  1. Okay, a barbed fishing hook could do some damage.
  2. It sounds like you will have a lot of control over some things. In one of the reviews (CVG I think) they say you can chose and place your getaway car as part of the planning. Obviously where you place the car and what kind of car it is will effect how easily you get away. When it comes to how we actually pull off the heist it seems our choices will be a bit more limited. sounds like we have two basic choices, stealthy or direct. It seems the choice that will effect things the most will be who you decide to hire to help on the job (if anyone at all).
  3. I can't imagine a fishing pool being much more then an annoyance. I suppose you could poke someones eye out. The again you could kill someone with a floppy dildo in SA.
  4. u don't say Hey, the education in some places can be a bit poor. I just wanted to make sure we are all on the same page.
  5. I was prepared to blow you off at first, but you make a compelling argument. I suppose something like this is possible. Maybe one of the planning stages is gaining intel. You can choose how you are going to do it, take photos, stake out places and look up areal photos on the internet. perhaps what we choose to do or not do will effect the actual outcome.
  6. I think public transportation as a form of travel is great (caps and such) but no Elder scrolls style fast travel please.
  7. A couple of previews have directly stated that we can customize Watercraft and Aircraft. For instance on Page 2 of the IGN Preview ~ Extract: Rockstar has included more tools in your arsenal and cars, trucks, motorcycles, watercraft, and all manner of aerial vehicles than ever before. Better yet, they’re all fully customizable and upgradeable. In the biggest title Rockstar has ever created geographically, it seems rather fitting that everything around the actual terrain is growing in scope, too. ~ Here is the link to the Article >> http://au.ign.com/ar...big-city?page=2 Oh sweet, must have missed that (and I read the IGN article too). guess I am suffering from a little information overload. That's a good question, it is on par with the question of if we will have shared safe houses and cars. It may just be a player choice. A sahred accound would be nice. maybe they could have cash and weapons stash at a shared safe house. This sounds likely. Now did we actually get confirmation of each character having their own accounts? I guess there are things I missed but I do not remember ever receiving confirmation of that.
  8. I didn't say it was weird... I think we have all eaten the heart of one our enemy's... just me?
  9. I can imagine Trevor skinning an animal... and maybe eating its heart. It sounds to me that they will have a little side mission for hunting. maybe you put on specific clothing and/or go to a certain spot and you are given X amount of time to kill Y number of Z animal.
  10. No one directly said it, but I sort of got the impression that we may be able to customize Aircraft and watercraft.
  11. I would at least like a separation between a safe house and your home. It makes no sense to go back to your home when you are being chased down by cops.
  12. I got ya, yeah that would make sense. They toss in a cool Island to top off the DLC. Thinking about you could have some sweet off road races on a Catalina look alike sine most of the island is a bunch of dirt roads with a great ocean view. you are right, it would probably take a while to build a whole new city. of course for all we know R* started building new city's some time ago in preparation for the DLC. This begs another question, has R* ever expanded one of their maps in their DLC. looking back I cannot think of any examples (except maybe Midnight Club??), I think they always just do something with the same map. Of course that doesn't mean they wont change that.
  13. Catalina would be a great addition, but I don't see it being enough for DLC. I mean for the most part the island is nothing but wilderness, sheep and bison. The only two towns on the island are Avalon and Two harbors, and TH is barely a town.
  14. It is a stupid word. I always have problems with it. There were talks about how Heist will be planned at a set location, I am guessing that will be a joint safe house. Maybe that will be part of the early missions before you can even start the heist. you will need to select a good safe house for planning. I am curious about how sharing of property will be handled.
  15. Sorry, I do not think we have any (naturally occurring) alligators or crocodiles in California. We do have Whales but they are in the Ocean.
  16. I don't know, I remember meth being a big thing. We are talking about a DLC not a whole game so... there are those old MOB style homes you could buy. maybe some fun new wilderness areas (it is not all flat desert) and of course area 51 if they are going to include the surrounding area. Looking back at SA LV was probably the least impressive town of the three. I just remember that it had the bog plane and the best freeways for racing.
  17. This is actually good point. they (briefly) showed breast in RDR, so maybe...
  18. If they were ever going to re-do Las Venturas, DLC would be the way to go. Venturas (or the real Vegas, for that matter) is pretty dull outside of the strip. It couldn't support a full game on its own. Other than that, I agree. Any other city would be better as its own game. I don't know about that. I lived in Vegas for a little while (in the Henderson area). It is generally pretty boring, but it can be a pretty interesting place. North Vegas is a crime ridden mess. Just outside West Vegas has those cool rock mountains (red rock). plus you got the old strip...I don't know it could be hit or miss depending on how they did it. I think the Strip alone could be enough to support a DLC.
  19. From what I heard they only called it an island because that is the word R* used in the demo. I do not think they saw the whole map, at least not in detail. that said, I do not really care at this point. I will love it no matter how they work the map.
  20. well, you know they may have. yes they use the word island, but that term can be used loosely. RDR, for example, could have been called an island as is was an isolated area separated from the (imaginary) outside world. also, even though they said the current fan maps seem to be pretty accurate it does not mean that they are 100% accurate. they even said in the CVG video that there was a huge portion of the map that R* seemed to purposely avoid showing them. so anything is possible... but i think it is an island.
  21. I am guessing that it will not be that simple. one thing I noticed was that the skill of the people you hire will increase the more you use them. so it may be better for you to keep them around for another mission where they can get you even more cash. I think it will be used for when you want to upgrade your car. like maybe you can only do so much until you increase your skill. they did say there will be hunting, but it is probably just not as in depth as it was in RDR. the 90 minute review on CVG has a lot of little tidbits that I didnt really see anywhere else. I suggest watching it if you have not already.
  22. Well according to CVG on their GTA 5 o'clock show that for the most part the fan made maps (the recent ones anyways) seems to be pretty much in line with what they saw in the preview. So it seem you guys are on the right track.
  23. I have been thinking about the reviews and I find it interesting that GI specifically mentioned that the ballas are coming back, but said nothing of Grove Street. I wonder why that was. I mean Franklin and his people are wearing green, we saw "grove" written on a wall in trailer so it seems safe to assume that is the ballas are returning so is Grove Street in some capacity. right?
  24. I was thinking that same thing, but some how I think Fact is probably right.
  25. I have a feeling we will not learn details like that (in regards to the sub) until we actually play the game. I would guess that we could get out, although that would not be to realistic. It will be interesting how they split up the money/weapons/property. R* in the past has been a bit vague on if they would all have one inventory/money supply or if each character would have their own. I think it would be better if they each had there own, but a transfer system like you mention would be good. that also begs the question of what will happen if you try to get into and drive another characters car when they are not there. for example, you buy a car as Micheal but later you come by as Franklin, can he just drive off in the car like it is his? it seems you can actually own things like cars and choppers so that could be interesting. Yeah, I never imagined they take it that far. sounds awesome. I was very happy when they confirmed weapon mods as well. I had been thinking that maybe people were just being hopeful fo0r nothing. That is another good question. They do say there will be some limits to when you can switch. my guess is that you can not do it with a certain wanted level (like maybe over 4 stars) and when you are near death. but who knows. I guess we will see. I feel like R* has really outdone themselves (again). this is very clearly their grand finale to this gen, just like SA was for the PS2 generation. It is like everything for the last 8 years has been building up to this.
