Anyone done the task Jenny o' the Wood? I need help killing the monster... The level of crafting is way too much for me because I feel like I have to collect and craft everything, but it's just not possible... I hope there are enhanced saddlebags because I fill up my inventory so quickly... And all the cool stuff I do craft is beyond my level... I try to make loot dumps but then forget where I leave them... Just about at level 8 and exploring Velen at the moment, trying to stay away from the main quest and areas I get overpowered in... Any favourite weapons, signs or potions yet? One of my favourites is lobbing a dragon's breath (I think that's what it's called) bomb into a bunch of drowners, then igni'ing them to hell...

Is that a Yorkshire pud in there? Yum - haven't had one for years....

Re-loads after dying are a killer... still, gives me time for a ciggie between deaths... I am ok if the fight is out in the open but I struggle with fighting in enclosed spaces. The camera angle always gets fucked up and I find myself rolling into a corner and getting smashed.

My ranks going up a lot quicker in Velen... crafted a sword with 20% bonus XP for monsters then went ghoul raping... good times... I picked up a couple of quest items in Wild Orchard that I still have and I wonder if I have missed something... I cleared all the areas but might have missed a random meeting or something...

It will be a while before I leave Wild Orchard, I reckon... and I need to find a weaponsmith...

My only issue is based with the story and continuity - if this guy is over 100 years old and a legendary Witcher, why the fuck do I have to level him up to face creatures he would have killed in his sleep previously? Also, the main story thread implies an element of urgency is required, yet you can't really move ahead until you've spent days doing little tasks for the people in order to rank up to face the creatures he would have previously been able to kill in his sleep... But it's an awesome game....

^^ I did that but I must have sold them to the wrong person as I only got about 5 or so gold for each... Fuck work... I just wanna get back to this game...

I sold a whole lot of swords but then wondered whether I should have dismantled them for crafting equipment... lots of decisions to make...

I know what you mean Bones.... I played for 6 or 7 hours and barely got out of the first village. Leveling up is slow and you don't get much by killing the low level monsters, it is all about completing quests. But I love it... lots of exploration... lots of collecting... Massacre made a good point in the status updates about the visual clues being difficult to see but I am so anal about collecting everything that I usually find them all eventually... Combat is going to frustrate me once I get to the higher rated enemies especially facing multiple ones... For me, the gameplay is like a cross between Fallout and Fable 2. I hope you eventually get some sort of property or storage facility because my inventory is filling up fast....

My money is on an RDR pre or sequel... I would love to see a new IP though...

Ordered from the library - a very popular book it seems... Try "You" by Austin Grossman... I haven't read it yet, it's next on my list, but it's premise sounds promising... mystery set in a game development studio... probably not as sci-fi as Clines book however... On an Atwood binge again, Stone Mattress and Cat's Eye, with The Handmaid's Tale on order... And then it will be back to the pulp fiction of Walter Mosley and Tim Dorsey, while I wait for The Liar's Key by Mark Lawrence...

Thanks for that... my method has been pull up alongside and try and blast the hell out of them before they do the same to me. Taking down forts is fun too... but not in a storm with waterspouts fucking me up worse than the enemy... I'm content at the moment sailing around the easy waters trying to accumulate the materials to upgrade the Jackdaw, visiting the smaller locations and grabbing the treasure chests and Abstergo fragments. How tough are the naval convoys? Did you bother with the Fleet mini-game?

No, you aren't supposed to... all the CE privileges were supposed to go with you to your new console... I'm only chasing them up on it because I paid extra for that shit so I want it back... I didn't ask for any money and I would give it back for my shit back... Oh, is that the case with the plates?? I only have my original one so didn't know about the new ones...

I am playing Black Flag at the moment. Does anyone have some tips for sea battles? I find myself panicking and pressing random buttons while spinning my ship around in circles... which surprisingly works well against the small traders but not so well against ships that fight back....

Agree totally about the licence plates - I could only change it when I was playing online at the time as well which was a nuisance. I might stick to pirating for now - Black Flag is so much fun...

I got my musket back and I found out through someone else that you need to apply the number plate to each car individually via the iFruit app... so I kept on at them regarding my lost CE stuff... They gave me another $500k after making me jump through a couple of hoops and discovering that the problem lies with them... Does anyone who bought the CE edition and converted their game data to PS4 still get the Hotknife, Khamelion and RS Carbon free?? Did you get your free garages in single player?

Yessssss... I managed to get the 28 days straight... $500k and 50k RP although RP is pretty pointless at this stage of my online career... That's probably me done with this game for a while. The thought of having to socialise with randoms puts me off heisting so I might put that off until I can con some of you guys to help me out... I'll be convalescing after minor surgery in a couple of weeks so will have a couple of days to try and get the heists done at least once. Hopefully someone will be around...
