting to feel more like mafia II design rather than the saboteur to be honest... but at least it's got more going for it than mafia II did, that game got pretty boring after a while...

you can see the bush if you are standing over or staring at the body but you can't examine it... no Q-tip or finger inspection...
-
synch says it's on live, or were you planning on using a PC-created character for the first playthrough?? i am actually surprised it wasn't released last night, i thought steam did midnight releases for all of their stuff... midnight as in, west-coast midnight of course...
-
i am pretty sure this is a scene from a mission i just completed... it's hard to see it in this screen but the victim was brutally murdered and completely naked... you can't examine the bush, that's for the coroner to investigate ... it's fun, but it does feel a little different than the usual R* game... the world does not feel like the RAGE engine from RDR and GTAIV at all, instead it's more in line with perhaps the saboteur, which also could be because they are the same era as well... it's not spectacular to look at (the world), but it's very effective... i haven't been to downtown LA yet, haven't really explored much to be honest... but it does look awesome at night... reading people is kind of hard to do, and trying to pin someone when you know they are guilty is tough to do without the evidence... but the game doesn't let you fail if you mess something up, you just get a diminishing score at the end of the case, and less answered questions, leading to a bunch of holes that will probably bother you until you replay the mission and try things different... the faces look awesome though, great acting and you can really really read some of these people pretty well... others are better at playing hardball and it makes it tougher to get the answers you want from reading someone... but, it's effective and quite the challenge... it's a constant mash-up of drive here (or let your partner drive), snoop around, interrogate suspects and witnesses, drive here, chase someone/tail someone/fight someone, follow up on other leads, build a lineup of suspects, drive there, snoop around some more and then some more, then arrest or maybe kill someone in the end... so in that sense it's just about as repetitive as any other R* game ... it's the whole detective thing though that gives the game a fresh coat of paint... feel's fresh and different, yet mundane and repetitive because hey, police work is the same thing in and out everyday... it's how you reach your conclusion that differs... you're always going to be investigating, chasing/fighting, checking crime scenes and locations for clues, driving, following leads, and doing it without violence 75% of the time... i like it...

so, what's your initial impressions, fellas??
-
what?! i've seen 2 bushes already!! first two missions into the homicide desk, 2 bushes... ohh, and i won the frikin' LA Noire display cutout for apparently being 7th in line... WTF am i suppose to do with that?? i'm going to feel like a nerd walking out of the store with that in a couple of weeks...

not sure what stardust is, some sort of space game... wipeout is a futuristic racer, similar to speed racer... it's OK, nothing special... i heard stardust is suppose to be really good tho...
